I have to agree on the kudos to Adam and Emily. They so feed off of each other that it's a wonderful thing to see. I know that the actors are friends, since there are numerous interiews where they not only say so when together, but when they are interviewed separately. Andwhen they are interviewed together.....has anyone noticed that they just HAVE to have physical contact? I know Emily has often described herself as aggressively friendly/affectionate. I can surmise that she was raised in a family that showedlove for each other openly with hugging and kissing. And Adam comes from a Hispanic background and having friends with the same ethnic background, I know that affection toward anyone you like is shown most in hugs and kisses. It's sweet, really. I have a friend who's Cuban and we hug and kiss each other on the cheek when we see each other. Considering that we're colleagues, that's every day. I have another co-worker/friend who is Puerto Rican and it's the same with her. Adam is Puerto Rican and Cuban.Again, from evidence in front of me, I can surmise that he's very physically affectionate with friends and family. Now, you get him and Emily together and they can't help but transmit affection through physical contact, even on the most innocent and platonic level. This makes for a very interesting foundation. You have the actors' friendship and natural inclination to physical touch and then you have the characters' blossoming romance. This is gonna be cool to watch.

Well I won't try to find out when I last posted here, but I guess it was some time ago :guffaw:No I haven't forgotten about EC, I'm still a Hip Hugger, I still write some EC stories (even though I probably need some kicking for better results ;)). Today I thought I would give my 5 cts on the matter. So I wanted to say hello to those I know and to all the others :)

I'm usually hard on Calleigh because she isn't always the best to address personal issues, but after last episode it was Eric I wanted to properly shake. He has been getting increasingly frustrating. Jeez man you have to act from time to time. Wishful thinking will take you nowhere!!!

I know the last two years have been incredibly difficult for him. He had to overcome many problems and readjusting to his life and career has not been a piece of cake (no pun intended ). But the time has come to start living again and take a leap of faith. He gives me the feeling that he is happy or maybe comfortable with his little fantasy about Calleigh. Confronting her about his feelings could be very hurtful if she is not interested.
She actually surprised me on Monday when she told him bluntly she didn't know where they stood. I think she came to a point where she needs to know what is on his mind. If I were in her shoes I would also wonder if it's puppy love born from their friendship and gratitude or if the feelings are a lot deeper.
Her frustration is very understandable. She read his file about wanting a future with her and he basically did nothing about it since. How many times has she told him he could come to her to talk about anything? I doubt he ever did it... So there she stands... not knowing if he'll ever make a move or not, if he means it or if it's just a fancy. Hey what gal can live with that?
I loved when she rolled her eyes and left. But what I liked even more is how she was standing there in front of the elevator waiting for him. It was like she was reading to confront him. When he took the file, it looked like her courage was suddenly abandoning her. She very obviously didn't want to leave, so she smiled but at that point she hadn't seemed ready to say something. It's only when he talked about their early discussion that suddenly everything came out... Much to his surprise and probably even to hers. I mean they were in the hallway, there were some people around... the setting was far from ideal for a personal discussion. How would she have reacted if he had answered her? So a roll of eyes (yeah I think she did it but I could be wrong) and prompt leaving were just perfect and so very Calleigh ;)
It got him thinking and she certainly felt better after saying it. But now there he stands. He knows he needs to talk or he can kiss any possible future between them goodbye.
I have been thinking a lot (as usual :guffaw:) about his inability to talk about his feelings. Calleigh has a unique position in his life, she is his rock in the turmoil he has been in for two years now. I don't think he is ready to face a rejection. He is still on the mend, reconstructing himself and finally finding out what he wants in life. But life goes on and he can't expect her to wait until he is completely ready. He needs to put a little trust in her.
Now at least he should feel a little better. I mean when a girl tells you to speak up it's usually not because she is not interested ;)

His 'I know' was interesting too... Like others I watched that scene several times and thought a lot about every second of it. I didn't sense any frustration or sarcasm in that comment to himself. I liked the few seconds he took to even say it to himself. He knows that he needs to express his feelings. He probably imagined a hundred times how he would go about, what words he would use, how she would react to it... There are times when you are confronted to crucial moments like these. The outcome is so important for your future that you're not sure how to go about it. All of sudden a thousand of 'what if' comes down crashing on you. It feels like stage fright. The worst moment is before you start talking. You look at every detail and every time you have the feeling the moment is not right... Now she made a step his way...

Wow that was long... sorry about that
Now I wish I could write that much in my new story... I guess that's another one I won't finish... *sigh*

Wow that was long but i totally agree with everything you said. ;)

She is definatly interested like you said otherwise she wouldnt of said anything, he just needs to tell her how he feels and we might even get in the next eppie b/c from what ive read, she flirts with some guy and i think he sees it so that might make him talk to her about his feelings. Theres a pic that Kaylyne posted in Emily/Calleigh thread that said " a murder case on a horse track has Calleigh riding off with a potential love interest" sooo ya never know.

I guess you're right Elicia. Even if it's hard for him he needs to think of what he really wants. Is this just a fantasy of his like you said or does he wants to have a serious relationship with Calleigh. Cause if he wants to be with her for real it's high time to make a move, especially after the conservation they had.
A few weeks ago I said that she have to decide what she wants, cause he won't wait forever. And what a surprise, few weeks later and now he's the one who have to decide, because this time she won't wait forever.:scream:
I mean she's older then him, I know it's only 2 years, but still if she wants to have children, she can't wait too long.:) It's not so simple for women. So if he wants to have a family with her, he needs to act fast or it can be too late.:p

I agree! They have built up this couple so much, and I can picture them getting married, and having kids..etc..even though it's just a TV show :)

The scene the writers did on Monday was done so they could move this forward a little faster. one big step among baby steps. I mean they can't all of a sudden have her decide she wants something with him w/o there being some sort of acknowledgment on her part. Hence the "I'm so confused" scene.

Them making it a shocking moment like that; 1) gets it out there from her pov; 2) gets the ball rolling faster and 3) leaves an opening you could drive a mac truck through for them to just get it on

What it also does it get this 'thing' between them out of his head and out into the open. And once things come out into the open, it makes forward movement, of any kind, alot easier b/c now both parties have somehow acknowledged that 'it' is there.

By making it shocking, the writers stunned us for a moment and made us forget for a second everything that has transpired between them as little and as subtle as it was, in faovr of this one huge, defining moment. A moment which is going to be the most crucial of them all. A moment that will probably be the one that finally gets them together. :D

hi everyone..i noticed something...when eric and calleigh were talking at that intersection in the last episode, and then there was that long silence..and then frank interuppted..i think eric was going to say something because at about :55 in this video, eric mouths the "damn". I mean, it could just be how he moved his mouth..but i see it...its hard to see, so you may have to watch it a few times.. :)

HAHAHA I saw the "damn". :guffaw:LOL Poor Eric.
I love the way Calleigh switches from being almost playful to serious in no time at all, and her little cough is hilarious. Couldn't Frank have just stayed in the background for like 10 more seconds??

Just saw a new promo for 7.13. In it Eric and Calleigh are processing a scene, Eric seems to be dusting a window for prints and tells her something like "I thought you were coming by last night, what happened to you?". Then they show her at the horse race track being asked by that trainer guy if she wants to ride, then they show the two of them riding horses... seemingly as the sun goes down. Hmmmm... seems to me they are going to throw a little jealousy into Monday's episode. I'm betting Eric finds out she went horseback riding with the guy when she was supposed to be going over to Eric's place. But, I really can't see Calleigh doing something like that... knowing how Eric feels about her. He'd be jealous, and yet also a little heartbroken. I hate seeing heartbroken Eric.

I just saw that promo as well. In fact, that's the only reason I logged on here. Looks like we can expect something E/C related in Mondays episode. 7.12 really seemed to trigger what might happen in upcoming episodes. I'm actually excited for 7.13 now.

I also can't see the reason for her not being there...solely being about them. From "The DeLuca Motel" we found out that the team hangs out together on certain nights so it is possible she chose to go horseback riding instead of meeting up with everyone. It is also possible that she missed whatever she missed with him for an entirely different reason and she goes horseback riding at the end of the ep. I thought is interesting that one of the catch phrases was "the chase in on" hmmm....wonder if that has a double meaning pertaining to the case and them or just them??

In the end, as usual, we will just have to wait and see.

You have a point... it seemed like the sun was going down when Calleigh and the trainer were riding, and episodes comprise one day... so this would have to be at the end of the episode. So Eric's comment to Calleigh about not coming by obviously happens earlier in the episode.

They always have double meanings... so the "chase is on" could be that guy going after Calleigh, making Eric jealous. The chase for Calleigh is on. But, considering what will happen in the very next episode, I'm sure Calleigh turns the trainer down on the possibility of a dating relationship (perhaps she agrees to just go riding with him, and nothing more... Eric would see or know this is going on, be jealous, but not really having a need to be since Calleigh wants nothing more than just to go riding once??) and/or we never see him again.

And the crappy thing... 7.14 is two weeks after this episode. So we have to wait 2 weeks for resolution... as I think 7.13 doesn't end well for E/C. Meaning... it'll end with Calleigh and the trainer riding off into the sunet on the horses, and Eric all jealous. Its a good thing we know about what happens in 7.14 and 7.16, or the new promo for 7.13 would bother me to no end.

AH, MAN!! did anyone catch the promo on film or know where i could wacth it? maybe ill just have to record every single CBS show and watch them all for promos  but i cant wait to see what happens with C/E...hmm...coming over? and she didnt show? calleigh..dont do that to the man! hes obviously suffereing...dont play hard to get now!

I don't think Calleigh would stood Eric up for some random guy ever. Even if she wasn't in love with him, they are best friends and I seriously doubt she'd do something like that. As somebody said it's possible that they were supposed to go somewhere as a team and she hadn't showed up. It would be a really bad thing for her character if she actually should have gone to his house and, instead, she went with that guy... Calleigh was always presented as a nice and caring person and something like this would totally be a setback. I still hope something will happen between these two this Monday. Well, as always, we'll just have to wait and see, right?

Man i am dying to see that promo!! thank god we dont have to wait that long for the episode :)
Im pretty excited for this one with whats been said.

When does 714 air? b/c i think thats where we'll get something official with these two, ya know with Calleigh ending up in the hospital an all. I hope he gets her flowers or gets really worried when he finds out shes in the hospital or something and i hope he opens up to her. :adore:
