True. It was a stupid poll.
I might even consider framing this quote.

Yeah - the simple fact that funding was cut kind of says that the writers either had nowhere to go with it, OR one of their consultants said, "That position doesn't exist - what the hell are you talking about?"
Yeah, definitely.

I think her seniority automatically means that IF there's more than one case, she'll usually get to head it.
What I also remembered after I left for work this morning - Cath has her own office. She has had one since before she became a supervisor, too (you remember her complaining about it in VLV?). So that must mean she's always had some kind of seniority.

I think Catherine is still being paid like a Supervisor right now even if she doesn't really have the title - or, actually, and this would be the perfect situation, if Grissom and Catherine were co-supervisors, Cath could do all the paperwork and Grissom could spend all of the time in the field, as he wants to.

And it seems, this season at least, that he's spending a ton of it there.
Definitely. I've said that for ages, really.

OR that his feelings run so deep that he doesn't want her to know, so he PRETENDS not to like her.
<3333

I think she wanted him to take her side. Ecklie had taken her side, and he was leaning towards firing. I don't believe that deep-down she WANTED Sara to get fired, but I do think she felt Sara should have been punished with more than a heartfelt hand-hold (even though she didn't know that that was the 'action' Grissom took, I think she could tell he didn't exactly yell at her).

So... no. She didn't want to fire Sara, but she wanted people to admit that she'd been the one who had had wrong done to her.
Basically a case of "I want everyone to feel bad for ME! *stompy foot/pouty face*"

Okay, fine. I'll bite.
...arson suspect's mistress?

*SHOCKFACE*. That's it. I'm getting Oskar Schindler to make a shitlist.
I really need to see that movie...

Uh-huh. Yeah. He was checking out the 20 billfold stuck in her ample "pockets".
You know, I actually kept a 20 in there yesterday. Hah. Not a whole billfold, though :p Found it, didn't have any pockets...I'm telling you, it's so handy. Hahah.

It wasn't THAT good.
Oh no you didn't.

Okay, now, onto the ep:

I really REALLY liked it. All of it. I loved the music, I loved the whole 'Chapter' thing, I loved Dave's "no brainer" line, I LOVE that he's FINALLY going to get married...But because this is a thread about GSR...First - teacher Grissom? AWESOME. It made me sad initially when I realised they cut the moment between Warrick and Grissom about women being a handful, but when the Vegas Chainsaw Massacre rolled around? Nothing else mattered - le sigh. Grissom reeling at Sara's adorable "dull speaker" line, him getting all bug-eyed/freaked out when she came at him with the chainsaw? Awesome. Anyone think Brass knows about GSR? Oh and also, it'd be funny if Al's tub comment to Catherine was because he'd noticed Grissom's more cheerful manner lately, but was under the assumption of GCR instead :p (funny in that, it would be awesome to see the comedy of errors before he finds out the truth there)

Subtle, but sweet GSR this week. I think part of why it wasn't as thick as the last two weeks was because the actors were easing back into it, deciding where their characters stood as far as how lovey their relationship was.
Good theory, if not for the fact TT was filmed first.

Anyway, this season ROCKS.

I chose the second one because I've moved on to thinking he was being a tad childish. She was only bringing it up to be flirty. He should have learned by now how to read women a little bit better.

The episode overall though, I thought was awesome. It was different, kind of like "4X4" which is one of my alltime favorites. Yeah, "Toe Tags" is up there for me.

You love us, Sarah.

Anyway, I picked the first option in the poll. The GSR was awesome. Completely awesome. And I really REALLY don't think he was worried about her with the chainsaw, it was just a hilarious 'whoa' moment I think :p Plus his 'miffed'ness was so cute ^-^

I do love you.

I picked the first because I think having been so harsh on GSR for the past two weeks really allowed me to sit back and enjoy this. And as you well know, I definitely like my GSR with a teaspoon of angst.

Yes, Grissom was being childish. But PettyGrissom can be a lot of fun. Petty Grissom leads to back-stroking Grissom, or "Honey" Grissom or "Since I Met You" Grissom.

In other words? He had to make up for it in bed that night.

That's what I meant. This was the first ep shot, therefore, the above.

I voted "other" on the poll. I've stated earlier what I thought of Gris' reaction, etc. So, other. :)

lol. In terms of Toe Tags being shot first - Jesus has WP lost weight. Even between TT and BTK the difference is somewhat surprising.

I don't think the GSR itself, in terms of the actors' performances felt "forced" earlier on, I think it was the situations that just didn't feel as organic as GSR always does. It was a little bit too much like, "We're sorry to interrupt your program, but we want to bring you some GSR just in case you forgot that they're together".

Good, but there's a sponteniaty that the scenes had when they were UST that I was afraid the writers were giving up. This episode kind of alleviated those fears.

Ah, see I thought you meant they were still finding their footing in GSR in BTK, but they'd found it by TT, that's why it wasn't as good initially, and it is now. But eh. I would hope good things for next week, but I'm too weepy and whimpery at the thought of poor Greggo to think of anything else for the moment.

back-stroking Grissom
You said that without gagging (well, doing so openly...and by that I mean *between asterixes*). I'm impressed.

I do love you.
See now THAT, I might frame.

aw. that sounds a really cute ep.
i hope the downloads are available soon, i so wanna see the 'first meeting' one. i love flirty sara, she does that so well.
and could anyone possibly transcribe the first meeting convo. im dying to know what was said word for word.
thanks. :)

I know!!! I completely forgot about Toe Tags being shot first and so I was like "Wow, he gained weight" but no. No, he lost it. I think he's preparing to get shirtless.

Can't wait for grissomsararomance to update! Sara goes at Grissom with a chainsaw??!! Wow! That's love, right there, folks!

Again, though - couldn't better writing just be the culprit? There was nothing OOC about their scenes, even though they're together. It just felt... it felt like what I'd expected GSR-in-a-relationship to be like. Normal, professional, but still with a little bit of flirt and Grissom's eyes travelling the length of her body before he can start talking.

lol.

I didn't mean I was doing the stroking.

On a boat. With ruffles.

Re: Grissom&Sara#22 - Tongues Cost More

AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Why hasn't grissomsararomance updated?! I need to see all this. My eyes are burning!

PS - Yay for a thin, no shirted Grissom! All for that!

Re: Grissom&Sara#22 - Tongues Cost More

Well, I'm not allowed to tell you how to get "moving images of scenes" because it's against the rules), but I think that you could find some solace at the Toe Tags thread on www.yourtaxdollarsatwork.com on page 5 at the bottom.

Also, gglovebug is sick and can't do them right now. So cut her some slack! lol.

Anyway - judging by the fact that they shot Toe Tags in early August, and the TV Guide photoshoot was done mid-September, I'd say that we'll see "thin Grissom" roughly around Post-Mortem or Burnout

Some other GSRs have suggested that the look he gives the redheaded girl is supposed to reflect the fact that he's thinking about Sara all those years ago, just as eager. And, of course, then he quotes the same concept that he first taught to her about first impressions.

Can I just say that as stupid as Grissom is quickly becoming for keeping Sara at his side, knowing that he's going to be gone soon, knowing that Greg is going to take center stage, AND having finally got just a really cute, plain GSR scene... I don't care. lol. Bring on the GSR love! Speaking of which, was anyone getting MAJOR Burden of Proof deja vu with the first pic?

Re: Grissom&Sara#22 - Tongues Cost More

HE'S SHRINKING AS WE SPEAK! And yeah, I know what you mean about deja vu.
