Hmm... not sure where to put this, but it kind of deals with ratings (I think).
CBS Shifts "Blue Bloods" time-slot
So if Blue Bloods is being moved (temporarily, they say) I wonder how/if this will affect NY's ratings. The Defenders will take over Medium's spot for the remainder of the season, and Blue Bloods will only be on a different time for (supposedly) four episodes.
The first episode of the year To What End? brought 9.44 million viewers and a 1.6 in the 18/49 rating.
That is quite a bit of a dip from what the previous ratings were. I'll blame the clowns.

wasn't there football on the other channel tho? sports always impacts these things.
I agree. When I saw Miami's ratings from last night I thought, yeah football isn't NY's problem. I think it really is a shame that NY will probably get the axe first. I enjoy Miami but I will miss seeing Sinise on NY every week.Even with the NFL Playoffs with high-rated NFL Teams (Packers, Bears, and Colts), I'm not sure if football accounts for NY's ratings issues. Miami has the excuse of football overruns especially with the NFL Playoffs. Especially for me, I was far, FAR more inclined to watching the Seahawks at 7-9 play the 11-5 New Orleans Saints, especially the thrilling end that came about. Same with the Jets over the Colts. That Miami managed to muster 11.41 million viewers strikes me as an improvement over the previous episode.
Moving NY to Friday's is/was a really piss-poor move on their part. The sad awful truth is that they don't move TV Shows to Fridays to boost their ratings. They move them there to get rid of them since the primary demographics such as younger viewers and adults often tend to go out on Fridays, not to mention most movies open on Fridays as well. Unless they move CSI:NY back to Wednesdays as soon as possible, a season 8 at this point with the rating tumbling to 9.44 million, has become a much taller order. This could change though but the window's getting smaller with each passing week.
