Holiday Card Swap!

Ooh that's cool! I'm looking forward to receiving cards from different cultures & religions. Plus, I get to learn a new phrase in a different language, one that I'm not custom to speaking very well. The best part is sharing the holiday spirit with everyone. I can't wait. Oh, and don't worry about receiving neekid cards from the mayor of smutville. I know you all aren't freaky like me but for those who are, well...

Yeah, I realized halfway through writing out the cards that I was going to write something in Hebrew, so, yeah, I just was like.. well. whatever, so, some of you may have Hebrew, some may not, I'll finish the rest tommorrow and we'll see if I remember to write it in or not. Oh yeah, FYI, whenever I sign things to friends, family, etc. I always write a little heart and then my name, dont be like 'holy crap, this chick wrote Love.. yada yada' its not that kinda thing, its just what I do, its my signature for cards so, you all can deal with it I'm sure... :)
 
Ooh, thanks for bringing that up. Almost 99.9% of my messages contain the word "file" & "filakia". Those tranlate to "friend" & "kisses". However, I say that to everyone I communicate with so don't be alarmed or be like, "WTF, I don't even know this girl & she's calling me her friend & sending kisses" :lol:. I'm a very affectionate person due to my culture & upbringing & I like to include it in a subtle manner in my writing :). I may add in "koukla" which means "doll". It's jusr part of who I am.
 
^^^ ditto to that one. I'm not affectionate in the whole 'OMG I HAVENT SEEN YOU IN YEARS (even though its been 3 hours) SO LETS HUG AND JUMP UP AND DOWN AND GO CRAZY' , yeah, thats totally not me. But, I do call people 'sweetie', and 'hun' a lot - just comes from working as a lifeguard/medic for 3 years and then working at a vets office too, so, ya know. dont be alarmed if that comes out too.. :)

Mmm, usually I don't buy cards, I make them with my hands :)

I"m so excited to be getting all these multicultural cards. My cards will be coming from Canada. Planning on sending them out this week.
 
I'm thinking I'll buy mine tonight (rehearsals have kept me late every night this week!) and send them out by friday (maybe on my way home from dress rehearsal) so they actually get out there. I'll look for special cards and a post card for ThumpyG. And, Jorja, I don't mind whatever you say, I'm the kindof person who calls her friends 'hun' just for the hell of it. :D oh, I can't wait to get all these different cards! exciting!
 
Damn it, you mean we're not getting love from CSINYRULZ or kisses from jorja??? :mad: Count me out then. I was hoping for a litte action. :lol::lol: :lol:
 
hehe i put "Love" in my cards too hehe its jus wat i do!
i stil havent sent them yet :( doing it tomorrow!! they should still get there... my Carmine fan project only took a week to get to MrsG hehe cant wait to see all the different cards! :D
 
I sent out some of my domestic ones today. I still have about 9 or 10 left (doing others as well, taking me forever) and I have to go to the post office for the overseas ones, so won't get to it until probably Friday.

But, I am way excited to start getting them in the mail and I think I either scared the postal lady today when I was buying stamps or impressed her that I have various overseas ones to send! :lol: I asked her about how much extra it would cost and listed off the countries and her eyes just grew! :lol: I loved it! :D

:lol: How ironic is that? Why, that's my favourite word too :devil:. In fact, it was probably one of the first ones I've learnt & I still remember it to this day.
 
So I bought my cards, stamps, envolopes and a new pen yesterday, then I sat down to watch Criminal Minds and CSI:NY and fill in my cards. I'm half way done! YES. So, many of mine will say 'happy holidays, hun' and all of them have my signature (I don't know why but I like to sign things :D) and XO on the bottom. Hope you enjoy. I'm sending them on Friday.
