Well, if Sam was in Catherine's life even when she was a child, and I'd tend to believe it, I think she would have known her half-brothers - without knowing they were her half-brothers. That response of Cath's in Burked sort of gives it away.
And, Anne, who would Sam love more? My guess is, it's Catherine. Now that it's out in the open that she's his daughter, and he seems very fond of her (the KKBB limo convo), it'd would be interesting to have a Walt/Cath head-butting scene.
Coolc, I like your suggestion. What if, indeed! And yeah, if they're using the drama to try to reel back in all the disgruntled viewers, it isn't working.
BUT if they were to launch a new kind of spin-off without all the cr*p about being about the science yada yada yada, and just come straight out and say they're spinning off with the Braun Saga, now that might reel in viewers. Sex & Sin in Las Vegas. :devil:

The Braun Saga - kind of like a Dallas or Dynasty type of thing - I'd go for that!! Sam, Cath, Lindsey, Lily, Walt - with their extended families (that would have to include Gil!!)
So, we know Sam is a murderer, Walt is a murderer - Cath has the Braun blood. Would she ever be capable of cold blooded murder? Especially if it concerned protecting Lindsey. Remember in PoTR when she was talking about LH, she said "I would've. I wouldn't have slept with him first".

Oh absolutely! I mean, from Spellbound, we got a hint that Gil and Sam had been maybe having drinks together or something. The "Say hi to Sam" throw-away line.

For once there, we've got a great bit of continuity. Remember S1 ep Unfriendly Skies? At the end of that, Catherine said, "If it involves the protection of my child I fight to the death." *shudder*

Well, if we're going for an all-out drama, we'd need to bring Lady H into the mix. The C/G/LH triangle would work extremely well. I would make that a happy triangle, not an angsty one - because both C & G like LH you know! And, there's gotta be someone from Gil's past that makes an appearance. We need some angst from his side. His mom too.
WHo else do we have? Definitely Doc Robbins, maybe Jacqui too, as she & Cath seem to have a good rapport. Gotta have little Judy, the receptionist too. She'd make a good peacemaker between everyone.
Someone needs to put this into a decent fic. Any takers?

Hey Catherine, we're not on BTA here so we've to strictly limit our comments to GC.
Thinking about it, I realise what a magnet for other people GC really are as a couple. We've got wonderful tension (not necessarily angsty, just tension and sizzle) when we have GC + Brass, GC + Warrick, GC + Ecklie, GC + Sophia, GC + Hodges... and of all the all time great triangular relationships - GC + Sam and GC + Eddie. Oh I forgot, in a totally different way, in the early seasons, I loved GC + Greg!
Then they made Greg all serious...
My guess is that the other characters have mostly been depicted as unidimensional. So in trying to "inflate" them, they are rewriting their personal stories. Bad idea. Fans have memories.

I'm definitely liking all these suggestions. I would have loved to see more of C/LH. That short scene they shared in SoLV was sublime. A pity TMTB didn't think to put them together on PotTR. The naturally close connection between them is as undeniable as the GC chemistry. C/G/LH would be awesome.

I'd say they have a pretty good memory of certain bits concerning Catherine that they've dealt with in earlier episodes. We just need to forget about the character bios. It's for the other characters that they seem to be re-writing whole chunks of the stuff they've already committed on film.
My guess is that the other characters have mostly been depicted as unidimensional. So in trying to "inflate" them, they are rewriting their personal stories. Bad idea. Fans have memories.

ren I love all the triangular relationships that you have listed and I agree, what have they done to greg? Oh, I think you left out GC + doc robbins, when gil and cath walked in on him playing air guitar in the morgue I was laughing so hard my mom thought I had gone nuts :lol:

Oh, I think you left out GC + doc robbins, when gil and cath walked in on him playing air guitar in the morgue I was laughing so hard my mom thought I had gone nuts :lol:IMO, TMTB seems to be quite reliant on cath drama, they had to have one or two episodes every season that is cath-heavy and now it looks like they are relying on cath drama to rescue the show so whether they like it or not, they have to do their homework on cath's storyline. But I have to say that I was not very pleased with their portrayal of cath in S5. For me, they are still losing their grip on cath's character even if they might have gotten bits of her past right.

Anyways, since CSI is going the soap opera route anyways, I also would like to see a G/C flashback.. back in the days when Cath had 'the bush' hair and Gil(beardless) wore those loose frumpy jackets lol. :lol:

A GC flashback would be awesome, they really should include it in the show. But since they are having spin offs can we also get GC: The early days? I would like to see how their friendship developed, how cath got this man who cares only about work and bugs to open up a little and let her into his life.
