BEATLES ARE SWEEPING THE GLOBE ONCE AGAIN

Las Vegas has a Beatles infestation--"Love Cirque du soleil's tribute to the music of the Fab Four, debuts June 2 at the Mirage. "Fab Four Mania", the tribute show produced by david Saxem has been entertaining at the Aladdin for more than two years. And on May 28, the "Classical Mystery Tour" featuring a pseudo-Beatles concert--complete with a 42-piece orchestra--will be at the Las Vegas Hilton for a one-nite-stand. "Interest in the Beatles is increasing all over the world" says Jim Owen who plays John Lennon. Owen has been performing professionally as a Beatles impersonator since the age of 16- At 18 he began touring with "Beatlemania" a former Broadway production. The Beatles, are timless, says Owen I liken it to classical music--there's no new Beethoven or Chopin, but it's still great music-for info call 702-732-5755

THE COUNTRY AWARD SHOW HELD HERE LAST NIGHT AT THE MGM GRAND

McEntire headlines at the Hilton, this week they announced that Brooks & Dunn also would headline and Toby Keith will be at the I Love This Bar & Grill at Harrahs. Kenny Chesney sand "Summertime" and Keith Urban arrived as a suprise guest. and Rascal Flats teamed up with former AI Kelly Clarkson for "What Hurts The Most" Las Vegans love country and this really worked out well--we hope to make this a country week in Las Vegas--Trace Adkins said--Vegas goes 24 hours a day 7 days a week --this is the perfect place for this ;)

Roy Horn will make an emotional return to the scene of the October 2003 tiger attack. A spokesman for Siegfried & Roy confirmed on Saturday that the iconic illusionists will be attending the June 30 premiere of "Love", the Cirque du Soleil-Beatles whow at The Mirage. A complete makeover of the theater has rendered it unrecognizable from the days of Siegried & Roy's 13-year run ath The Mirage. It figures to be a highly charged evening, with Siegfried & Roy re-entering their former theater and surviving Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr making a rare public appearance together. Horn will have mixed feelings, it will be emotional said their spokesman Dave Kirvin, going back to the theater where the tiger mauled and dragged him offstage- to watching The Beatles re-inacted ;)

She partied and danced with her show mates for about two hours, before leaving The Ventian hot spot with husband Guy Ritchie at 1:30 a m -among the invitees we Paris Hilton and Nicky and their beaus Chris Kattan of SNL among others ;)

The Mirage opens the curtain tonight on a new Beatles era. Early buzz suggests it could be a dazzling magic carpet ride, even for a city that's seen everything. "Love "Cirque du Soleil's" much anticipated collaboration with The Beatles begins a four-week preview run before the June 30 gala premiere. The jaw dropping segment, from the raves I'm hearing, is the bubble scene during "Strawberry Fields Forever" During a media preview 10 days ago, the accompanying video for it was not the real deal. The producers were holding back some of their theatrical firepower. In the scene, a piano rises from below the stage. near the end of the segment Cirque characters remove liquid from the top of the piano and fill the theater with stunning bubbles. Another highlight is the "Octopus's Garden" segment when the characters put a large drape and it steals the scene the audience looks like it's being sucked into the stage opening
