I bumped into a very, very old article online yesterday when CSI:M started it's first season. It was mentioned that Emily P. was the lead actress until Kim D. joined. The reason is that the CBS execs. were concerned about a lack of chemistry between Emily and DC.
Lack of chemistry? I think they have PLENTY! Just look at their interactions. The way they look at each other. There's a natural chemistry and yet those CBS execs. were so blind.
