LOL thanks to Hottie for reminding us of the 50 reasons. Now, here are the reasons we've had so far. Feel free to add your own.
Gil and Cath are not boring because...
1. They go to the movies together.
2. Gil is willing to walk Cath to the morgue.
3. cath is willing to soothe his wounds.
4. Their playful banter "Scared of you!"
5. He tells her secrets he's never told anyone before .
6. They fight like an old married couple.
7. they always make up after a fight.
8. because he tries to protect her from sam.
9. He lets her hug him!
10. Because they saved each other's life.
11. cath always indulges him.
12. Because "what would he do without her".
13. They do marathon trainings together.
14. They make time breakfast dates with each other.
15. Cath looks out for new species of bugs just so Gil can get all excited - and keeps them alive for him.
16. She inspires the poet in him (Grasshopper & Master).
17. They get territorial around each other.
18. She (and Lindsey) brings out the parent *coughs* Daddy in him.
19. They look cute even when they're under the sewers wearing those loose jackets.
20. They draw straws.
21. They're not boring because they have their own song.
22. they aren't boring because they have at least five songs.
23. They love evaluating each other's ... I mean each other.
24. Because Gil knows what she wants before she knows it.

The truth is, Grissom's hiatus is dictated by real-life circumstances. In the fall, Peterson will head to Providence to star in the Trinity Repertory Company's stage production of Conor McPherson's "A Dublin Carol." (Peterson mentored Curt Columbus, Trinity Rep's artistic director, during his theater days.) "He will be gone for a few episodes," Mendelsohn says. "We're writing it into the show." ... Producers will try to minimize the impact by casting a big-name guest star to fill in for the Grissom-free episodes airing in January.
