Over at another site there is another Canadian thread, i am in it but i'm not use to it. This thread has positions for it's peeps! and awesome icons (All though there Killers icons are just as awesome ;)) I am just used to this thread. It's like Edmonton i know it like the back off my hand! (God i hate that saying, why did thow use it)

Errr i hate Edmonton, it's not cold (Well not yet, it's chili) yet it some how gave me a terrible cold  stupid old man winter, he should retire already and get a hunky new commer! like his very sexxy great grandson!

^ Is it? I thought it might be. But yeah, it's a great song. I love it. The version I have sounds like it may be a live recording, though a very good one. I highly reccomend it ;)

*sobs* Hockey season is back :(. I am so not looking forward to days when the Canucks play. The playoffs are even worse for me but thankfully they're months away. Hopefully my dad & I will convert my mother to soccer so it can all end. I know I'm not the only one who loathes hockey. *ducks down*

I'm with you jorja. I despise Hockey. Everyone I know is all excited about Hockey Season, and I sit there covering my ears from all the madness.

Anyone remember that show 'Lance et Compte'? It was on in the 80s, (He Shoots, He Scores- in English) and it was a Canadian Hockey team soap opera. We have to watch that in french class every day, and I'm about to go crazy.

I hate hockey but as a E Towner i have to say GO OILERS!!!!

Today in cooking class was my first cry i had in a while! I jinks my self saying "Oh Onions never make me cry" and i was the biggest cryer in the class. I had to use a drying towel for my eyes and my make up was every where! i deserved it though.

*eyes Kicky* .. Oilers and Flames are duking it out on CBC right now if you want to watch.

 Dammit, I'm the typical Canadian, eh? I like hockey and I don't know why.

I had a French test today. O__o We do an oral test tomorrow. D= Geni, you're lucky.

I cant stop saying Eh, i think it's because my long time...Buddie always says it after EVERY sentance and after
6 years i finally caught on

Well my Brother is now swaring in happiness so i guess Oilers just scored!!!

Lauren, I'm not lucky. French tv sucks. I'd rather do an oral test over french tv anyday. Well besides the fact that in french immersion, every day is an oral test. ;)

Je suis un pizza. :p

I never say 'eh'...I only say it on msn, and maybe in my sleep.

I never take frenche, but i found out that when i get to high school i have to take something to graduate so i dont know what to take??

^ >.O Take something as bazzar as German or Japanese. Italian even! No Spanish or French...

^^ ..Geni, I am so glad I understood that. *is disabled when it comes to languages* La pizza est trés chère à Pizza Hut et Little Ceaser's.

Alors n'achètent pas le pizza. :p

I agree, take something weird like Iranian or...Wildebeast. But not french. It just sucks your soul and leaves you feeling confused at the end of the day.

You ever try spelling english words and accidentally put an extra 'E' or 'S'? ...I even put accents on my 'E's now. The english teacher gets very frustrated.

Ooh take Greek if they offer it! Maybe you think I'm beting biased but it'll help you out so much when you take any sort of English in post secondary schools, especially linguistics kinds. I say that because a lot of English words have Greek words rooted in them, such as pragmatics or synthesia so that when you take a test you'll be able to remember the meanings more easier since part of the word is taken from Greek. Like, if you know what "pragma" means it'll be easier. I know I'm babbling on but knowing Greek will take you far in life, especially when it comes to maths & sciences.

I second that. Take Greek. :D

It seems like such an interesting language, and many languages derive from it such as Latin, French, Spanish, English and many others. And because it's the basis of many other languages, it'll be easier to understand other foreign tongues.

*sigh* Now I wish I took Greek instead of French.

^ Exactly! Knowing Greek will help you with your pronoucation of words. My linguistics teacher who has a British background struggled with the word "synthesia" but I assume that if she learnt Greek she could say the word flawlessly. Another awesome thing about speaking Greek is that you can understand the alphabet which is way different from the one we use here in Canada but I think the best part is that helps you with breaking down the roots of words. 54% of the words in the English dictonary are derived from parts of the Greek language. It may be challenging but it's so much fun to learn, especially the cuss words . Unfortunately with my school they only offered French & Italian & Spanish & I think Japanese as well but I'm not sure.

Ooh, and before I forget I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend. It's thanksgiving this monday which means turkey, stuffing & whatever else you eat. Hopefully the weather will be nice for everyone. Have fun & be safe :D.
