thats a wonderful idea! except one of the conditions of us being allowed to run this here is that everything is done over email to protect peoples privacy from giving out their physical addresses.
hopefully ill know in the next couple of days if we will be able to send this off. i hope i can find out before im gone to new york for a week so you ladies arent left up in the air!

That was why I was wondering about someone getting a PO Box. It would be a generic address that would allow post cards to be sent without anyone having to give out a home address. We could leave off a return address and that way no information is given out.

I was just wondering if there was a way to do that so that those of us who don't have the skills or even equipment needed to send something nice via e-mail could also take part.

Another thing I was wondering about is how much it might end up costing if someone had to print out what could well be a large number of things in order to put them together for George.

Just something to consider...

And Maple ...have fun in NY! (I'm from that area and you are lucky 'cause we are supposed to have rather nice weather this upcoming week...very un-winter like which makes those of us who dread the snow rather happy...although I wouldn't mind a TINY bit of snow for a white Christmas ;) )

Actually there is a way for the postcards to be done that doesn't require physically giving addresses. BTW you didn't hear this from me. :lol:

Get a post card from your town/state, and then scan it in and then email it and then the person can print it off. or if you know a site that has state/country post cards, print it off add in what the person would want to say on it, ect and then there ya go.

Make a scrap-book post cards, pictures of the items (if you can't decide or get) have a couple note pages in it so that you can write in something fans would like to say. ect.

CathStokes, as tempting as that sounds, I would like to try to keep my hosings down to a as needed basis. :lol: Besides, Destiny has an inside track on the latest materials that can be used to decorate us.

Jacquie how did you know yellow was my favorite color? Funny.....after getting smacked with that beautiful pillow, I thought of Nick dressed as Big Bird. With his nice skin tone, he would still look hot! :D

As for the GE project, I think allmaple & Jacquie should be the two to head it. That way we all won't be running around looking like Big Birds! :lol:

Iteresting points:

-P.O. Box would be a good idea too. Especially those who are not able to scan/send stuff via email. No addresses.

-Postcards...another good idea. Note to self: Check with the city and see if I can borrow the water tower for a few minutes.....

:Urge Alert: Why do I suddenly have this urge to make George a pillow that spells out his name with various letters in different styles of fabric? One to many hits with a pillow? Lack of sleep? My past of sewing countless of these crazy things? Maybe I've found the perfect gift for Destiny? See what happens when pillows go rampant in the Ward!?!?

We should wait to see if allmaple & Jacquie are willing to be our Shift leaders. I will do what ever I can to help!

Then we need to decide what theme we are going to be doing and have a backup theme. Nothing wrong in planning!

SparkyGirl as I have stated I'll be happy to help with our fan project. The postcard idea works for me.

Destiny I also enjoyed how your fingers participated in our fan project. :)

As I have stated before my husband and I have our own retail business. If we need to that address could be used and that way nobody's home address is involved and we don't have the cost of a post office box. :)

Jacquie That would be FANTASTIC! :D

This way we don't have to worry about cost or any privacy issues.

I know that most of the people out there could scan things and use e-mail, but I can't and I am sure there are others who are in the same boat. Silly I know, but this way everyone who wanted to could take part.

Also, I thought it might make things a bit more personal if we were able to send the post cards which we could actually hand write messages on.

Obviously I have waaaay too much time on my hands to think about this so much! ;)

That is a lovely offer Jacquie. I guess we are waiting on maple to come back with something before we go on. Don't worry if you can't get it worked out before you go to NY though maple I'm sure no one minds waiting. :)

Thanks to the independent fingers of Destiny for helping out too! ;)

Don't worry Azzie I'm sure we will all find a way for everyone to participate but I agree that it would be quite nice to personalise things.

eta: on the Carmine fan project page you might be able to see some of the entries that people put in their scrapbook, it looks really beautiful, so it would be nice for people to be able to make something themselves, and that could be emailed or sent I guess. :)

Sometimes I think that George is one of the anonymous lurkers on the board and constantly giggling about the craziness in here. What do you think - is he lurking? :D

Ya know, there have been times I've wondered when I've seen some of the comments. Then of course there are the times we rip him apart for things like, the porn-stache for instance, and then it mysteriously disappears! :lol:
