Man, I had no idea my post would cause such reactions! I sure don't want to cause any trouble to anyone involved with the show...

*backs into a corner*

Like I said I'm not a shipper either and frankly, I don't like the idea of Danny being involved with Lindsay... anyway, there seems to be a hostage situation and Lindsay volunteers to go undercover. Danny is NOT happy about this. Then something goes wrong and he frantically searches for her until they find each other. I know it's not much but like I said, spoilers are a delicate matter and I'm seriously considering to shut up if I'm upsetting people this much...

Innnnnnteresting, very interesting. :) It doesn't sound too bad. Kinda fanfic-tacky, but not too bad. What I'm interested is what happens after they find each other, hohoho! That's the real dealbreaker there!

I haven't weighed in on this discussion yet (boozing and sleeping sometimes take priority over the board! imagine that!) but I'm with almost everyone on this end where I don't at all want to see a relationship between those two. I think that it was forced on us before and just wasn't coming off as real. Maybe Anna took some acting classes over the summer and could make it believable :lol: But it's way too soon to be putting any two characters together. Bleh.

Now if they wanted to make Danny and Flack canon... I'd be down for that episode. :devil:
 
i don't like canon ships period. i'm with Kimmy on prefering to play what if.

that does clear some stuff up though. and that does sound like something out of a fanfic. :lol:

but hey, if that's what the writers want to do, that's what the writers wanna do.
 
One thing I will say ... remember how many thought something would happen during CotP because of Carmine's interview? Well, nothing happened. So it's quite possible nothing will happen here. That said, if the whole hostage/Danny searching thing happens, it may be just that he hugs her gratefully, but nothing more. It could just be a you're-my-friend-i'm-so-glad-you're-okay thing. I just don't see them pushing the relationship that fast (if they're to push it at all). I know CSI:NY is more character driven and all, but it's still part of the franchise and I just don't see it happening. This from a person that actually likes Anna and wouldn't hide from a ship if it's handled correctly .... but I just don't see it happening yet.

Whew! Okay, I'm done.
 
Hmmm, well after reading the snippet about their interaction in that eppy, it does make more sense, I guess? Danny had a strong friendship with Aiden, and he lost her. He and Stella have known eachother for a long time, and he nearly lost her in All Access. He nearly lost his best bud Flack. And he nearly lost his brother, too! Whether he has feelings for Lindsay beyond professional at this point is impossible to tell, but it might honestly be "Oh no, another person who I work with/am friends with, and I could lose her too." Plus he might not have a lot of faith in her undercover skills at this point, and that could play into it a lot. But overall, that's a lot of loss/potential loss in one season, and well, Danny is a bit of an emotional drama queen :lol: and more likely to take it harder than some of the other more "stoic" team members, so perhaps this is simply him reacting to the possibility of another loss of someone he has grown close to, and not necessarily going to play out on the romantic angle, but more on the pure emotional angle. Does that make sense to anyone other than me? Sorry, I haven't properly caffeinated my system yet, this am... :lol: I can see it end up being something that makes him realize that, like Aiden, Lindsay has ended up being a good friend, someone he cares for, even though she started out being the butt of his jokes and target of his animosity. It might strengthen the friendship, without necessarily strengthening the romance... :)
 
Unlike everyone else...I love D/L! And I adore Lindsay.

Why would the writers go through all the scenes they've had if nothing was there?

But I love that spoiler posted by Orison! Makes my shippy heart flutter :)

Maybe the producers are try for a canon in all 3 series...

Talk about an anti-climax! :lol:

Ya know what the scene reminds me of? That last scene in Trapped. When Flack and Stella had that showdown with the gun-wielding perp holding Danny hostage. And Flack rushed in to help cuff the perp and see that Danny was alright.

Yeah, yeah, Stella was there too, but ya know what I mean. :p I bet the only reason the TPTB haven't made Danny/Flack canon yet is because primetime tv doesn't allow two friggin' hot, supremely sexy men to be paired up. BLAH, I SAY. :p
 
That does sound like the plot of a bad fanfic! Sounds like they're not going to make any efforts to make Lindsay a non-Mary Sue character. I'm starting to think the character's only real purpose is to be a love interest for Danny. I'll reserve judgment until I see the episode, but that sounds like the description for Generic Fanfic #4. If the writers want to draw from fanfic, why not the creative ones? :lol:
 
Oh God. A hostage situation? PLEASE. This is so stupid.

I'm beginning to seriously hate this show. I can get my fanfiction anywhere but I want my show on CBS. This is so stupid. So stupid.

*bangs head on wall*

I have a feeling I may be laughing through that whole episode. Omg! She's taken hostage! Oh no!

What about Flack? Hi. What about Stella's ex-boyfriend? What about Mac's wife? What about Danny's brother? AndwhydidyouleaveFerlito?

God. This just sucks.
