Hmmm....would that be the "are you single" question, followed closely by the "are you gay?" question? :D

Sheesh...the media just thinks we deserve to know EVERYTHING about celebs!

You get a cookie for a correct guess.

Cool I won!

That's a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" type question. Cuz even if you are not, people then follow it with "oh, so do you have a problem with gay people?" depending on how you respond with your body language!

There are some celebs are do not like, and chuckle when they screw up, but people like GE...I just cringe during some of the interviews because you have to be SOOOO careful what you say and how you say it (huh...not unlike in my profession!). It's exausting having to be on your guard like that.

I can see the not liking the Red Carpet thing (I do not blame him). I remember when I was first starting to like CSI, I looked up each actor on the internet (way back at the end of season 4) and the first thing I read about George Eads was an account of someone who met him while waiting in the wings before the interview when he had the long hair for Evel Knievel (I think it was "Good Morning America" or something like that) The person said that he was "Quiet" "Soft-spoken" and "kind of shy" They also said that he was "respectful" and "sweet." I have to admit that with that being the first thing I read about him I kind of hold that as my first impression of him, and we all know what they say about first impressions.

I have read several other accounts of people confirming that same thing.
I also have read that he tends to be the "clown" of the cast too.

I have also noticed that in an interview that is specifically about CSI, when he knows what the questions are going to be about, he seams much more relaxed. If the interview is about anything, he tends to "fidget" and "squirm" he looks really nervous and yes, he tends to laugh a lot (some people have called it "giggling"). {One of my many hobbies is people watching, I’m not some over obsessed fan really…really I’m not…I’m not, I’m not I’m not… but seriously now.} Maybe now we know why there are far fewer minutes of interviews of George Eads on the DVD sets compared to other cast members and when interviewers come to the set they seam to be more likely to interview someone else other than him. I have wondered before if it was the case that the interviewers don't like GE or that GE does not want to be interviewed. With this account, I am leaning toward he would rather not be interviewed.

Well I got long winded on that one didn't I. I just popped in to get a "Pick-me-up" after this weekend. It was so bad at work that I have had nightmares come out better than my night. I can definitely tell that the moon was full. McStokes and SparkyGirl can probably attest that the difference in workload every month too. I hope some of this makes sense, with my last two nights I am surprised that I am still in a somewhat vertical position.
My weekend is over and after I take a side trip to the picture thread to gaze on what I might find there, I am calling it a night (well actually a day but I work nights so my days and nights are mixed up)

:) hy, yes so often in most inteviews you can see, that George is a bit shy, and he don´t like the crowd. I remember i´ve read this in an older interview. And i can understand his reaction the most frequently asked question: are you single, are you a gay. Oh men poor George really. Think it nerv and annoy him.

And Paris Hilton.... oh men sorry i´ve only one Word Run for it... before it's too late

Hmmm....Amy777....vertical is usually the best way to go! But sometimes after working 12hrs...being up for 16hrs and wrapping my brain around the trials, and crazy stuff of my other life (the job), I sometimes despise the vertical. I might physcially be vertical but the brain is somewhat horizontal to sub-terrain! Oh...the full moon thing is right on target! I'm telling you...it gets freaky how everything goes on! I've been tempted to borrow some handcuffs from McStokes and implement them at work! More so for me and not the residents! :D

I think the red carpet would have me a bit uneasy with all of the yelling and shouting. I can't say I blame George. I'm not a celebrity but all of that yelling would make me find the back way! Every one has particulars that bug and make them uneasy. If you are a celeb you are deemed difficult. Somehow that is not the case with George. He is a private person and being asked about if he was gay would be a bit over the top! I would've had a yard full of cows if George turned the 'are you gay' question back at that dude who was interviewing him. But...I sense a deep respect for people and their personalities from George. He doesn't strike me as a thoughtless, non-feeling person. He was raised right and has learned, I'm sure, to be diplomatic.

How right Amy777 is when George is being interviewed. When he is in his own element, talking about CSI and knowing the lay of the land so to speak, he is...wow! I mean you see it in his eyes, his expressions and his voice. He's relaxed. Tread outside of that and toss a softball at him, and you see the uneasiness that takes over. It it almost like he is saying something without being direct or to the point of saying, 'this is private/personal and not a topic I choose to discuss'. He is funny when he gets to laughing!

I'm sure we all can attest to being diplomatic when we really want to say what is on our minds! And haven't we all did that giggle thing when something we didn't want to talk about with others? I usually giggle and reply "I'm so not going there' and head off to greener pastures. In my case usually to collect something in the pasture!

And for Stoky's thought on Season 8...

Some good Nick stories that challenge Nick like never before
Some sort of a closure re: Grave Danger
Continuation of Arm porn
Continuation of the jeans porn
Continuation of smile porn
Shirtlessness...only if George feels like throwing a wrench into the works! :D Please!? :D
Some Nick and Grissom interaction. Stuff still needs to be delt with on that one!

Dang! It is awful windy here in the ward! Was my night at work stressing? Yep! Sometimes you just gotta let it out!

Wow myfuturecsi you really started a good conversation with that article. Thanks for posting it :)

Anytime I've seen George on talk shows I have noticed that most of the conversations stays clear of any personal issues. On the red carpet you can't predict what stupid questions they are going to ask. So I guess to avoid answering the stupid questions the easiest thing to do is to avoid them and that means avoiding the red carpets. I hope this makes sense as it is past my bedtime and I'm not thinking properly :). So good night people and pleasant Nick dreams

Oh Jacquie, that reminds me. I had a dream about Nick, working on my parent's ranch rounding up the pigs and chickens with no shirt on

*waves* Hello everyone! I have been in this forum for a while, but never posted in here before, so time to do it, now!

I must say, first of all, that I am as Angst Whore, therefore the episode that caught my atention on Nick the most and at first was "Grave Danger". Obvious reasons. George played everything so well, that I can't even explain what I feel when I read it. When I first watched the episode, I was spoiler free, therefore I had no idea he was going to continue on the show, and I was so nervous because I was afraid he was going to die :( I couldn't stop moving in my couch, screaming at the screen. OMG, crazy night :p

But now, I am not sure if it's still my favourite episode of him. "Gum Drops" is a really beautiful episode, I would never forget the way Nick feels all over the episode. The way he looks at the girl in the hospital, and he cries. How sweet  Just beautiful!

I also saw "Stalker" for the first time yesterday and I loved it, too. (can you now understand why I said I am an angst whore?). He was inside the house and I was like "Hey, Nick, look at the guy!"(like if he could hear me :p). And when he fell trough the window it was like "NOOOOO". All that crazy stuff about that Nigel Crane. It was like  "Leave Nicky alone, ok?".

Yay for Nick, that got over this horrible incidents ;)

Oh the lovely thought of Nick all sweaty with no shirt on  Will go and climb into a cold shower now :D

Welcome CSI_Dani :)

Well, it seems one of GE's pet peeve's is people gettin' all hung up on his looks, so I can imagine just how annoying it is to be on the red carpet when you get women like Star Jones or Joan Rivers making comments like "my you are handsome" and "you're hot" "you are so sexy" when all you want is for people to acknowledge your work as an actor. Then when he tries for a deeper conversation, I bet people blow him off as an airheaded pretty boy, just cuz he's good looking! Or worse, they ask "what's it like to work with so-and-so..."

I can sort of relate as I am one of only a handful of women officers, and I have to fight hard to get respect from people. There are functions and training classes I have been to when all they focus on is my height...I'm 5'10" tall and it seems like people always have to make comments like "my you're tall" (thank you Captain Obvious), or the red hair ("bet you have a temper!" Duh.) Yeah...bet I could kick YOUR ass there skippy!!

You wouldn't believe the questions I get asked...and how personal they can get. So...I guess I need to steal GE away so we can escape the crazies!

I'm hoping most people have accepted that GE is no airhead pretty boy. It would seem to me that GE has come to accept his pretty boy looks and that may be why we are seeing more two button undone shirts this year and even more of his lovely accent :). I remember watching the commentary from Burked and Anthony Zuiker saying that originally they hired GE partly because of his looks and that his acting abilities where impressing tptb :)

McStokes I think on Georgeland we will protect GE and each other from stupid question. That's the beauty of an island full of wardgirls and only GE :)

good morning ward

havent been in for a little while...i was having GE withdrawls syndrome...

ha ha...doesnt like read carpets...i have a friend who has a phobia of blue jello...now that is bad..
