Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64?--Paul McCartney--1967

Paul McCartney arrives in Las Vegas today, two days shy of his 64the birthday-. My sources teel me he's in town for his first look at "Love}, the historic Cirque du Soleil-Beatles show at The Mirage. He's returning June 30 for the VIP premiere of "Love" and will be reunited with the other remaining Beatle Ringo-also in attendance George Harrison's son Dhani and his widow Olivia and Yoko Ono- widow of John Lennon- DUH////  McCartney, who wrote "When I'm Sixty-four" as a teenager probably could never have imagined that he was foreshadowing the trials accompanying his own 64th  that is pretty amazing---

To Sir with love ;) Sir Paul McCartney recieved a royal welcome at The Mirage on Thrusday from the cast and crew of "Love" the new Cirque du Soleil show featuring the musice of The beatles. Sixty cast members and more than 120 technicians serenaded the music icon with a chorus of "Happy Birthday" McCartney, who turns 64 on Sunday than flew in shortly before the show. As he exicted the show admirers shouted "thank you Paul" amid applause. He was to leave Las Vegas late Thursday en route to London, where he planned to celebtrate his birthday with family. Thursday was the 50th anniversary of the first meeting of Paul and John then 13 and 15-they met at a chruch dinner, where Lennon's rock The Quarrymen were performing

My friend and me went over to The Mirage- looking for Sir Paul- right--no way- he's like a shadow- and we were told he had tight security- :( good for him- bad for us- anyway- he's gone now :( maybe next time ;)

Paul McCartney loved-loved-loved it. His only regret after experiencing "Love" for the first time!1 "I wished I had more time between acts to thank the cast" McCartney was singing along, clapping his hands he said "it was beautiful" Made mangement happy-, and it's great for the Mirage-- McCartney , who "looked great and was in great spirits" said Scott Sibella Pres. and CEO of the Mirage--. they do more than 30 Beatles songs and close with 'All You Need Is Love"----Later McCartney dining at Fin. the high end Chinese restaurant at the Mirage-- he's a vegetarian- so they offered him everything veggie from potstickers to veggie chicken nuggets and mushrooms-'

VELVET ELVIS

We can finally report that the lonstanding statue of Elvis Presley at the Las Vegas Hilton will be unveilved at 2 pm Wednesday. Months ago the statue, which since 1978 stood in the Hilton lobby, was moved to allow for renovations to the property. The bronze Elvis will stand under a big blue velvet like drape at the front ot the hotel, in a courtyard just south of the lobby. Presley was a regular headliner at the Hilton from 1969-1976--(I've seen it, amazing)
