Life Changing Events (Snicker RP)

"Neither am I," he responed with a sense of empathy. "Look at Sara. She's moved on and she's going to be a wife and mother..." he realized perhaps it wasn't best to discuss Sara.
"How about we go for some coffee and talk this over."
He didn't want to spill his heart in her office. They shouldn't be having this conversation at work.

Cath sighed. She knew that Grissom had loved Sara for a long time. She wish that she could have been the target of it all, but she wasn't. She silently stood up and nodded. She grabbed her purse and walked out the door with him, careful not to look into his enticing eyes.
 
(Awww... where to go from here?)

They found themselves in a quiet cafe many blocks away from the CSI lab.
He ordered a black coffee and watcched her as she ordered something. His mind was elsewhere... wondering what to do. Did he have feelings for Catherine? He wasn't sure.

:)o I can't decide whether he should be in love with her, or stay friends with her. Or maybe he could still sort of pine after Sara, but use Catherine to get over her only to realize he's falling in love with her... decisions decisions...)
 
(Hmm....3 choices, I like 2 of the three of them...you can guess which ones lol I like the third one)
Cath quietly ordered a simple glass of water. She was very quiet today, she usually wasn't this way unless she was seriously effected by something, and she was, she was in love with a man that was in love with someone else. She sighed and looked at her hands during the awkward silence.
 
(Hey I'm here finally Its just hard because I lead a busy life, I work,Go to Church,Babysit,take care of a dog, I honestly only come on twice a day during the week and maybe 3 times a day on weekends as for Krystal..the girl that is Nick she's Just as busy as me..so Bear that in Mind)
Sara Looks at Ecklie ,the last time she spoke to him she nearly lost her job she wasnt going to let that happen this time to either of them "I'm aware of the consequences of our actions I'm also aware that Interoffice relationships are okay as long as You keep it out of the lab Which Nick and I Have" she wasnt about to tell Ecklie that they created thier baby in the Trace Lab ,She looked at Nick giving him the chance to speak
 
(Oh, okay. I totally understand. :) I guess you're not enjoying "spring break". :()

Ecklie was also staring at Nick, waiting for what he had to say.

Grissom was halfway done with his coffee when he decided on something. He needed to get over Sara. She was gone and she was happy.
He trusted Catherine and he definitely enjoyed her company. Would it be too much if they went out on a date?

"Catherine... I'd like to do this again," he was struggling with his words. "I mean, can we go out to dinner - we can go as friends but see how it progresses."
He watched her, wondering what she would think. He didn't want her to think he was doing this just to keep her n the lab, although that was part of it.
 
Catherine looked down at her almost empty glass of water. "You don't have to do that to make me feel better Gil, don't lead me on." she told him as she finished off her water.
 
Nick took a deep breath and struggled to find the words to explain to Ecklie that Sara was pregnant...with his child. "Ecklie, Sara and I are responsible adults and we are fully aware that our personal lives should be seperate from our work lives."
 
(well I dont get a spring break I only get certain holidays off ...sadly Easter is not one of them But Yeah *sighs*)
Sara Looks at Nick and cant help smiling ,they both knew they'd have a hard time keeping thier personal lives away from Work but they knew they'd have to try atleast in front of Ecklie ,Then she looked at Ecklie "and Yes I'm Pregnant with is child But we assure you that wont change the way we work"
 
(Oh no! Hope the easter bunny brought you some happy eggs. And other things. :) )

"You're pregnant?" Ecklie's voice rose in surprise, "This is unacceptable! With your schedules, and this pregnancy I can't trust you to be around each other," he pulled out a form, "I got a reprimand from your supervisor and he suggested I talk to you, but I have a better idea," he had his little evil grin...

"Sidle, you're transfered to swing shift. That way you won't bother Grissom or Stokes." He put up his hand before they even tried to speak, "If you do a good job, I'll switch you back to graveyard after five months. That would be over half way through your pregnancy."

With those words he dismissed the two, and went back to his plotting... err paper work.

(Evil yes, but creating drama is what I do. :lol:)
 
Grissom stared at Catherine with a serious expression, "I'm serious. I have my issues, and I'm not leading you on. If there are any feelings I want to explore... I want to do it soon. Please, just one dinner, and If you still want to leave I won't stop you."
 
Catherine looked down at her fingers. She looked diffrent, her rough steel-like exterior had vanished. She looked so sad and veunerable, her eyes lost that sparkle that they used to have, and her words were often silent, and she chose them carefully. Her cheeks were pale, they had lost their rosy color, she looked mentally and phisically drained.

"Okay." Catherine said in a quiet voice. "When?" she then asked, looking him in the eye, with pain reflected in them.
 
Grissom didn't want to disappoint her. She looked like a completely different woman. 'Where was her spark?' He was determined to bring that spark back.
"I'll meet you at your place at 7 o'clock. Dress comfortably." he smiled and stood up. He paid the bill and led her outside.
"Come on. We're both getting a personal day today." His eyes twinkled.
 
(Yeah.....that's the reaction I was looking for.....take the bait Grissom lol :lol:)
"Okay." Catherine said with a small smile as she got into the car. It was 12 already. She had a few hours to relax, and then she had to start getting ready for the dinner at around 5.
