She did add a lot to the show loved watching the action between her and Grissom. It's nice to see a strong female role back on the show after what they've done to the other's. I think this season should be a really good one now that they've added her.

I hope that TPTB will be able to give equal screen time for everyone, and not forget anyone :) Shes worth it :)

I don't care for Sofia because she never was introduced as a character--she just came in and took over the investigation in "Formalities". Had we seen her a few times before then, ie in around the lab, coming/going during shift change, etc, we could have been somewhat familiar with her, so when she showed up to work that case with Grissom, it wouldn't have seemed so blunt, so "forced". And of course, she came across as a MarySue--too good of a character to be true (she's just so perfect and brilliant, she can do everything and anything, and she can do it far better than anyone else). Sofia's since had some nice moments, but since she's a favorite of Les Moonves, I fear my guy Greggo is going to get the shaft in order to give her plenty of screen time without reducing the screen time of the original cast. I hope I'm wrong about this, but there are only so minutes in an episode to split between 9 regular cast and assorted recurring characters.

Oh well, I'll always have the memories of Season 5!

All of us dislike different ones. I think Sofia is going to make a great addition, we need a strong woman on the show. I'm just hopeing they don't ruin her as they did the other two.

obviously shes talking bout catherine and sara..i suppose? :lol: and yeah im already thinking she was a great addition to the show...she added abit of excitment in season 5 between e GSR shipping..making sara fans go mad...and changing her to a detective in s6..fitted into the show perfectly

There's only two other females on the show. Sara use to be happy and funny the way she joked around with Nick, I even liked her. Then they changed her into a moody depressing person. Cath use to be understanding and nice loved they quirky moments between her and Grissom, then they turned her into a bitch.

Sofia is great!

I like that the producers are trying to balance out the male/female characters. That show is a little too guy heavy most of the time.

yeah i almost wanted to strangle catherine for getting pissed over the smallest matter in season 5..eg..grissom going to her crime scene...but anyway she seems better this season...as for sara...i used to like her in season 1-3...but after that unknowingly i grew to dislike her...maybe it was her explosive attitude...maybe it was her fans :lol: that changed my impression of her

I feel the same way and yeah I think some of it is the fans

I still have hope & faith that the WRITERS give us back the old Catherine and don't mess with Sofia, she is fine as is.

Since there are at most only 3 cases per show, I think they have the right blend of detectives - wise and seasoned Jim Brass, young and dashing Vartan and beautiful, caring Sofia.

Finally the producers did something right other than that great all Gil show.
