Script Errors, Mistakes & Goofs

Re: Errors

In the episode with the comedians (Bobcat Goldthwait and Gilbert Godfreid made cameos) the cause of death turned out to be poisoned water. When Warrick walks into the convience store where the second victim was found, there is a California Lottery kiosk/stand in the background. They are, of course, supposed to be in Las Vegas. Not sure if you guys said this already. My apologies if you have.

Re: Errors

The next several errors are from IMDB website. I'm listing them seperatley so I can boost my number of posts. If this is against the rules for some reason, let me know
:devil::

Factual errors: In Episode #2.3, "Overload", while discussing a worker's fall from the roof of a construction site, Grissom states that terminal velocity is 9.8 meters per second squared. That is actually the acceleration of a falling object due to gravity. Terminal velocity of a falling human body (a skydiver, say) is about 54 meters per second. To reach terminal velocity, the body must fall almost 600m. By comparison, the Sears Tower is only 442m tall.

Re: Errors

Continuity: In Episode #2.3, "Overload", Nick spots fibers on the left-hand side of Dr. Sapien's jacket. Catherine goes to take the fibers from the left side, but the close-up shows her taking them from the right-hand side.

Re: Errors

Factual errors: In the opening credits of Season 1, there is a quick glimpse of someone (probably Warrick Brown) playing blackjack. Three sets of cards are visible - the one in the player's hand, scratching the table (calling for a hit) and two hands immediately to that player's left. Because blackjack is played from the dealer's left to right, the two hands to the player's left have not yet been played, yet the cards are face-down between their respective bets and the dealer. In a real game, the cards would have been dealt on the far side of the chips (toward the player). If the hands were in play, the cards would either be in the player's hand or under the chips (indicating a stand). As it is, the cards would never be in the position they are in. (Even if Warrick were playing all three of the hands, they would be dealt in alternating location - one in front of the chips and the next behind, never two consecutive hands in front of the chips.) Also, one of the hands is laid on the table such that it is partially covering its bet - something the casino would not allow because of the constant surveillance of the players' bets.

Re: Errors

Continuity: In episode #1.2, "Cool Change", the man who falls from the building went out and purchased a $40,000 watch. When they show the movement inside the watch it is a Japanese quartz movement valued retail at the most $45.00. Not the kind of movement found in a watch of that cost. The movement would most likely have been either Swiss quartz, or mechanical

Re: Errors

Continuity: In episode #3.19, "A Night at the Movies", during the flashbacks of the shooting in the shed we see the video camera lens being shot out before the boy is shot. The monitor in the lab showing the video tape made at the scene shows the boy lying on the ground when the camera has already been destroyed.

Re: Errors

Audio/visual unsynchronized: In episode: #1.8, "Anonymous", the marks on the ransom note have marks from the drum unit of a laser printer but when they show the page printing from the machine back at the lab it is an ink-jet printer which has no drum. Furthermore, the inkjet printer makes the sounds of a dot matrix printer.

Re: Errors

Revealing mistakes: In Episode #2.10, "Ellie", when Warrick is talking to Greg in the lab comparing Brass's DNA, the boom mic is reflected on the back wall.

Re: Errors

Continuity: At the end of episode: #2.4 "Bully for You", Gil sends off for a grant in hopes of getting Warrick's investigation tool. In the first close-up shot of the envelope, the address is two lines. Later, when Gil licks the envelope, there are three lines in the address.

Re: Errors

Factual errors: In episode 1.09 "Unfriendly Skies", the deceased, Tony Candlewell's age is given as 30. One shot shows a close up of his drivers license which shows his date of birth as 06-18-75. This episode was from 2000 meaning he was only 25!

Re: Errors

grissomrulz, that is against the rules. You cannot post multiple things that you could've just posted in one. Now even you grasped the concept. :) It boosts your post count and that is something that the moderators on this site frown upon. You will either be warned or just told never to do it again. :) :)

Re: Errors

Factual errors: In episode 411 ("Eleven Angry Jurors"), a juror has died from an allergic reaction to a bee sting. Grissom and Sara are searching for the bee's carcass. On finding it, Sara says, "The killer, I presume." Grissom replies, "Or what's left of him." Any bee capable of stinging is a female. As a forensic entomologist, Grissom would know that. As a pedant, he would not refer to the offending bee as "him."

Re: Errors

Continuity: In episode #4.19, "Bad Words", the boy's matchbox in the interview room changes from face-forward to back-forward several times.
