Forensic Science Trivia Game!

I've got absolutely no idea. Maybe Paracelsus? Dosis sola facit venenum?

I could either go and google around a bit or wait til somebody else gives the answer.
Well, I'm quite tired .. Mh.

Just out of interest.. this Spanish guy lived before Paracelsus, did he?

The Father of Modern Toxiocology is Bonaventure Orfila. He came much later than Paracelsus though (Orfila lived from 1787-1853, Paracelsus lived from 1493-1541)

CrimeShowJunkie you got the correct date and second name. But the name is different in the book I got the question from. It was Matthieu Orfila. Your turn.

Who is the founder of modern pathology, and name the book he wrote that became the basis for all microscopic studies of disease.

Tyronia, your answer is definately wrong. There's asked for a person. Besides, when you answer, you have to wait till you get a go before you post a new question :D

Anyone have any guesses to
Who is the founder of modern pathology, and name the book he wrote that became the basis for all microscopic studies of disease.
Would it be easier if you only had to name one or the other?

Who is the founder of modern pathology, and name the book he wrote that became the basis for all microscopic studies of disease.

1. Rudolf Ludwig Karl Virchow (1821-1902)?

2. Handbuch der speziellen Pathologie und Therapie -"Handbook of Special Pathology and Therapeutics"(6 volumes) OR Die Cellularpathologie (1858)?

Yes, that's correct TallyHo. The book that I was referring to was titled "Cell Pathology, and it was published in 1859 (that's probably the english translation of Die Cellularpathologie)
Your turn :)
