Wait, he was talking about people using the damn thing during a meal or a conversation?!

... are people really that rude there?
I know someone who always does where ever she goes and no matter who she's with. She's even nice enough to proudly show you just how many messages she gets and sends and how addicted to her "crackberry" she is and how she loves it sooooooo much.

I thought the video was ok. I do wish that there was less of the host talking and more of Carmine talking though. I could have sworn AJ got a tad more talk time then he did.

Okay, I think I definitely saw a different version of the video on YouTube, which said it was 4 minutes long, but only played maybe two minutes of it. *goes to hunt down the longer version*

Yes, people really are that rude. My cell phone is always on vibrate and I have a hard time finding it sometimes in the debris of my purse. There are people who are *so* rude and ignore cell phone etiquette and it drives me bonkers. You don't use your phone in polite company! Good on him for not tolerating that!

I'm pretty sure that's the same version as the shorter one it just says it's longer. And the "longer" version starts a little later than the shorter version. Therefor making it the real shorter version. Sorry if that makes no sense, it makes sense when you watch them :p

Using a phone during a conversation or meal = extremely rude, anywhere in the world!

Oh yes, Kimmy, welcome to America. We are indeed that rude here. Why do you think everyone else in the world hates us? Oddly, you can actually be out at dinner enjoying what you think is a decent conversation, only to have your dining companion just nonchalantly start checking their email or sports scores or whatever else it is they're looking at. Before your jaw hits the floor, let me tell you that you could also be out on a date and if your date receives a text message, he may likely check it immediately and possibly even take the time to respond.  And it's no better in the professional world, where proper etiquette once reigned supreme. Blackberries suck and, in my opinion, contribute significantly to the decline of civilization. [/rant]

^ We're not that polite either because yes, the very same, horryfying thing does happen around here a lot. Just today at lunch I witnessed it with my poor, innocent eyes... Carmine, my love, I swear I'd never do something like this in front of you though!

People do it here too, but it is amusing when I travel and how people change their demeanor towards me when they find out I'm Canadian and not American.

Ya know, MrsG, it took me a moment to realize you really weren't being sarcastic! (Wait, were you?) Wow, I just ... this is one of those things that's certainly universal, using phones when somebody is there talking to you = bloody rude.

I can understand if you're trying to escape a really bad date though. I once read somewhere that Paris Hilton did that. Acted like her phone rang and she spoke to an imaginary person because the date was terrible in her eyes ... and then the phone actually rang. Hilarious.

And oh hey, is that the infamous nekkid-towel-and-sandals-only photo of Mr. Giovinazzo? How nice it was of him to show us that! Now he just needs to show us the front.

It is also very annoying when someone starts yakking on the phone during a movie, even more so if that person starts talking loudly as if he's the only person there.

I was wondering when the nekkid-ass photo would show up again... :D

I'm actually just fine with him showing us his behind; I don't really want to see his front.

Not being sarcastic, sadly. For once, I was actually quite serious.

Seriously, if he's not going to extend the courtesy of doing a little gay porn for us, he could at least have the decency to satisfy our burning desires with a little full frontal. It's not right to keep the ladies guessing.

Talking about people using their phones during a meal/date, Dr Phil says it's rude, arrogant and disrespectful to the person/people you're with.

Which would make the person playing with their phone, rude arrogant and disrespectful, so would you want to date/have a meal with someone like that? I'd get up and walk out.

Gotta agree with Carmine, I hate it too, it's so damn rude.

Oh my word, I feel as though I must run away with my Blackberry and hide immediately..

Yes, I have a Blackberry..(standing up to be counted) dodges the tomatoes and rotten eggs....lol

Although I must say that I'm not very popular with a lot of people because I have the gizmo on silent and only answer when it's appropriate, so when I finally get some time to myself it's taken up with the messages and stuff that I HAVEN'T answered because I was busy...
