Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

Ya I saw the first promo for Empty Eyes actually air on CBS during CSI Miami monday night. It is a great promo, I don't know why they didn't use it during the NCAA b-ball games the weekend before

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

Hopefully CSI will beat the pants of GA tomorrow.. Well, overall, not just beating the repeat :p

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

I was just watching Pardon the Interuption on ESPN, and Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser were talking about how wrong the television ratings system is and how the numbers are flawed with only surveying 30,000 people, because the NCAA tourney is only getting 7 million viewers (which in my opinion is WAY low). Like we have said before, the ratings exclude college students and favor the people who's priority is watching television, hence why they choose to be surveyed (because honestly it is a pain in the ass and a lot of people refuse to do it).

Because in all honestly, I am very very suprised to see how good CSI is doing in the ratings this season, I truly don't believe they have had more viewers then Grey's, but as long as Nielsen continues to do the ratings the way they do, I will take the success.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

1) American Idol Tuesday - 26.84 million
2) American Idol Wednesday - 26.39 million
3) House - 22.18 million
4) Dancing With the Stars Monday - 20.16
5) Dancing With the Stars Tuesday - 17.58 million

Quick update of the "What CSI Needs to Be in the Top 5" chart (gotta find a better name for that). As a reminder, the last time CSI went solo (and yes, they advertised the sh*t out of it, and made it sound like their main star was leaving forever), they got 26.116.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

With 14.0/22, CSI scored one of its highest ratings of the season last night and beat both of the "Dancings" and "House" to be the third highest-rated show of the week, so far.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

Hell ya, when are you going to update the charts for us, Sarah??

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

Funny you should ask... lol.

I won't do line graphs till we get final numbers.

They got roughly 22.522 million in fast nationals. As a point of comparison, Grey's Anatomy's fast nationals for last week were 21.89.

I'm not... pleased with the results, but I think they can be justified a number of different ways, including the fact that they've been advertising the miniature killer and Lady Heather, but neither of those ads or stories mentioned that, you know... CSI would be on this week, and they really almost never played the new episode's trailer.

But... *shrug*

It looks like people enjoyed the episode, so hopefully we'll see a rise for next week.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

Nice Work Sarah, I think we get a CSI-GA head to head matchup next week, hopefully CSI keeps it close again.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

I wasn't surprised by those ratings. The lack of advertising on CBS' part, and the fact that they had a month hiatus, all the sudden bringing in a new episode with no way for any "causal" viewers to realize.

I am hoping next week will bring in more viewers.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

CSI has another two weeks of new episodes, then a one week break for the last time of the season.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

April 5
CSI "Big Shots" (New)
Greys "Don't Stand So Close To Me" (Repeat from Nov 2006)

April 12
CSI "Lab Rats" (New)
Greys "Every Moment Counts" (New highlights show)

As usual, the networks have the unreasonable right to change programs at the last moment without notice. Check local listings for time and channel in your area.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

I was surprised by CTV when they aired two episodes of CSI instead of Grey's then CSI.

I know a couple people who missed the new episode of CSI by watching the one that was on at 8pm thinking it was the new one.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

Ah, that sucks. I noticed that CTV switched times when Grey's was new and CSI a repeat. They obviously think the 9pm slot is the most important.

But it doesn't surprise me that they gave a back-to-back CSI run. It's far, far more popular than Grey's in Canada.

I don't know what to think of the idea of a Grey's clip show. I only hope that people don't wind up thinking it's new and watch it instead.
