Former X-Philes, Unite!

Really? That's awsome! That's what I want to do too which is why I'm planning on buying all the season DVDs. Plus I just adore the show! :D

pilgrim, you're thinking of The Lone Gunmen! What would you like to know? They were paranoid quasi-insane aides in the quest against the evil government! They published a magazine called "The Lone Gunmen". The one with the long blonde hair was Langly, the short piggy one was Frohike, and the clean-cut suit wearing one was Byers. They had a short-lived spinoff that I never saw.

Fun trivia:

Tom Braidwood (Frohike) was also an executive director for the show.

Dean Haglund (Langly), is actively involved in theatre sports around Vancouver here.

Bruce Hardwood (Byers), used to be head librarian at the Vancouver Public Library. Right into the late 90s you could find him working at the library. I'm not sure if he's still there, but I've met him several times :D

The Lone Gunmen! I love their interactions with Mulder. :)

Frohike had a mad crush on Scully. He was the first person to bring her flowers after she returned from her abduction. (Awww. :D)

All three Lone Gunmen died in episode 9x15 "Jump The Shark".

***

I stumbled across this funny exchange between Mr. and Mrs Spooky (from 2x11 "Excelsius Dei"):

Mulder: Whatever tape you found in that VCR, it isn't mine.
Scully: Good, because I put it back in that drawer with all those other videos that aren't yours.

 He had a bit of a porn habit it seems. ;)

Mulder + porn = hilarity

I remember a scene in Chinga where Mulder was watching TV and you can hear the rather suspicious-sounding audio coming from it. Turns out to be a film called "Alien Probe" Bwahaha!

The Lone Gunmen DIED?! Boy am I glad I gave up after a few eps of season 8 (snuck back for the series finale, though ;))

I love oldschool Mulder/Scully.... I still love that freakin' Christmas episode with the ghosts! And how they unintentionally realized how in love they were... awwww! (Major shipper... can ya tell?)

Yeah, they blew up for no real good reason. It was stupid. *grr*

You dweeb, that episode wasn't so much oldschool was it? Wasn't that like, 6th season? lol. I love that episode too though. It was SO weird.

This is fantastic! Thanks so much - and everyone else for all the additional information.

I believe they gave the show much additional depth (though it already had leagues of it) and this information makes it even more interesting - and the "fun trivia" was wonderful...a head librarian!...in the vicinity!

Saw one yesterday where Byers had a love interest. He talked about the Kennedy assassination in the narration at the beginning. The commission proposed the lone gunman theory versus conspiracy. Interesting ties because the episode was about assassination.

I like the narration they sometimes put at the beginning or the end where they get philosophical. Mulder sometimes did it as an explanation.

I've gone through more of this thread and will be looking for the appearance of the "little red-headed girl with the Scullybob (very funny)" in Synchony if it reruns.

Oooh, yeah, Suzanne! His giiirlfriend. That's the happy one where Scully gets drugged and babbles to a crowd of adoring men. I love that one.

Yay! pilgrim, you're making me feel famous. :D

You are famous ziggy! :D So, have you ever snuck onto the set to pull out a strand of DD's hair? ;)

More evidence of Mulder's, umm, hobby. ;)

Small Potatoes - Eddie (as the faux Mulder) finds an answering machine message to Mulder from a phone-sex company.

Blood - Mulder tells the Lone Gunmen that he must have overlooked their August issue because it arrived on the same day as his issue of "Celebrity Skin".

The End - The mind-reading kid informs Mulder that he's "Got a dirty mind".

Jersey Devil - Scully catches Mulder looking at a model in a 'girlie' magazine, which he attempts to cover up by saying she was an abductee.

So naughty.

I haven't watched that show in ages. They have reruns on Sci-Fi channel and on FX in the USA, but I still haven't watched -- I've been writing so much lately that I don't have that much time for TV. :(

I definitely have to buy the seasons on DVD, though.
I watched the movie a few days ago.
