Mac/Lindsay--All Dressed Up and Ready to Dance

Hmm... I think that letting Lindsay interact with as many different memembers of the team as possible is the key to getting more of the fans to warm up to her. Just having her work with Danny the whole time is great for those of us who 'ship them *ducks thrown rocks* but just isn't healthy for Lindsay's status in the show and in the hearts of the fans. When she begins to intergrate with the team, people will start to see her more as part of that team, enjoy her interaction, see her in varying situations and eventually come to except and like her as part of the group, even if they don't feel much for the character.

Take Flack, for instance: I don't feel particularly extreme either way about him. He's kinda hot (well, duh...) and kinda funny but I rarely write fanfic about him or take any real interest in his character. However, because I like the dynamics of his various relationships in the team, because I see him as part of the team on the show, I would be very upset to see him leave. I would miss his presence.

For Lindsay to win the same sort of status in the hearts of the fans, she needs to be placed with different characters in different situations and have her relationships with them developed. I think her and Mac's relationship will be key to that, whether or not it ever turns romantic.

Aside from that, it's just so refreshing to see her with someone other than Danny! :D Now, I have to go write fanfic... I got bit by a plot bunny this morning!

They are great together! Where did you find that, adams girl? It pretty much pinned down exactly what makes Mac and Lindsay so sweet and refreshing! :D

it's from thew review of Stuck on you. See even the reviewer say something. Also i've been reading this persons reviews fo rhte past souple of epsiodes and he/she said htat they did not like Lindsay, but for this one they said that they were starting to warm upto her! :D :D

I don't really know if the reviewer is a guy or a girl....

I think you will find the reviewer is closer than you think and walks among us. ;)

I'm almost finished with the second chapter of my M/L fic, hopefully I'll have it up by the end of the day. I'll post a link.

The great thing about reruns for the next few weeks is that I get to pick up on moments I missed without worrying about plot points.

I am looking forward to reruns too, especially since the foundations for M/L were laid on day one and subtltly built up from there. It's fun to see the beginnings that led up to the awesome chemistry we have now. :D

wow that's such a big brother watching you moment...

next new episode has these two working together.....

hmm something to look forward too in the reruns department......

It's even better than big brother, because the reviewer doesn't just watch but participates fully. :D

I'm looking forward to the next new episode myself and being the A case it should get a lot of screen time, which means more Mac and Lindsay for us.

I'm not sure what the rerun is this week, but it will be fun the pick up on all the body language that existed from the beginning of Lindsay's arrival.

I to am a D/L shipper but I'm starting see something more between Mac and Lindsay, especially in Stuck On You.

Talk about torn between two lovers!

I must admit that I have been secretly shipping them since she first joined and "Risk" was the ep that made me go "hmmmm, maybe I am right!" It's funny because I ship GSR,DuCaine(Sp?) and these two. All older men and younger woman and yet I married a younger man! Oh well bring on Mac and Lyndsey!

Hi Synnamin :) I'm loving your banner, but I'm afraid its a little too big for this board. Here at TalkCSI, the max size allowed is 220 pixels (length) by 75 pixels (height), so I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to reduce your banner to meet those requirements height-wise. Many thanks :)

It looks like they're going to be paired for the next two cases--I noticed the new spoilers for "Cool Hunter" also feature a Mac/Lindsay case.

I think the writers are enjoying their dynamic! :D It seems like the more they develop Lindsay, the more they explore her relationship with Mac. The chemistry and opportunity there are just too good not to be delved into! :D

^I agree Top, I think the better the writers understand Lindsay the more evident her chemistry with Mac becomes, something beyond the typical office dynamic. They do have amazing chemistry and the openness of their smiles conveys a comfortable, easy, and trusting relationship.

The parallel nature of their behavior and history, makes them compelling. By that I mean, if the writers hold true to Lindsay's dark past, they both have tragedies in their lives. Mac and his wife dying on 9/11 and Lindsay and her bloody history. I can see the two of them talking about moving beyond grief or pain, learning to let go and live life.

In behavior they both have a seriousness that surrounds them dotted with light moments of humour and interests outside of work. They both crave knowledge and new experiences and would no doubt be drawn to this quality in one another.

I doubt the writers will waste the opportunity to link these two together time and time again.

aww I just remebered that scene in trapped, when Lindsay and Mac were at the lube pool, and Lindsay was like "well tell me what you find." and he gave her this weird half smile. It was soo cute........

awwwwwwwww

That is totally adorable. I love Mac's little eyebrow raise half smile, that is too cute and Lindsay's response. Individually I can take or leave them, but something about them together is irresistable, it heightens who they are, lets me see something deeper than what I see when they are apart or with other people, they have a humanity I don't otherwise notice. Mac is especially growing on me, he seems happier now that Lindsay has arrived. The way they play off of one another is really delightful. I enjoy seeing them together and am looking forward to the upcoming new episodes.
