Boa gives them her jacket and Calleigh lays it on top of Ryan. His body is trembling from coldness probably from lack of blood. He looks up toward Boa reaching his hand to her," thanks...” His lips quiver," you’re….. a great woman." He tries to give her a smile but a pain shoots through his body making him cry out in pain.

Eric was just about to escort the medics in to see to Ryan, when he saw what appeared to be a hand out of the corner of his eye. He did a quick double-take and realized it was, in fact, a hand.

He ran over and checked the person's vitals.. he was dead. He called the medics over to where he was leaning over the body.

"Someone call the ME. I just found a DB over here," he said with a sigh.
 
Okay guys, first of all, a few small points I feel like I have to say.

I have to say a big big thank you to Reine for having played Eric. She was there when I was stressing out over getting a new Eric. So thanks Reine, and I'm sorry you had to leave.

Second, if someone, and I mean anyone here, has a problem with one of the posters or something that was written in the story, please PM me. I started this RP and I'm surprised to see that people complain with everyone but me. So please, if something's wrong, send me a PM.

ChristineCaine, thanks for taking over Delko. I don't really understand your post though. The paramedics are supposed to go Ryan (who's dying) and you call them over to a DB. I'm guessing the body you're talking about is the friend of Josh (I can't think of something else) but could you please send in the medics to save Ryan? Thanks! ;)

Thanks for the jacket Katie, but Sue seems to have forgotten he was under 2 blankets. :lol:

Now, for my real post:

Calleigh holds Ryan's hand as he tells Natalia that he is sorry and please don't hate him. Natalia says she couldn't hate him then breaks down. When she composes herself she gives Calleigh her jacket and she places it on top of Ryan, then changes her mind, folds it, and places it under his head like a pillow. Ryan reaches for Natalia now and as she goes to take his hand he cries out in pain, making both Calleigh and Natalia jump.

"Hold on Ryan...come on, we're almost there now. Don't give up on me. Don't let Josh win. This is what he wants, but we're not gonna give him what he wants, are we?"

She squeezes his hand, her other hand now back to stroking his face.
 
Ryan looks up at her fighting to open his eyes to see her," I will…. Cal….. I ….love…" He starts breathing funny gasping for air his body starts shaking uncontrollably. His eyes roll up into his head as he starts to have a seizure. Everyone starts to panic trying to hold his body down.

Eric waited with the body, whom he recognized as Josh's accomplice, until an ME got there.

He then called to the team of paramedics who anxiously awaited his orders. "Let's go. There's an officer down in this building who needs to be taken care of immediately. What are you all doing standing here? It only took one person to call the ME. Come on. Let's go." He was annoyed that they just stood around with him, and didn't help his friend. He led them into the house and down the stairs to the room Ryan and Calleigh were waiting in.

"Hey, Cal. How's he doin'?" he asked, worry written all over his face.
 
The medics rush in behind Delko, right away start working on Ryan. One starts an IV in his arm squeezing in medicine to stop the seizure while a different one tends to his gunshot wound. Another one is accessing his other injuries. After a few minutes Ryan's body stops moving, the seizure is done but now he's not breathing.
The woman medic checks for his pulse. “He has none,” she tells the other medic in a high pitched tone.
The other medic looks at her, “Start CPR until I'm ready to intubate him to help him breathe.”
The team watches quietly as they work on him to save his life. The woman medic administers CPR on Ryan, breathing into his mouth, then doing chest compression on him. Two more medics come in the room to take care of Calleigh, which she’s not happy about. The older medic finally is finally ready to intubate him. The woman medic moves out of the way, giving him room.
He carefully slides the tube down Ryan’s throat, then looks at the other medics, “He's lost a lot of blood and we need to move with him now."
They put him on a gurney moving out of the house with him quickly. They get outside and a helicopter is waiting to fly him to the hospital.
The older medic looks at the CSI team and tells them, “We're taking him to Dade Memorial Hospital. He'll be taken straight to surgery."

Calleigh watches with tears in her eyes as the medics work on Ryan. Normally she would've been jealous of the woman performing CPR but right now she doesn't care, as long as he makes it. Two other medics come into the room taking care of her, but she doesn't want them too, she wants to be there to hold Ryan's hand, to let him know he's not alone.

Suddenly the medics take Ryan onto a gurney and out the house. "What?!" Calleigh gets up and runs after them, leaving two paramedics behind looking like they just saw a dead person come to life. She overhears a paramedic saying they're bringing him to Dade Memorial Hospital, straight to surgery.

"Wait. I want to go with him." She says, coming to rest next to the gurney. "Please let me go with him." She pleads.
 
Delko ran over to Calleigh, holding her back from practically attacking the first paramedic she saw when they started carrying Ryan away in the gurney.

"Hey, Calleigh, everything is going to be okay. Calleigh, look at me," he grabbed her face in his hands, forcing eye contact. "There's not going to be enough room for you and all of those medics in the helicopter. You and I will follow the helicopter in the Hummer, come on. If we throw on the sirens and the lights, we may make it there in time for you to be with him before he goes into surgery."
 
Calleigh was forced to look at him and listen to what Eric told her, though she was shaking her head no the entire time. "You don't understand Eric. You don't know what went on in here. There's plenty of room, it's not like all those medics are taking the helicopter back, the rest can just take the ambulance. Maybe is not enough. I wanna go with him. Isn't it so that one person can always ride? Well I want to. He needs someone there other than medics, you've seen him after the nail accident, he freaked out. How do you think he must feel when he wakes up in a helicopter full of medics and no one else?"
 
"Calleigh, you cannot go in the helicopter with him. You will get in the way. You can't do that. The medics are giving him all of the attention he needs. They are giving him so many drugs, he won't even wake up in the helicopter. Cal, you need to get control of yourself. Please, get in the Hummer," he pleaded with her. "I'll take you to him, I promise."
 
Calleigh could not believe Eric was arguing with her. After all those years he should know that when Calleigh Duquesne had an idea, no one was gonna stop her from trying her hardest to actually get it done. She placed her hands on Eric's chest and pushed him away from her gently. "Thanks for the offer Eric, but I'm just gonna ask a paramedic if I can come." She walked back to the gurney and quickly leaned over to ask a paramedic: "Would it be a problem if I would come?"

{Please remember that Twiz is playing the paramedics as far as I know, so we will wait until she gets back.}
 
The older medic sees the fear in her eyes, he feels bad knowing they have been through a terrible ordeal.” Ok miss I’ll let you go, but you’re going to have to stay back, let us work on him.” They get in get the helicopter and it takes off quickly. Moments into the ride the woman medic shakes her head,” I’ve lost his pulse again.” The older medic checks his heart beat,” he’s crashed and his lungs are full of fluid, start CPR now.” The woman start doing chest compressions on him again while the older medic pulls out a scalpel, she stops and the older medic cuts into the side of his chest then inserts a tube in it, bloody fluid comes pouring out of him. Calleigh watches in horror to what’s happening to him. The older medic checks his heart again,” still nothing, get the paddles ready.” He tells the other medic. He hands him the paddles,” charged and ready.” The older medic takes them,” clear.” Everyone leans back as he places them on Ryan’s chest sending a shock to his heart. His lifeless body rises up off the gurney then falls back down. The medic listens to his chest,” we have a beat.” The woman medic looks out the window,” we’re landing now.” The older medic nods his head,” good, he’s not going to make it much longer.” The helicopter lands and is met with a huge team of doctors and nurses. They take off with him quickly before Calleigh can get out, then a couple nurses come to her to tend to her injuries.
 
A wave of relief hit her when the paramedic told her she could come. Before she knows it they're in the air and on their way. They work on Ryan, but things go downhill. They lose his pulse, he crashed, his lungs are full of fluid... They put a tube in his side and some bloody liquid comes out. Calleigh watches it in shock. She doesn't want to look, she wants to close her eyes but she can't. They shock him with the paddles and they find a beat back and they're landing.

They take off with Ryan before Calleigh can even say anything and nurses come up to her to help her. "Not now." She says, and makes her way past them, following the gurney. "Please let him be okay." She whispers. "Please." They go in the direction of an OR and a doctor addresses Calleigh. "He's going into immediate surgery. If you want to say anything to him, do it now." She runs up to the gurney taking Ryan's hand on the last bit to the room. "Be fine, ok? For me. I love you Ryan." And then she has to let go because they are taking him inside.
 
Eric let Calleigh go when she pushed him away, he felt bad for trying to keep her from Ryan, but he didn't want her to get in the way of the medics in the helicopter. He was glad, in a way, when they did say she could go in the 'copter.

As soon as it left the ground, Eric was in the Hummer, blaring the sirens and flashing the lights, on his way to Dade Memorial.
 
Natalia was going to take Ryan's hand, when he cried out in pain. She closed her eyes and sighed, "Please hold on." She prayed under her breath. He tried to talk to Cal again, but this time he had a seizure. Natalia didn't know what to do, but fortunatly the paramedics rushed in at that moment. They surrounded Ryan and Natalia moved out of the way. She couldn't see what was happening, but from the sound of it, he wasn't doing too well. They put him on a stretcher and rushed him out of the house. She hurried up the stairs after the room was cleared out and watched the paramedics put him in the helecopter. She overheard Calleigh fighting with Delko about getting a ride to the hospital. She was going to go over and tell Eric to let her take the helecopter, but luckily Calleigh pushed him away and joined Ryan.

Shortly after Ryan was taken away, she found Tripp and rode with him in a police car to the hospital. They put on the sirens and didn't stop once until they made it.
