I hope TPTB give DLS more to work with. He is SOOOOO able to handle it.

Saw this idea for another character in another thread. Suppose Rick Stetler found himself and someone else locked in a room that was flooding? He had to save that other person's life. DLS would end up wet from head to toe, especially in a wet, clingy shirt. He might get a little, er, uh, cold in places, and those wet clothes just might cling to him a little. ;)

I really like your line of thinking.:drool:

Also, yes, I really hope next season will finally be the season where DLS starts appearing in a lot more episodes. Personally I want him to be more of a good guy who works with Horatio.

Seems like you're not the only one. I read the review of Chip/Tuck, and it seems like even the writer is wanting Stets and Red (Sorry, I couldn't resist:lol:) to be on the same side of something at least once in a while.

Less than three hours to go!:thumbsup:

Yes! Oh I loved his scenes with H last night! And now he realizes that Ron isn't trustworthy. Good.

MMMMM! Now I feel all warm and gooey inside! Just had my Rick fix!:thumbsup:(but I'm pretty sure it's the ice cream, too! :guffaw:)

Wow! That's all I can say! Even though DLS was in only two scenes, I think they used him really well this time. Normally they'll only use him in one scene, but in the last couple of epis, they used him in two scenes, this time in two unrelated scenes, and he delivered, just like I knew he would.

It was really nice to see him working WITH H and Ryan this time. Usually he's a pain in the butt to the team, but this time he was a PART of the team. I loved it. Really refreshing change.

Anybody besides me notice that his accent really came out this time? I really liked it. I think it's a nice part of his character.

Well, I hope this is a sign of things to come.

Me too!!! And I LOVED the way they left the storyline of Ron still being the criminal informant OPEN (Yay!) so that it will continue next season. So now our IAB guy is involved in an *ongoing storyline*. And hopefully that really will mean we see more of him next season.:adore:

I want to watch the ep again, and get another fix. I want to watch his scenes with Ryan and Tara again.

I didn't really notice the accent coming out more. I was too busy just watching his face. :adore:

That was the nice thing about taping it. I had to see it a day later, but I got to rewind it. And when hubby was working outside, I got my Rick fix. Again, and again, and again, and again!!:drool:

Yep, his accent came out. It wasn't really thick, but you could tell he was a Southern boy.

I really hope the writers won't forget about this storyline. It looks like Rick has to be present whenever Ron's around. Well, guess I better write another fanfic. ;) Ron Saris is gonna lend Stets his laptop. That's all I'll tell you at this point.

Oh, I'll look forward to reading that.

I recorded the episode on a DVD. And I guess it's time to finally try the laptop's DVD thing. Can you tell *I'm* not a techie?

Aw, yes DLS is a Southern boy. I can usually hear a little bit of his accent, if I purposely listen. I really love the sound of his voice.

I don't think the writers will forget about the Saris storyline. He's still working as a what is it actually called?--a confidential informant? Anyway, Saris involved in doing that is too big for the writers to ignore--because it's too big for Horatio to ignore. And since our IAB guy has been working with Ronster, he'll be in the storyline, too.

Well, just 120 days until our next opportunity for a Rick fix (Putting fluffy red jammies in the closet for the summer):(.

Personally, I think DLS is up to his own story line. Looks like Rick and Maxine Valera are the last two original secondary characters who are still with the series. Yelina was a primary character for a while, so I don't count her.

Yes, I hope so much they give our guy his own storyline to be consistently involved in. I wonder when Saris will show up next season. Not that Rick can't show up beforehand. :) I mean, of course he will. :)

I just looked at the calendar, and there's 41 more days until we get to watch DLS in Mending Fences. What will you wear, Alamance since you won't have your fluffy red jammies? It gets really hot here where I live so I might not be wearing anything if I'm alone when I watch the movie.

For anyone who is a DLS fan and reads this thread but doesn't post, the actor is going to be in a movie on the Hallmark Channel, July 4th, called Mending Fences that also stars Angie Dickinson and Laura Leighton (Melrose Place). In the movie a developer wants to buy a town's land to build a casino, but this threatens the towns water supply. Laura Leighton plays a reporter ex-girlfriend of the character played by DLS, and from what I understand, they help try to stop the land/water grabbing casino developer.

Actually, I figure I better throw on a tee shirt and shorts. Hubby might start asking questions.:lol:

I know it's the Hallmark channel, but I just hope his role won't be too "girlie." I'm very wary of chick flicks, though he did really well in "Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood." In fact, you should go back and rent that one. Just make sure you turn up your AC. In his first scene, DLS is in wife beaters and an open shirt. Some SERIOUS Rick Rug!

I'm not sure what you mean by "girlie". If you mean like kind of milquetoast, then I think I know what you mean. But I'm sure he will rock in this role. It should mean plenty of screen time for him. FINALLY.

I did see Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, but I obviously missed the scenes of "furrage", darn it. *fans self* at the thought of all that fur exposure. I WILL have to rent it and soon so that I can see those scenes I missed.

MAJOR HOTTIE ALERT!!

Any JAG fans out there? Got DLS as Karma Rice, a fighter pilot who was shot down in a dogfight because "God told him not to fire." It was just on yesterday, but well worth the watch when it comes around again.

It's really funny to see him so much younger, but then again, this was 1998. As HnStetlerFan says, he has that "brat" look about him. :guffaw: Now that you mention it, I couldn't agree more. Then again, Rick is kind of a brat, isn't he?;)

No Rick Rug, but some serious Rick Guns! The man looks great in a Navy uniform. Heck, he looks great in almost ANYTHING! (Stop dressing him like a clown, Wardrobe! :scream:)

I'm just airbrushing out the bad ties when I use those screencaps as avatars, etc. You and Lynn saw the one that I recently did that with/to.

I didn't think he was brat-like at all in the JAG episode when I watched him in it. It was just a screencap I saw where I thought he had one of Rick's boyishly bratty looks on his face. But Karma Rice was a heroic character. I don't understand why DLS isn't going to be in the new NCIS spinoff.

I have only seen him in one appearance of him in Pro Pre and the first like you have for a picture was not even in Pro Per no CSI Miami.

I did go back and watch his seasonal debut in Chip/Tuck. First time I watched that I missed Ron Saris calling him "Stetts". And boy, the look Rick gave him? Whoa Nellie! Not that I blame him.

Then I think Ron Saris said something like "C'mon Stetts!" and Rick sort of had to follow him.

Not sure why I missed that the first time. Thank God for YouTube.
