Uhuh first post in the "Sofia Curtis space"...

Im in the fan club :D

I absolutely love what Louise Lombard does with her character, giving her this humorous/at ease/slightly blasé attitude... Shes stunning, she has a great style and shes classy!! On the work side, I like the little-bit-cynical thingy she has on every case...

When she appears on screen you just know that shes not another girl, shes "someone" and I love that!!!

Duh, when I saw her for the first time, I thought "wow, thats a new character, how strange after all these episodes, but damn Im more than interested!!"

Shes great, lets hope that the show will keep her, and that people who "hate" her because of this hypothetic ship thingy, will begin to realise how particular and important she is...Seeing her more than Sara in the first two episodes of season 6 reminds me of how fantastic she was on screen, compared to Sara who was so boring in season 5...

I hope that TPTB will be able to give equal screen time for everyone, and not forget anyone :) Shes worth it :)

When Sophia first appeared I didn't really have much of an opinion of her because of two main things: had never heard of Louise Lombard before, so didn't know whether she was good actress or not, and also the way she was introduced to CSI, I didn't particularly like, so took a while before I decided she was okay and played quite a nice character. I think I appreciated her more after having seen the film Hidalgo (where it took me a while to realise she was in it, lol, I didn't recognise her at first), and thought she was pretty good in that and liked the part she played. Very different from her CSI character :) though hopefully she will grow on me even more when I get to see season 6, and we get to know more about her character.

Oh damn I never noticed!!! Thanks for highlighting that, I had absolutely NO idea she was playing in the movie, I was sure I had seen her somewhere, but couldnt find where!!!

Kira I just love that movie of Billy I Marg, Just can't ever get enough of it. Ya'know their kissing all the time reminds me of the anniversary ring with the three diamonds which represent - past, present & future - kisses by these two.

Back to Sofia.

I think it's a safe bet to say just like Det. Vartan replaced Det. O'Riley on the show - that Sofia has replaced Det. Vega. It is a smart move by the producers to entice the male viewers (which are mostly silent) with another beautiful woman. But also for us older females who grew up watching Charlie’s Angles and Cagney & Lacy, I certainly like & appreciate a decent portrayal of a woman.

The only bright spot to a lack-luster season 5 for me was Sofia. Between the sub-par writing and rush at the end story telling, the only thing that kept me watching was Sofia.
