Oh God! If Sofia came back I would be ecstatic :luvlove:. Make her lab director! She could so do it! Wendy as a CSI would also be great. Unfortunately, my mind is stuck on Sofia now :).
 
It sounds as if Sara is coming back an giving Catherine an 'outsider's' point of view. Not that she's an outsider in a negative way, but being off the job for two years gives her that outside view that's hard to see when you're in the thick of things.

So on that note, that might be why Sara indirectly helps Nick get the promotion. Which is ironic as it was five years ago they were like olympics summers trying to seize the gold medal..only to have it yanked away by the CSI version of the IOC.
 
Well, if Nick is actually getting this promotion, he gets it because Sara is coming back? :wtf: So he doesn't get the promotion because he deserves it or that Catherine thinks he deserves it, but because of Sara. :wtf: I'm sorry, but that is the most ridiculous thing I heard.

Now if Catherine promotes him as a 'in your face' sorta thing to Sara, that would be cool, but Nick still wouldn't be getting the promotion because he deserves it. Looks like he's going to be just used as a pawn. IMO, though I hope I'm wrong, but the way Nick has been treated in the past, wouldn't surprise me.

So Catherine sees things through Sara's eyes? :wtf: Is Catherine just that stupid and naive that she can't see what's happening or doesn't know how to keep the team together? :rolleyes:

Ok, I'm sorry, but why are they focused on Langston wardrobe? :rolleyes: Like his clothes are actually a character. :lol:

"Lab Chief" could be just the term the writer used because they didn't do any research as to what Catherine's actual title is. So I would take that with a grain of salt.

Now I just want to make sure I get this straight. Season 8, focus on Sara because Jorja Fox is leaving the show. Season 9, focus on Grissom because William Petersen is leaving the show, NOW Season 10, focus is back on Sara because she comes back, again, to just leave, again? Hm, I think it should be Season 10, focus on Catherine, Nick, Greg, Brass and the rest because they've been there since the beginning.

My own mother, who does not do the internet, is not happy about the return of Sara and never liked the Sara/Grissom relationship and she thinks tptb are just going to ruin the show. Sorry, I just had to put her two cents in too. :lol:

Like you said over in The Ward Speedy, it has only been 2 months since his surgery. Any time you have to open someone up it's considered major surgery. My feelings are that promoting Nick is their way of giving George some sitting time (or just slowing down time) during the episode. I don't think he's going to be able to do any more of those 12-hour on his feet days like they had while filming Turn Turn Turn.

They better NOT bring anyone new in to replace Riley. They better make Wendy a CSI. She's the only one I'll accept as Riley's replacement. Period. Otherwise, I'd rather have Riley back.
 
George is fine, now that he's had his surgery. Here's a article from our own files in March about his bad back, poor baby:( and maybe they will get a new person after Sara leaves, but I think she will be taking the character Riley's place for now~ I just want to know what the title "FAMILY AFFAIR" meaning what?

I don't want a new person. I want them to make Wendy a CSI. :lol: I wanted them to do that last season. It's what they should have done in the first place (as much as I liked Riley). After losing a character like Warrick, more of the fans would have better accepted Wendy filling the spot because she was already a well established character. They could always get a new DNA tech, or not show one at all and just have the CSIs saying they're going to get the results and then come back and discuss them together. Or Wendy could do both.

Thanks, Smokey, now Destiny is going to hose me because it looks like I double posted. :p

Yes, George's back is better, but surgery for a herniated disc can take 6-months or more for the person to be 100% and even then they may not be.

Why bring in someone new when they could put Wendy out in the field? Bring in a new lab rat or something. Maybe they can persuade Abby, from NCIS, to come and work for the lab. :lol:
 
well sara is only suppose to be here for what 5 epipodes and with riley going so they'll need help in the field
i say wendy should start going out into the field:thumbsup: and a new recurring character a hot young new lab rat guy :drool::luvlove::adore::drool: as her replacement in the lab
because honestly i don't a NEW csi or regular and no one else does either

oh cbs please read this you are destroying csi with the csi langston show
i don't mean to whine but tassler did you honestly watch mascara the 200th ep:scream::brickwall::( or do you cbs even care

Nooooo! Leave my Abby on NCIS, she has to stay there and give Tony and Gibbs hugs.:) OOPS and also McGee....yada yada....But she can come visit sometime.:)

I would have to agree to this. I mean it wouldn't have entered Catherine's mind to promote Nick based on his own merit and Sara had to be the to sort of point that one out? That sounds almost so far-fetched.

Maybe they should have changed the name of the show to GSR. [sarcasm] What with all the GSR overload, taking away much deserved screen time from the other characters such as Nick, Greg and Catherine.

Yes, CSI fans will see different clothes on Laurence Fishburne’s Ray Langston this fall. No, the character’s change of style isn’t a stunt to jack up ratings. ”It was taken out of context,” says executive producer Naren Shankar of comments made by CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler on Monday.
“This is Lawrence Fishburne we’re talking about,” Shankar told EW. “It’s not like we’re sitting him down in a chair and giving him a makeover. It’s really about who this character is now. When he came on board, he was a newbie, he was still very much the professor holding onto that kind of life. At the end of the season he shoots somebody, and it has a pretty profound effect on how he views himself in this world.
“When the new season starts, Langston has really thrown himself into being a CSI, so his look changes to reflect that,” Shankar continues. “He really embraces what it is to be a criminalist. He’s wearing the forensic jackets to the scene. That’s all it is.”
