I'm guessing the reason she doesn't want an "official" investigation is that she doesn't want her name out in the public here, especially with her being tied to Sam - plus it would give others a chance to look into her background (blowing up the lab, the Sam/DNA issue, and her previous employment as a stripper). With an unofficial investigation, she can still find out who it was that raped her, but just won't be able to put him in jail. As for the LHB-type episode, I agree. This episode seems to include even 10 times more Cath!drama than that one was. Not that I'm complaining, because I know Marg will act the hell out of it, but can't we see Cath having some peace and enjoyment in her life one of these times? Give me a scene with Cath & Lindsey having a fun day together shopping at the mall.

kaylyne[/b]]That's a possibility. I still don't think the Cath we know would care, though. Unless she's trying to protect somebody - whom could only be Lindsey. But like I said earlier, with the current TPTB, you never know. And I absolutely agree that getting more personal doesn't have to mean getting the drama and the angst. Getting personal and character-driven could be fun, too. Having to put up with all the terrible stuff at work, the CSIs really don't deserve an even more miserable private life. But...*shrugs* JMO.

Have you voted yet? Looks like the buttprint is the current favorite. Hehe.

If at least we were sure to have some C/G moments, it could be interesting but hey, we won't have this chance ! and I want Cath to be happy ; she deserves it !

Can't believe that Cath would basically get the evidence from herself. I mean I can sort of understand why Cath does this, but still. Gil better be there for her or else I won't be happy. She has to talk to someone about this.

I dont think Cath should go through the suspected rape alone, Gil should be there. I think that it shows her strong side that she does her own rape kit, but i would have thought that she would want to get justice over whoever it was who did it. I dont think she would have done it because of her being afraid of being in the public, because in Weeping Willows, she said she had nothing to be ashamed of. But then TPTB arent good with continuity recently, IMO :). Yeah i think that TPTB should show some of Caths happier moments, but then i guess they wouldnt attract as many viewers :( I would definately watch though. I hope Cath talks to Gil too, i think he'll press her to find out what happened anyway :)

At least that's what we got from the spoilers. Sigh. Yes she has to talk to someone, but I'm not sure TPTB are going to let her. Even if they do, I don't think they'll have her talk to Gil. This sort of annoys me, really. I'm not even hoping to be nicely surprised this time because I'm so sure it's not going to happen.

But if she can't talk to her bestfriend, then with who ? it's ridiculous ! or maybe, he's not her bestfriend anymore . With TMTB, I'm just expecting the worst now :rolleyes:

Catherine[/b]]LOL. It amazes me how quickly you change your mind. No offense. That was actually kind of cute. ;) Be careful, though. People might tell you we never knew for sure that Cath and Gil were best friends since they never really said that on the show. They are probably right. If Gil doesn't consider someone who'd give him his PoA his close friend, someone who just occasionaly had breakfast with him, went to see him before he had his ear surgery, shared his personal stories (his parents and family) and even saved his life could mean nothing at all. Yes I'm being bitter. Maybe I'll come back later and laugh at myself. Thank you very much. :p

Well, I guess I'm with you on that one. It's going to be a bitter episode if Catherine's going to go through all of this alone. I mean...it'd be a nice challenge for Marg, but it does look like it might be LHB all over again. Man...I think it might be the last step from TMTB to TVTB. :D

I agree, sometimes I change my mind ! LOL maybe it depends of my mood , the spoilers or all the posts that I read here and there ! but I think that I'll stay optimistic, tough ! well, I'll try anyway cuz I can't still believe that TMTB be so stupid !

ok, i know cath is strong but her doing even part of her own kit is completely unbelieveable unless there is some sort of emotional dissassotiation when she wakes up and realizes what has happened. sure she's been through a lot (and i do mean a lot) of crap in her life but she's still a woman. this type of rape (or in this case appearance of rape since it's unknown if she was or wasn't) is the worst. because she has no memory of it there will always be that doubt about what happened. and it's going to affect her in so many ways (or at least it would if tmtb weren't running/writing the show now). you cannot have everything that is supposed to happen to her happen in a short period of time without some severe psychological repercussions, but then again see my previous note about tmtb. guess this is there way of killing cath love while satisfying marg fans...morons.

now about this supposed new thread, when are we getting there?

Can't help but agree with you there, coolc. You know how they do these Mission Impossible 1, MI2 and lately MI3? I'm getting this sense of WW2 ... and I don't mean world war 2 though given what they're going to put Cath through, it might as well be that :rolleyes: I'm talking Weeping Willows 2. Gil had this sententious air about him at the end of WW, about Cath going out for a drink for some human contact. Could it be that Cath doesn't want anyone to know about what might have happened to her because Gil had made her feel guilty about her need for some company after a stressful day?
S7 CSI is promising to turn into exactly the kind of show I never watch.

ita! i think she won't tell because gil humiliated her. my only satisfaction will come if she tears into him when tmtb decide she knows about him and... he complete deserves having his backside ripped off, perhaps even a slap in the face for being such a hypocrite. but it's that same old double standard, man can,woman does and she's a whore. rather be her than him though.

Something I felt bad about PotTR was there wasn't a Cath/Lady Heather scene. These two sharing a scene kicks ass! Remember that scene from Slaves of Las Vegas in which they were talking about surviving in a world ruled by men? That conversation was awesome. As Anne's mom said, they did meet in an intellectual level. I was hoping for a Cath/LH scene while watching PotTR, but alas. It was understandable, though. It was more of a Gil/LH episode after all.

It really peeved me off in that episode that we got no LH/Cath scenes. I felt that they had so much in common, they meet on an intellectual level and Catherine already knew about Zoe - I felt kind of cheated that by the end of the episode that there wasn't even a reference to LH and Cath together.

exactly. they did give us cath moments that showed they connected but they didn't give us a cath/lady h scene. how could they with what they had planned? there again is an instance when the wrong choice badly affected an episode.
