Eric Szmanda outlined a crisis of conscience that his character, Greg Sanders, will have to confront. "Greg finds himself in a situation where he has to decide what the right thing to do is even though there might be some tragic consequences. Dealing with the ramifications of his decision will be a story line I think that will go on for a large part of the season."
Maybe it has something to do with the "playing with fire" ep. in which the lab blew up and he was injured, it was never really fully addressed. Granted they showed his nervous, and edgy, and they showed his response to another burn patient. But yet in "4x4" he had no scars.
While it could be work related, it could be a personal conflict, I just thought of "playing with fire" and I have no clue why. But hey I could be way off.
