I'd rate this episode 7, it was a little slow in some bits but the overall story was good enough to keep you watching it.

I'd rate this one a 4.5.
I also loved the line "I have a murder weapon of a different sort". I loved that whole scene with Speed, Delko, Calleigh, and Megan.

i'd rate it a 4.5
my favourite parts of this are:
Speed: "I have a murder weapon of a different sort"
Speed: Hey Megan, did you miss me?
Delko: she actually forgot your name...
Speed: i don't know what the latin name for this is...
hehe, they always make me chuckle...
and i like the scene where they are talking about the poisons, and speed says "Water'll kill you if you drink enough of it"...now everytime my frinds and i talk about poisons or something similar, i always say that, and when they ask me how i know that, i usually just smile and remember that scene...

I'd give it a 5 myself...I think it was a very good thing to have somewhat lighter cases after 'Broken'.
Favorite quotes: The aforementioned 'Weapon of a different sort', as well as the 'Megan, did you miss me?' lines.
But probably my favorite is near the beginning when he says:
'Let me get this straight...everybody gets together for sex, and then nobody has it?' :lol:

OH! For those of y'all that have the WGN network, and haven't yet seen 'The Prime Gig', they are supposed to show it next weekend. In my time zone (US Central Time) it'll air at 11:30 pm on April 8, but you need to check your local listings to make sure of when it airs in your time zone.

I loved the convo with Speed and Eric when they were going back into the house. You know the whole "What does Delko stand for anyway?" and for some reason I loved it when horatio asked speed how long he thought they'd be here and speed replies "All night" and at the end that scene with speed and horatio in his office was good to.
I'd rate this episode a 6. It was pretty good, the first time i saw it it kept me guessing, i was like the mom did it, no it was the sister, and i didn't even think of the dad until right around the time we found out he did it. A man who could kill his own children and his wife deserves jail time.

id rate this ep at 5...i really liked it, but this one was really sad too ...it made me not want to ever piss my parents off ever again for fear that they might kill me...
my favourite speed moment was when he was talking to Eric:
Speed: You know, plenty of times my parents wanted me gone, but at least they fell short of taking me out.
Delko: Yeah, how short? Just short, or miles away?
Speed: They're all older right? I mean, you're the baby?
Delko: Maybe
and i like the bit where speed says to H: "well, the last guy standing is the one i want to talk to" and H says "he's not standing, he's riding...and that was him"
overall, one of my favourite eps

Favorite Speed moment: When Speed and Eric were walking back to the house. "What does Delko stand for anyway?" And Delko responds with "Delektorsky. My mom was Russian, my dad was Cuban." And Speed laughs and says "Yeah?" It was hilarious.
I think the episode was good for so many reasons. My actual favorite part is where Horatio says, "The house is a mess, they practically live on fast food". That describes my family PERFECTLY :lol: And I loved how he said "Children will pick up after themselves, but they will not clean." It is so true. Anyway, it basically shows the typical American family, and even though it all seems perfect, it can all be taken away.
It was a very interesting plot. A family slaughtered to death by someone in the family, and this perfect American family was not so perfect afterall. I thought it was genius, and it captivated the audience until the end. The forensics was simple, and understandable, and the characters(such as the sister and the father) were believable.
It was truly one of the best episodes, compared to other ones in season 1, and also compared on a larger scale to season 4. They were on the right track with this episode. Excellent story, excellent episode.
