Back to Burked - wasn't this the first time we saw Cath in a dress? Another thought I just had - when Gil goes to talk to Walt in jail, do you think he got more info from him? Like secrets about Sam, or maybe they did a little talking about Cath?

^ LOL I certainly hope they did. I think Walt might knew the side of Cath that Gil wasn't so familiar with. Oh sure Gil knew all about her, but there were some things that he'd never seen and could only imagine. Heh. He'd be so fascinated by the Cath he'd never known before. :D

Catherine, that was why I said a girl can dream. LOL.

What kind of confuses me about the whole Tony Braun death here is that if Cath knew the boys as well as I'd guess she should have, she really didn't show any emotion about it - even after we see her first talk to Sam and realize they are close.

By this time, we should have had some kind of mention by Gil asking Cath if she was ok. And here she is processing the house, where now in Season 7, they would bring up conflict of interest concerns.

exactly. even in itb he encourages her to be the one to talk to sam, to use her connection. it isn't until after gil finds out sam is her father that he has a problem with her working the case. it didn't matter that she had gone to casino openings as sam's date (personal conflict there)

So. I wonder what exactly his problem is. Aw is he jealous of Sam because of the tight connection between him and Catherine? LOL. Seriously, what changed Gil's mind? If he didn't mind the relationship between Cath and Sam in Inside the Box, why did he suddenly become so concerned/worried in No More Bets? Not to mention that Sam was a suspect/criminal in ITB while he was just someone connected to the crime in NMB. Ah I get it! Because he was proved to be the killer in ITB (although the evidence couldn't stand in the court)? *shakes head* How naive, Mr. Grissom.

LOL he just can't miss any chance to check her out.

About Sam/Gil/Cath: The reason? Probably they did that for more GC angst. And I love those pics, I never realized Vega is also interested in Gil's tush like Cath. :lol:

Ausiello: I know I have this exclusive, only-for-AA quote from exec producers Carol Mendelsohn and Naren Shankar: "After having dealt with a miniature-making serial killer, a murder in a church, a tragic case of two missing boys, and Kevin Federline, Gil Grissom will decide that he needs a short break from the lab... and maybe a break from Sara, too. He'll only be gone a few weeks, but his office won't remain vacant in his absence. Watch out fetal pig, your days might be numbered." As I previously reported, Gil's mini-vacation will air in January, and, per my CSI spy, will be prompted by some bleak parting words from that aforementioned "miniature-making" serial killer. Apparently, he'll affect Gil in a way most standard psychopaths don't. ..and why did K-Fed end up to be one of the reasons why Gil will be on a hiatus?!?! jk. :lol:

I'm thinking maybe he hadn't known about sam being cath's father in ITB, cath didn't get the chance to tell him in the locker room and I don't think she would have told him just before he went into surgery. Gil always had great confidence in cath's abilities and I guess that's why he let her handle the case in ITB. As for NMB he already knew about the kin relationship between cath and sam and if sam was proven to have something to do with the case he'd want the evidence to be more credible, he still believed in cath but he knew that the court may not recognise the evidence. I think it pained him to have to send cath home, the look he gave her when she was walking away was so sad. Just my two cents :)

It's not her first time anyway, though she has her own office but she'll have to help gil catch up on the paper work, his office is more spacious and I'm sure she'll have no problem making herself comfortable there :D I hope this sabbatical is going to help him out of his mid-life crisis, seriously, he needs to wake up now.

Hope never dies. I find the article relieving, actually.

About the Sam/Gil/Cath drama: I think Gil could stand Sam's presence, before knowing he was Catherine's father, bacause even if they were friends there wouldn't be a LOT of conflict.
But then he knows about Sam being cath's dad, so he becomes a bit concerned. After all, a dad is much more different that a tight friend. If your friend was charged with murder, you could fight but not do anything too crazy about it. But once is your dad's ass on the line, it becomes complicated.

Obviously, Gil couldn't imagine Catherine is not that attached to Sam and that she couldn't forgive him so fast(at that time). He just didn't realise Catherine wouldn't have accepted easily Sam being her father...
Maybe that's the only fault in their relationship. I think he doesn't know her for what concerns her relationship with Sam.

Hey, but that's the only one ;)
