Re: Gil <3 Cath #22: PureJoy - What Would He Do WO her

We just had Up In Smoke the other week - or rather, we had it a while ago and I finally got around to watching it.

I really liked Catherine in this episode and I felt her distress when she found Caroline in the chimney.

One thing I was surprised at though, was that she never spoke to Gil about what was happening. I truly thought, that scene where Sara went to talk to him, that it was going to be Catherine.

But I did love what the father did. That end scene between Catherine and the father was just out of this world.

I'm wondering if they hadn't contemplated a Cath/LH scene and then cut it out because their script/film editing kind of sucks at times.

PotTR was a frustrating ep for me. But then, most of S6 was either a frustration or a source of profound irritation.

We've been seeing all those roles that used to be Cath's being given over to Sara. Brace yourself for more of that. TMTB are putting Sara in Cath's role systematically.

Oh wow, angry aren't we?

Here's my advice...let's not be too worked up. Just think about the good times and enjoy the ol' good PureJoy? This thread is supposed to be full of love and joy. Let's not turn it into a place filled with hate, okay? I mean of course it's okay to vent a little...but apparently we're on a roll here and it just gets people more angry. We don't want that, do we? ;)

Gil and Cath are hot.

Not so sure about the Pure part... *snicker*

Definitely got the Joy though.

Ooh HotJoy? ROFL!

Re: Gil <3 Cath #22: PureJoy - What Would He Do WO her

^ That true. They ARE hot. :)

Hehe not sure about the Pure part? How about this:

Pure (adj.) + Joy (n.) = ecstacy?

:D

Hey! I don't mean to intrude, but I think that Sofia is the only woman who interacts with Grissom in that episode - when she walks in to tell him a report and then he rushes to the morgue to find the toe tags?

I could be mistaken.

Again, sorry for the intrusion.

Re: Gil <3 Cath #22: PureJoy - What Would He Do WO her

Gah, you're right.

I don't know why I got them mixed up, they're two completely different people.

Then again, GC dreams kept me awake last night...

Re: Gil <3 Cath #22: PureJoy - What Would He Do WO her

At least it was PureJoy dreams, and not some other nightmare!!

I don't remember much about Up in smoke. Isn't that next on our review list, BTW? (I'll have to scan through the transcript for that one)

I caught some of SpikeTV's CSI marathon today (they were airing the crappy season 6 today). When the first part of Daddy's little girl came on, I had absolutely no idea what the episode was. Normally when the episode starts, I see at least something right away that triggers my memory as to what the title is. For this one, it wasn't until Cath & Nick arrived in the parking garage for their case that I actually remembered the title.

Somehow, that made me feel like a bad CSI fan. Just goes to show how season 6 turned me into a casual watcher instead of a dedicated fan.

Then they followed it up with KKBB *sigh* CSI at its best.

Re: Gil <3 Cath #22: PureJoy - What Would He Do WO her

Hehe looks like you need to behave, Anne, because people are watching. :D

BTW we're having season 2 reruns over here and I just rewatched The Finger the other day. Ah the good old days. Oh I think we were still on episode discussion? Hmmm not sure there are enough PureJoy left to talk about except I Like to Watch and the small squee-ish scene from Spellbound. Shall we skip them and go directly to the PureJoy Hall of Fame? LMAO.

Re: Gil <3 Cath #22: PureJoy - What Would He Do WO her

*puts on her halo*

I don't know what you're talking about Erica ;)

Ah yes, the Finger. I love that ep.

Re: Gil <3 Cath #22: PureJoy - What Would He Do WO her

oh purejoy=ecstasy. i like that a lot.

meh, i think the rest of s6 is a wash

and for the record i do agree with anne and i think that it won't be effective.

now can we please move out of s6 and back to purejoy?

Re: Gil <3 Cath #22: PureJoy - What Would He Do WO her

Hmm.

They don't have those fun icons that I like to use on the other boards.

On the plus side, they do have a devil here :D

I think I know what you are talking about here, kay, and I'm sorry you feel that way. Truth is if the show is still as good as it used to be, a lot of people wouldn't be turning away now. It wasn't necessarily the last minute in Way to Go that caused this -let's face it, CSI's quality had been going downhill since what, season 4?-, but I think it sort of pulled the trigger. Sigh. Oh well, at least we still have Anne, and other talented writers and their fabulous PureJoy stories. ;)
