Holiday Card Swap!

i'm sure mrs g knows that her friend neimans is getting a new neighbor in SF...barneys. and no i don't mean the big purple one...(<---ewww why did that sound gross) :p

:lol: I know that MrsG has a raging Neiman's Addiction, in that I only spent a few hours with both her and Top this past summer, and in that time we hit a Neiman's sale in Beverly Hills! :lol:

Although I can't really say anything, every weekend I need some form of retail therapy (as my mother calls it) to make me happy. :D

Jorja , you have mentioned some of my favorite designers,and as tempting as it may be.....I have to feed my Carmine addition too! :devil:

You know, I've had a change of heart on this issue. A day with Carmine is ... well, a day with Carmine. Admittedly, a sweet piece of ass. But he will never hug my ass the way the beautiful Burberry skirt I bought this Fall does. I could certainly wear Carmine for the day, but a solid retail purchase can be worn for seasons to come. Sorry Carmine, I'm gonna have to stick with Neiman's.

Of course I know this! :D I'm probably in the minority on this, but I prefer Neiman's. :eek: At least for the brands I wear. Barney's shoe department is better, but Neiman's usually has a bigger selection of my favorite brands. I just had a genius idea though, messinwithmesser -- you and I need to meet up and hit the new SF Barney's one day. :D

Here's a funny little Beverly Hills shopping story for the rest fo you girls though. Thumpy, Top and I got kicked off a bed at Crate & Barrel. We totally piled onto it to have Thumpy's friend take a picture of us "waiting for Carmine" and some mean ass sales person kicked our asses off the bed before we got the picture. :lol:

Damned sales people have absolutely no sense of humor!! Did you explain to her exactly what you were doing? And did she still kick you off anyway? What a mean-hearted person!!
 
We didn't try to explain. We just went back to my place and waited for him on my bed. He never showed :rolleyes:, but we did get pics :D, to our own amusement, while no doubt making Thumpy's poor friend think we're freaks. :lol:

:lol: :lol: :lol: Ah yes, our Crate & Barrel experience!! It was just meant to be a fun picture of the three of us on one of the beds to show Carmine that we were waiting for him. :D If I recall, I think it had to do with some rule that they don't let anyone take photos in the store. My friend doesn't think that we were/are weird. :lol: She thought it was fun. Although, I may think twice before exposing my Carmine addiction to others not already addicted to the man. They will probably not understand. :lol: yeah, that man didn't show, his loss ;)

I loved going to Neiman's, but any type of retail therapy makes me happy :D
 
It's really weird to me that you all have real names for some reason! :lol: I just wanna write all your screen names and be done with it on your cards!

I should be sending out mine tomorrow...I hope. Well, everyone's except for our foreign friends. I have to go to the post office to get the postage on them, but everyone who's domestic should be good to go for mailing tomorrow morning. :D

Hopefully sending mine out tomorrow. I just wanna add a side note on mine here instead of writing it in all the cards... mine say, "Mele kalikimaka and hauoli makahiki hou!" Which means "Merry Christmas and a happy new year!" in Hawaiian. So just lettin' you all know :)
 
^ I'm glad you pointed that out because there's gonna be Holiday/Christmas wishes written in Italian on mine... ;)
 
Thank you Dynamo1! I've got to buy my cards tonight. I'll send them out soon. Hey, my cards are english, 'cause I'm Canadian! I just gotta find a decent post card for ThumpyG, give you a taste of our winters :D
