"Fannysmackin" Discussion **SPOILERS**

Yeah, that was amazing. I was already expecting a lot from Eric.. but he actually blew me away. And like I said.. I didn't think he could out do my expectations because I didn't think that there was any higher.. but he never ceases to amaze.

I have to admit though, I thought I was going to be ok with how they made him look.. like I would be able to handle it.. but NOPE! Wow.. that hurt to just look at him. I really wish I could see Eric's reaction when they had the make up on.. and then everyone elses.. wow..

definitely my favorite this season.. and out of most episodes my favorite..

LOVED IT!

I didn't get the implication that GE may leave... but I think they through it in there to play with peoples minds. Like Wojo said, I wouldn'worry.

Gah.. i cant wait to see what they do in the next episode. I have to say, I do want him to look better in the next one.. it was way too hard to look at him like that. But of course, we need some scars and stuff for continuation.. we unfortuneatly cannot have him come back unharmed..

Oh, and mgiht I add that at the end his one eye looked pretty damn hot!! :)
 
Aww I can't to see how Greg will look when he comes back to work... I think some battle scars would be hot... :D I thought it was so cute when Greg had that band-aid on his face in Inside the Box... :)

at least in canada depending on the severity of the crime they can attempt to have the accused tried as adults. but we never see the end outcome of the case.
 
WOW-Outstanding-amazing- :eek: before I post my comments,I wanted to tell you all, that this story/episode, was in fact based of actual events that happen here in Las Vegas, their are "swarms" of gang-bangers doing this, about 2 months ago, they attacked a woman in a Wal-Mart parking lot, she was hurt, but two security guardes chased them, then they attack a man walking his dog in a park, and he was seriously hurt, then they, (the same night) attack a man walking in a Casino parking lot, headed towards his car, and this one was on video tape, the police enhanced the photos, and caught them- 13 of them, their now awaiting trial!!! and when asked "why" they said, they were bored, and thought it "would be fun" they were all teenagers, and some parents were in DENIAL , and said "not my boy" yada-yada-yada-- right!!! anyway, this was taken from actual events here-frightning......... and tourists are vulenerable, and I don't stay out after dark anymore too scared..... now the eppy FANTASTIC, RIVETING,OUTSTANDING :eek: the best one YET , well, equal with "BTK" 2, Eric was amazing, from him in his cute suit, to the horrific beating, I've always thought he was great, he's sweet, funny, quirky, darling, delightful and now we see what incredible acting he can pull off!!!!! Nick and Warrick, their so cool, always watching out for one another, and Sara, comforting her little friend, so adorable ;)and his "scent" comment ;)Greg & and Grissom, in the hospital, they've always had a great rapore, so cute when he goes "Grissom" and Grissom, in his infinite wisdom, said all the right things/, he can be so compassionate and sympathetic, and his expressions, :p and to find out their both only children!! and good job on Eric's make-up- wow- he really looked like he'd been beat up and and Brass, and Cath, and Doc all fabulous as usual---- on K-Fed, :rolleyes: well he's as sleazy on TV as he is in real life, but that's Britney's problem, nothing to discuss on him :( A+++++ ON THIS EPPY ;)

wow. that was one great ep!!!!
everything i say feels like an understatement because it was so good.
grissom was so touching...his talk with greg especially. i almost cried then. it seemed like grissom understood greg...and grissom doesnt really understand people and was never all that nice to greg. about time.

poor greggo. hes strong. and he did the right thing. the look on his face at the end when he saw that he killed the guy showed...dont know how to describe it...the look was stright into him...lacking the words.

sara was so nice with him.

GO NICKY!!! his anger was right. and the way that warrick handled him was good...im lacking words here too. another touching scene. very much so. i could see their friendship through this also.

and the humor really helped. brass and sofia "he/shes a cop" and the fake victim's friend...and "the pig and the piglets are in the pigpen" "ill pass on mexican food at 10:30 in the morning" and a few more that havent hit me yet.

i love hoe brasss handled that girl. the wiggle was funny. he has this way of being tough, but it is obvious what a big heart he has, even when he is with a suspect. someone with a deep heart, even when they do something that from someones point of view is "evil" (that girl probably hates him" it is obvoius who they really are...more lacking words.

where did sofia get that gun?

demetrius's contacts were scary...reminds me of a movie i saw once. i think it was called brood...the way he flew at greg like that...

again i say it, poor greg.
hes a fighter.
and his mom doesnt know that hes in the field...i understand that very well.

and well...you guys all know what im gonna say now, no? but im saying it anyway: HODGES!!!
he got screentime...and griss was...nice to him. i was in shock...and his expressions were priceless, as usual.
those 2, when they work together the right way, they are a great team. gris was actually patient with him, and hodges was hodges-y, but in a quiet caring sort of way...im amazed.

oh, and i didnt mention, at the end, the way nick said that he wants to see greg...the way heis voice sounded and how he looked, worried, close...they are a good team, because they are close.

im sure ill think of more later...
 
i havent seen all of the episode unfortunatly, because i like in the UK, but from the clips i've seen it looks amazing!

did anyone else think it was so cute when Greg said 'my mum is gonna freak' i love the way the writers put this in. it shows that Greg is still a child in his mums eyes, and that he's also the baby of the CSIs. it also shows that the beating has in some respects made him childlike
 
I give this episode an A+++++ too! It definatly is the best episode ever!! Also the hardest one to watch ever!! I was in school today and I thought of him. I wanted to cry all over again. :rolleyes: Thats how good and dramatic it was!! The Sandle scene made me cry again in the episode. "I know that Sidle Scent" *sighs*
 
I saw that too. Also the way he started crying. It made you just want to hug him. It was so sad! I was shaking the entire time I was watching it. I felt so bad when he was laying on the pavement all alone then when Sarah showed up I was like "Finally". He must have been so scared just laying there all by himself.
 
I know same here, I was happy when Sarah showed up. It's always so cute how he picks at her. She looked angry and concerned when she arrived and said "Why isn't there a paramedic at Greg?" I don't think Sophia made her feel any better though.
 
Yeah, it bothered me too.. Didn't seem right but its ok though.

Yeah, I loved some of the little things that the writers threw in there and that Eric portrayed so beautifully! He seemed pretty young when Grissom came to see him, and I loved that. I mean, he is pretty yound, of course he is an adult, but you know.. its all pretty new to him, and he's apparently been protected heavily all his life so this would be that much harder on him. So, there were are couple things during his talk with Grissom. One of them that I liked was when he first saw Gris.. it was the way he said "Gris" that was adorable.

I really want someone to have an interview with him and let him talk about it!!! GAH!!

But i really id love it and i am so happy they finally gave him something. he did it soooo well.

I was talking to my friend about how well Eric did today and he was like "Yeah, its usually the people on the shows that do the best acting"

He has a point... :)

Anyways, if anyone hears about Eric being interviewed or being on a talk show,.. PLEASE POST SOMEWHERE
 
I love it when he gets to go on the cases with them, I believe it started in season 4 when he started going to different cases and out of the lab, I think, but it makes it more interesting. He also adds light to the situation even in this episode. It's like he brightens the room when he walks in!
 
Wow, I'm far behind on the posts, but I kind of thought there would be a lot for this episode and it's totally deserved, Eric shined, that scene when he's on the ground all by himself until Sara shows up, that killed me almost as much as when he got beaten, and then that scene with Grissom, it was the first time his parents were brought up and it really gave a look at his background, how he really wants to belong to that team because he was kind of isolated or hovered over as a kid.

I swear Eric is just so good in that role, he totally makes Greg just so adorable and at the same time, you just want to protect him.

sherlockanne-I apologize for replying to your wonderful reply this late-but yes, it was great seeing their individual reactions, and Grissom, watch it when he's at the foot of the bed before the close up on him, you can see that intake of breath and almost a sigh..he doesn't want to see any of his team hurt, but especially Greg, Greg really is like the kid just trying to catch up or tries so hard to belong, yes, he does dance to his own drummer, he's funny, he's smart, he's different..he's the person that makes you laugh but at the same time you know there is something going on there, like he's always thinking or he just has a lot more feelings that he may cover up with a great wit, there is something under the surface that you want to protect, you want to make sure stays the same, you don't want him to become jaded or get hurt.

He covered them well in the hospital with the other victim, all professional and he acted like he was okay, but you know the real Greg came out when he saw the guy die.

In Fannysmackin' at around 12:34 they show the Crime Solve Score Board (which I haven't seen really since "Pilot")... and the names go Warrick, Nick, Sara, Catherine, Joe... No Greg or Grissom... but who the heck is Joe? And if he's a daytime CSI... where are the rest of the day-shift CSIs?

Also, freeze frame fun, Warrick has 7 cases in progress with 3 solved, Nick has 8 cases pending and 2 solved, Sara has 0 pending with 1 solved, Cath has 4 pending with 1 solved, and Joe has 4 pending with one solved.

Also, cases solved by CSI:
Warrick: 2 Assaults and a Battery
Nick: Rape and Assault
Sara: Robbery
Cath: (hard to make out) Stalking?
Joe: Missing Person
 
MMMMMMMMMM- I don't recall seeing anything like this, and I was watching pretty close!!! guess I'll have to watch it again, don't remember this at all, does anyone else? :(
