Louise/Sofia: Tough Women Don't Try, They Do! Part 2

Hi !

that's really great to see how much Sofia (and Louise of course) is appreciate.
Sofia has a great character developpement, I mean since the first episode she appears in, we can see her personality which is very different of others csi's characters.
A lot of lines in the show can be said by one character or an other, and I have the feeling that most par of Sofia's lines can't be said in an other character's mouth (maybe it's juste me).

In the 5 US interview, the way Louise says bye to the journalist, the way she gives him her hand to check it, it makes me feel that it was actually Sofia who says "bye", because she did it in a so strong and confident way like Sofia would do in her job.

Oh and does anyone here saw the film "Countdown" with Louise ? Perhaps I missed it, but I didn't see that you talked about it.
Here's the link to the DVD Countdown
and here two images from this film

Louise Countdown 1
Louise Countdown 2

Excuse-me for my not so good english.
I don't know if it's ok with the images of Louise, I also have them on my computer but don't know how to put them here.

In that first pic, she looks very Sofia-ish. Hadn't seen those before, thanks for sharing.

IMDb says that Leaving Las Vegas has two guest stars with the surname Curtis. I'm pretty sure this is just a coincidence and we're not actually getting any family background but wouldn't it be cool to see something of Sofia's family?

It would be realy cool to see her family and get to know her background a little better. They've kind of talked and revealed things about the other characters but we haven't seen a lot of that with Sofia.

Nice pics Akhesa! Her eyes really stand out in the second photo. I'll have to rent the movie sometime, because I've never heard of it, and I've never seen it!

Ziva and Akhesa I had never got the chance to say welcome to the Louise/Sofia thread. Every new person I see share in the excitement of this great actress makes my heart go thump thump...he he...I'm such a sucker...its the kid in me I tell ya..always feel young at heart!

Akhesa I had not seen nor did I know the movie "Countdown" existed. I have been on a quest to collect all the Louise work I can find. So now I have a new movie to acquire. YAY! Thanks for that info.

I just recently purchased the season six DVD set and watched the "A Bullet Runs Through It" commentary. Here is a piece of trivia to add to her bio someone in here started earlier.

When Bullet aired supposedly Sofia had only been a cop for two months. Short period of time to be on the job and then be faced with a fact as horrible as you may have shot another cop.

Is there anything else worthwhile (Louise/Sofia-wise) on the DVD? An interview or similar perhaps?

You got season six, I’m so jealous. Was there anymore interesting commentary on Sofia? Actually, thinking about it makes me want to watch ABRTI again. I was going to write this in the “favorite scene” thread but I gotta say, one of my favorite scenes involving Sofia (because there are many) is the one where she goes to talk to Grissom in his office and Sara walks in (and not because of any weird shippy GSR stuff going on) the entire scene was so heartbreaking and well acted and reviled so much about Sofia all at once.

You can just feel the isolation and self-doubt and the desperate need to reach out to someone about the shooting; unfortunately it’s to a man who is emotionally retarded. And then there’s the scene with her and Brass, I adore any scene between these two and this was so well done. And that last line “I'm always going to be the cop who shot a cop” Aww; tell me I wasn’t the only one who wanted to give her a big hug. Ok, now I really gotta go re-watch it

Say, wasn’t a new episode of CSI suppose to be on, I’m getting desperate for new pics, or do you get the same problem with the network buggerising you around and not showing a new episode when they’re suppose to :(

I'll join in on the ABRTI love, those were some of her strongest scenes. When she's with Brass, the way she says "It does matter," it just breaks my heart.

No new episode until next week, there was a rerun yesterday.

LadySaraButterfly As far as I know, you have to be a uniform officer for 4 years before taking the detective's exam. Presumably Sofia was in uniform before becoming a detective - which she was before becoming a CSI. Although TPTB play fast and loose with the rules sometimes. Explains some of her reactions in S5 - she was more of a scientific cop like the Miami CSIs. Just my two cents, though...

I haven't been able to find the Countdown DVD over here, I'll keep looking though - sounds like a good film.

I believe Sofia had just qualified for her shield (to become detective) when the sheriff pulled her papers and put her on CSI, so she would have been a uniform before that.

I wonder what kind of uniform officer she was? Probably regular patrol officer but there are all those specialized units, wouldn’t it be cool if she were a motorcycle cop (because we know she likes motorcycles ;) ) I can just see her sitting on one and looking seriously dangerous in her aviator glasses.

Thanks for the welcome LadySaraButterfly!

Okay now to join in on the ABRTI1 love. That has to be one of my favorite episodes of s6. Louise did SUCH an amazing job with that, it was incredible.

Ooh, Sofia on a motorcycle? As someone said in past pages, that's quite possibly hotter than porn.

^Me said that :D

I can't believe I haven't posted here for so long...well one or two days I think. I'm so busy :(

And since you were talking about Sofia and uniforms:

HOT.

Man I LOVE that picture. The connection between Sofia and Brass in that is just so...wow.

And the uniform! *thud*

I cant believe after everything they went through we only got a four second scene of them together at the wake. Plus that and we only got one side on shot of Sofia, no front or full body view :(
