However, I totally agree that they should've at least mentioned Duke (aside from the "Divorce" comment in Season 5's "Just Murdered.")
Well aside that comment we have to worry about Duke's disappearance:wtf:.

. Come on....nobody informed Duke about Calleigh's disappearance?? I mean she was missing for more than 24 hours.
I'd really love to see him back...in a normal situation too
Yea, exactly!! I mean, that's what made "All In" somewhat unrealistic to me. Did her family not care that she was missing for over 24 hours?? Where the heck was her dad? Did he not notice? Personally, I was hoping to get a scene where Duke comes down to the lab to look for Cal, and H, being her boss, has to explain what happened and Duke gets pissed, etc., then breaks down. I think it would've been a nice moment.
Maybe Duke was trying to get drunk because of the news:lol:.
Now, seriously I think he should have been informed about her abduction or at least a little bit worried not to get in touch w/ her for over over 24 hours ( I think they usually get in touch every day

)
I would have loved a scene like the one you mentioned. It really could have remembered us the good old times, the real soul of CSI:Miami.
Now we have a father who doesn't worry about the missing his daughter
And I also didn't get where the heck Jake flew off too.

Even from a "non-Cake-shipper" standpoint, you have to admit it doesn't make sense. Those two had a relationship, and it was never officially ended — as far as we knew, Jake was still working w/the MDPD. So where the heck was he for Cal's kidnapping - sleeping? If something happened to Jake - he got fired, moved, they broke up, etc — that should've at least been said. It was such a gaping hole in the ep - as if TPTB were desperately trying to make Jake look incredibly bad so that Eric would look really good in this whole "triangle thing" they were trying to do. I don't know.
Well I'm a CaKe shipper but I don't want to get into shippiy things. All I can say about this is that it's odd....one of the weirdest things ever.
Yep it was a releationship which officialy never ofically ended (people can say everything about it but they never showed us it ended...& till that moment Calleigh & Jake ar officially together). Plus as you said we never saw him getting fired or anything else, so it's too odd they never mentioned him during that episode...and I agree w/ you it looks such desparate attempt of TPTB to show how Jake is bad & Eric is good.
Jake wasn't a good choice to develop Calleigh's character ( I still think it was a bad choice in terms of "triangle" stuff. They biult it up...well go on w/ it)??? Well make him go away...do not drop him off as it seems they did w/ Calleigh's dad.
I've got the impression TPTB every year try to build up a good storyline for Calleigh
s3 -Speedle's death, Hagen's suicide & her father's stuff.
s4- possible triangle Eric/Ryan/Calleigh & then Peter Elliot's stuff
s4/6- triangle.
It looks to me they build these storylines for Calleigh but they're never able to develop them properly because of their well-know problem w/ cointinuity. I mean what was the purpose of building up the triangle without considering it for more than half of a season (w/ part of it completely dropped off)? What was the purpose of giving Calleigh a father w/ alcohol problems who loves his daughter & then drop him off & not to show him in her kidnapping episode? What was the purpose of mentioning her mother in the way it was menioned in CSI:My Nanny...& then...is Calleigh's mother still alive???
I love how EP is able to handle all these horrible storylines in such a good way that they even look realistic:thumbsup:....but come on it's time for TPTB to do a better job w/ Calleigh's private life
