Eva/Natalia #3: More of the Beautiful Compassionate Bionic Woman!

^^Me too! It's been 3 episodes, they need to throw out another morsel.

It just occured to me that Natalia is now truly seeing Nick for the jerk he was, so maybe all this will give her the full closure she needs. She still loved him (the 'old' him) when he died, she was sad -- she now appears to be more angry/fed up, from what I'm getting. Is it safe for us to assume that she's finally over him? I hope so.

 

Micha and mjszud I'm with both of you and like/agree with what you both had to said!!

mjszud what you said about Natalia truly seeing nick, that's a good point! She is like finally able to overcome the love she had for him, and make some kind of 'peace' /acceptance with who he was, what he did with/to her... and like you said maybe she will gain some closure. (and so will we!)

Michya.. talking about over analyzing (going on in other threads) have you seen the L.A. spoiler thread lately and what's going on with Jesse/Eddie? :lol: :guffaw: ... poor guy... I can see the points being made to an extent, but at the end of the day I feel for the guy.

That's exactly what I feel has been missing since his death. She was too torn between GoodNick & BadNick, & I hate to say it but I could cream Horatio for telling her to hold onto the good moments 'cause it really seems that's exactly what she did, for too long.... she went into this little happy place of denial & just stayed there to mourn the a$$hole.
I hope by season's end we see her take any of his belongings she's still holding onto & just set fire to it! Dancing on his grave would probably be too much to ask for. :lol:

 

^^Yes gals! She seemed fed up at Nick and probably herself too for not letting him go. Nick is Nick, both bad and good, not just good. Haha, Horatio sure did play a part in this! :lol:

 

This is what I wrote in the thread for 'Getting Axed'..it's not really a spoiler, but thought I'd wrap it up as one, just in case... also I know we're not supposed to cross post, but I wanted to get input/feedback/etc from others who are big natalia/eva fans as well...

Spoiler: Thoughts on tonight's episode

Is Eva La Rue working on some secret project we don't know about??... She's on full contract, yet gets half (if even) that amount of air time as 'guest star' Adam Rodrigez (not that I am complaining about getting to see him). -- Just that I would like an explanation for why she hasn't been seen much of.... Maybe Natalia is secretly dating Travers .. I hope that her underuse this season, is to make room for her having big storylines in the weeks to come, or next season...

 

To be honest, I already had a bad feeling she won't be in this episode. This season she has gone MIA every 4th episode, since last week was a special one, she was included, thus this week she isn't. Eva may be on full contract but I am convinced before that she is only slated to appear in a limited number of episodes based on that contract. Seriously I am ticked off. I don't know whether this is to accomodate the newer actors or budget reasons - both ridiculous to me. Eva is a great actor and for tptb to think that she is not important or whatever BS is an insult. I don't know how much longer I can withstand this, story or no story for her. If this keeps going, it will only be worse for her next season. I wonder if there is something we can do about this or tell tptb about it.

You can count on 8.20 or 8.21 that she won't be in it either.

ETA: The writer for this episode is the same writer who has left out Natalia in an earlier episode 8.08. Coincidence? :shifty:

I agree totally on this being some 'every 4 episode' pattern. Zombie's of course was a special one. Agree also on that we should be prepared to see her taking a full hour lunch sometime around 8.20 or 8.21

I'm the type of person that accepts where these characters are & I don't ever feel a need to want anything more than what's expected -- like Valera who is absolutely adorable - no, I'd never beg or bitch to see more of her because her role has been limited from the get-go....it shouldn't be expected from anyone.
I do expect it with Natalia/Eva though, as she IS a main character, a CSI, and previously had better screentime/storylines. It's not wrong for us to EXPECT to see her in every episode & with more development.

With season 7 her screentime deflated terribly -- just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, this season she's MIA every 4th episode...what's next for season 9? Recurring? This is bulls**t.

Other than that I honestly don't know how much more we can do -- this issue has been heavy for over a year now, & it isn't even Eva/Natalia's "fanclub" like us who are complaining ...fans in general are wondering what the deal is & also wanting to see more of her.

Doubt it. It seems to me that they have this all worked out for when she's taking an 'off' episode, because if you've noticed there's never a mention of DNA in the episodes that she's "missing". They're writing around it.

If they stick to 'patten' does this mean she won't be in the damn finale either? If she isn't then Natalia better REALLY be MISSING! :scream:

 

Amen! I'm getting so aggravated! I love the show but without her, it's just not CSI:Miami. And agree that Delko is getting more screen time then her and he's a guest right now! What's seriously gonna happen when he comes back full time?! I'll be pissed if she doesn't get any screen time when he comes back because he was part of the team before she was. But I'm just waiting for next season to see how all this plays out because I think they are gonna have wayyyyy to many people on this team. :scream: At least hopefully with the next episode we'll hopefully have her!

 

Exactly and it is not ok. Even when she is on she has only one or two scenes that last for barely seconds. Tptb are just jerking us fans and want us to stop watching the show, is that it? I don't think I can wait for next season to see what happens - not to mention adding in something I dislike to see.

Either they give her one scene (like in S7) or she will go MIA in 8.23 and this leaves us with 8.22 with a possible follow up on her storyline or will it be dump now? Yeah, I see her REALLY going missing and maybe no one cares until they find her body.

I don't know, on one hand I don't see how this could be wrapped up in one episode when we don't even really know what's going on with her -- there's too much still missing, imo. On the other, TPTB could just do nothing but tie/connect her past abuse into something random & then it won't even really be about her at all; subject down the drain once again.

 

^^I don't want it to end in one episode, I want it to slowly unfold. I had really hope that her abuse issue would at least be resolved this season and her hearing to stay for further developments. It is def not looking good at all and I can't see now that there will be a case about her.

I hope Eva gets a better contract next season and in the future, she deserves much much better. I don't want her to suffer the same fate for the rest of the show.

 

I thought that she was supposed to be a CSI with a specialty in DNA (at least since season 5!!),... so why is she not out doing CSI work?... Calleigh is a CSI with a specialty in Ballistics... I don't recall any ballistics in 'Getting Axed' yet she was all over that crime scene (not that I'm compaining.. just making a point)...

I still don't see any reason why Natalia is never shown, and that everyone else including the lab techies, are getting more screen time

TPTB need to clarify this for us! Is she not full-term? Is this something Eva agreeingly partook in to be with family or something?... Give us something!

 

That's what stinks 'cause I think they usually sign for at least 2 years, & since this started in S8 (absent from entire episodes) then she might go S9 the same as well.

We're getting so jipped! :scream:

 

Is it real that its 2 years? A longer contract suppose to be a good thing but in her case it is not.

I know a show where their leads tend to have longer contracts and the rest are renewed yearly. Well, I have a feeling that for Miami, theirs are renewed yearly afterall the show isn't confirmed for renewal or have a confirmed number of season(s) left. All these are just my assumptions.

Btw, Natalia does go out to the scene but it doesn't help when her screen time is so limited and that she is perhaps the only one left who still specialises in her field - DNA. Horatio is rarely seen in the lab though. :lol:

 

It's possible they only go year to year, I honestly don't know. I just remember reading some actors (from Miami) speak of signing for 2 years. That's been awhile back though, so you could be right.

I just want her to stick around, FULL TIME, so she can be fleshed out properly before the series ends. I feel like TPTB have had her "on hold" for the last 3 seasons; I'll be highly disappointed if this is all we get for development.
