Point of no return is what i thought too, lets hope it doesn't turn into point of no return for this show, no jumping the shark.

but i think so far this season has been pretty great. i mean new viewers are pouring in like crazy (that might just be me making everyone i know watch the show =)) and idk. i think/hope we might be pleasantly surprised by these two.

oh and question, if pt of no return is the pino ep right?
if so i hope really hope we can look i the bright side. i mean a p.o-ed danny, an me from the past, and disappointed hawkes, idk, the guest stars might not be that big of a flop-- if they do flop. the rest of the ep should hold it together. right??

casting... again... pete and ashlee wentz guesting on a march18 episode.

here's the link:

Woe. I must be tragically unhip, for I have no idea Pete Wentz is, and Ashlee Simpson makes me want to weep for the dangerously diluted definition of "talent."

Sometimes I wish Eddie Cahill would sever ties with the show so that I wouldn't feel beholden to its endless streams of shoddy writing, poor plotting and even poorer planning, and shameless, pathetic ratings grabs. Then again, if he quit, he'd probably end up hawking Cialis or Tums on the commercial circuit despite his extraordinary and actual, how about that, talent, so it's probably best that he ignore my career advice.

Still, it's a shame to see actors the caliber of him and Hill shortchanged in favor of the latest trendy media tie-in.

Hehe, sorry - my computer is slow and it's taken me a while to read through the spoilers. Anywho, here we go:
5.19 "Communication Breakdown"

~ The episode starts on the 7 Train - there are people from various ethnic backgrounds speaking multiple languages. A Moroccan man moves slowly through the train with one hand under his jacket. As he passes a Bulgarian man, the Bulgarian man shoves him for stumbling, and his jacket opens to reveal something wrapped around his chest. A Filipino girl freaks out, saying he has a bomb - even though what he really has are broken ribs. The Bulgarian man pulls out a gun, and there is confusion - a gunshot rings out and a man slumps to the ground.

~ The cops have some trouble translating what the witnesses have to say. Angell speaks French with one man (much to Flack's delight ;)), and Stella goes up to a Greek woman to help out.

~ Their victim is the Chief of the Montiquan Indian Nation - indigenous to Manhattan. He has a small-caliber gunshot wound to the abdomen.

~ The case ends up involving online poker, I think (or maybe just regular poker). Also, the Chief had some issues with people over land disputes - he was taking back land that belonged to his tribe.

~ As a random note, Flack later speaks Gaelic (much to Angell's delight ;)), and there appears to be at least one more flirtatious type of scene.

~ Also, I don't think I saw any sign of Lindsay. (Since we're not sure when Anna's maternity leave starts, I thought I'd mention it.)
For the record, I've been hoping Emmanuelle would speak French on the show - oh, how my panties will tingle. :p

Also - ZOMG, acknowledging ethnic diversity in New York City? I'm astounded!

Edited to add the comment about Lindsay.

sounds like a pretty good ep!

the whole ethnic thing is pretty cool, and a filipino is featured? cool. i guess this is what peter lenkov mentioned before of "only in new york" stories. ;)

well it's obvious that stella speaks greek. but angell french and flack gaelic? wow. hahaha. i am so in for a flirting scene. haven't seen one in forever! :)

i would love to see the rest of the cast speak some random other language. like, mac speaking chinese, or adam speaking spanish.

Emmanuelle speaks French in real life, so I kind of figured it was only a matter of time before that showed up in an episode. :p

or adam speaking spanish.
Ah, but only if he's horrible at it and a little old lady hits him with her purse...

What can I say, I'm mean like that.

I actually think that would be cool for her to speak French in an episode (mainly because I'm taking French). But I could see Mac knowing some random language like that.

I'm excited to hear that they are having multiple ethnicities on New York because it's such a diverse city that it's about time! I've been waiting for something New Yorkish to happen, but maybe this is a red herring...

If the episode airs and it's all white people on a generic train and there is no other-language-speaking-hotness, Fay will not be pleased. *narrows eyes*

But I'll cross my fingers that they won't hack this one up the way they did with Sheldon and Kara's scenes in "Help" or the scene I was waiting for where Sid saw Adam with the victim's guitar and Sid had a little 'moment'. Nope, I certainly don't expect that again. *narrows eyes*

Actually, what I do expect is for this episode to be a fluke and 5.20 to go back to 'all rich, white people; all the time'.

did a little bit of research.. thank you wikipedia

gaelic.. somehow related to irish stuff. flack's irish. so i guess it's not some kinda alien language to him.

So does that mean Flack's spoken gaelic to his little Italian kinkapoodle :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

Although thinking about it, has Danny even mentioned what he is? Or is he just from New York?

On one hand it's great that they finally acknowledged that NYC is not populated only by white rich, very American people. But now, it sounds a bit weird to me, they ram all these new nationalities down our throats and it may seem a little bit over done.

I wonder why is Flack speaking in Gaelic? I thought he was born and raised in NYC by parents born and raised here. I wonder what would be the explanation for that. Or if there will be any explanation for that matter.

Thank you so much again!!

Flack/Angell:drool:

Sounds exciting. I hope Flack is somewhere near Angell when she speaks french... she's all that and she even speaks french! That oughta be sexy!

What if she "speaks" the Lady Marmelade refrain...:lol::drool:

Once more we'll have Stella speaking Greek. I wonder if her help out to the greek lady won't ultimately find it's way to the greek embassy, where lives a certain nemesis...
