Well if what they are saying in the spolier thread is true we may have a little idea of what tptb are thinking (unless they change their mind season or something).

I also think that Danny is not into PDAs in particular at work. It could make some very difficult situations.

For me this couple need to be together, but I think it will take the season to get them back on track. Lindsay brings out a diferent side to Danny than he doesn't shows anyone else and vise versa.

Still sending lots of Fluff thoughts and a few gutter ones to the DL writers:(:devil::drool::devil:. Sits in her corner crossing everything! ;) Please let things be happy abroad the DL love boat.:)

Just a quick visit. I am at my ultimate D/L low at the moment :(

I still feel that they can find a way to make everything alright again, but somehow all kinds of horror scenarios keep popping up in my head (related, of course, to the return of Rikki :scream:) and no matter how much fluffy or guttery thoughts I try to come up with, nothing seems to help.

I thought I was the only one feeling so horrible, but apparently more hardcore D/L shippers are experiencing the same feelings of dread. It is probably a combination from being left with questions and even more questions in the future. When there is some concrete info about their status in season 5 I will probably get excited again or .... (don't want to think about that yet).

I'm holding my breath for whatever news Ausiello will have for us this week, but right now I cannot even see how they can even be friends again when there is no talking between them :rolleyes: ... I hope we will get some clues about what TPTB are planning/thinking.

I'll return when my optimism has returned :eek:

I'm pretty sure they'll talk at some point or at least show that they have already talked. At the very least they would need to have a conversation where they just decide to 'do their jobs'. Oh wait, they had that convo in S3 so it would seem a little repetitive. But then again they could have Danny having to face his personal demons over on Staten Island (not quite Montana but hey!) so Lindsay hops on a ferry to be there for him, as a friend of course. Then, a few epis later they could get drunk, have sex then confuse us about their relationship status until Bam! something awful happens to one of them (again):rolleyes:, they shut the other out, one reveals their feelings and the other just looks shocked. We could be on this merry go round for a long time. :confused:

Yeah, I'm starting to think that no news is good news where D/L are concerned. :lol:

I can't stomach anymore irritating back and forth nonsense. TPTB just need to make up their minds whether they want them as a couple or not. No more ping-ponging. It's really stupid and irritating.

I'm with you on that one. I wish that they would either go for it or stop putting us through the will they wont they:brickwall: stuff yet again. Don't get me wrong a bit of will they wont they can be fun. But with everything that has happened to these two it is getting a bit much.


dutch_treat - I feel your pain! :( I seem to go from quite sad and dreading what they are going to to DL :( :wtf: :scream: to thinking that is just the bump in the road and it will be okay in the end :drool:. Until we hear anything different all we can do is hope that tptb have the best DL fluff coming for us this season.

Sending some fluff (and some gutter) DL thoughts to everyone;)

Right... i'm sticking it in a spoiler cos i think it is but it might not be, so i thought i'd be safe.. if its not then well.

Basically read on TV Guide website that Rikki could be back for as many as 4 episodes.

*cue mixture of curiosity and dread*

Now the part of me thinking oooh is that this may mean Lindsay may actually find out, I mean it would make sense if she is not just back for one episode. Hence me slightly happy in a bad way because it may let them be open with each other. Its something that needed to happen and i've seen even the non DL fans say it would be nice for her to find out.

The other side of me is just thiking WTF have they concocted. The baby scenario seems more plausibe but was to obvious in my head anyway but then this is NY they love to play with us. I just couldnt do it if they did that cos it would be more than 4 eps.

I've realised i'm happy that TPTB are hiding us from information, yes i'm wierd but i think i would prefer the surprise to a point i don't mind little hints.

I'm quite happy actually because to distract from my overthinking of DL I got hooked to Gossip girl and that is a brilliant distraction.

When I saw what was being said in the spolier thread I too thought that Rikki being pregnant was way too obvious and the writers didn't tend to go down the obvious (and soappy route) plus I would have thought that they would have brought her in for more than 4 episodes if was was pregnant. When he was asked about a "bun in the oven" he didn't really answer - for all we know he could be laughing because it is such an obvious thing to come up with (in soapland). IF there is a pregnancy it could be Flacks sister or even Lindsay (not that I want that to happen)!

I am hoping that Her return will in fact be a help and not a problem with DL getting back together. It could be that she does not inact with Danny that much, lets not forget that that Flack was the one who helpped her with the gun thing.

I wait with baited breath to hear what Ausiello has to say. Lets hope we don't have to wait too long!

I am so utterly lost......I am really sad too. I mean...why do we need a baby in the mix. I don't like that idea. I mean...that is getting WAY too soap operish. I can't see this. I am hoping this is all just talk. Don't forget the guy (criminal) is only out on bond and he still has a hearing to be had. So, there is a senario. I think I have to cover my ears and eyes. I can't take a D/L destruction. I think that there is a way that; yes the whole issue could be brought up and resolved and everyone work on getting back to what they were trying to accomplish. She loves him, and you know he has to love her by his actions and his ways. I mean....just listen to his conversation when she is taking a rain walk. No, he didn't come right out and say it...however, who really knows what he might have followed up with if she had not hung up. I could kick her little tail for that one. Nope, I refuse to believe this baby conspiracy:brickwall::mad:

Well, in a weird way the fact that she is returning for perhaps as many as four eps made me a little happier. We already figured it would be some eps in season 5, but now we have some kind of number and that also means that at one point she will be leaving for good *crosses fingers* :p this time.

And that, for me, pretty much blows the baby theory (as if a new baby could ever just 'replace' a dead child and make life all perfect again :rolleyes: - disgusting if they are even going to imply that :()...because if Danny and Rikki would have a child together we would probably see her recurring more throughout next season and plausible seasons after that...:scream:

Well, if she's only on for four eps, they could still have her be pregnant and then have her miscarry. Though, I'd hate for them to do that to poor Danny. Let's just hope that the four eps has to do with the trial.

I would hate it if they did that to Rikki too...a recurring character who loses two children sounds like overkill (no pun) to me

Although I'm happy -because it is more believable- that D/L are not suddenly happy in love again at the start of the next season, I am a bit worried about more Danny-Drama :rolleyes: The only possitive twist I can give this is:

Rikki returns -> non-Lindsay related things happening to Danny -> Lindsay coming to the rescue

That to me (just speculation :cool:) sounds indeed like Rikki may be the main cause of what will be troubling Danny, and since the use of the term 'rescue' sounds a bit strange when it concerns a pregnancy I think that Rikki may come back to stalk/threaten/bother Danny,:eek: who tries to keep this from his friends until something goes wrong and Lindsay has to be there for him.

And for the Lindsay part...PV does still mention Danny as a man in her life, but there will be someone else who catches her attention and that can in the end be the final push that they need to make things right between her and Danny...come on Linds! scare the shit out of him :lol:

As I suspected, no real answers, and more questions :rolleyes: ... maybe we need to find something more intimidating than pitchforks ;)

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE JOKING ME!!!!!!! This pisses me off beyond words! :scream::scream::scream: I am sorry but reading that really ticks me off and I don't think I can stomach a new man for Lindsay and Rikki coming back....:(

I am going to stay away from this ship right now...give me good news and I might be back. :(

Eh, screw it, I am not jumping ship...I spoke too soon :lol: I just am really frustrated that's all ;)

Okay, it's official. CSI: NY has undoubtedly turned into a primetime soap opera ala Dallas style (or if you want to be more current- Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, even the OC). Ugh. Sorry, writers, not intrigued at all. :( I so wish we had a puke smilie. I'd really use it right now. Honestly, if it wasn't for the Flack story arc coming up and the news about Adam getting to be in the field some, I'd totally stop watching this show for a while. Well, unless they cast someone I really like as Lindsay's new guy. But, at this stage... I'm not sure who would be good enough to get me to watch this. I might still quit watching. Not cause I'm a D/L shipper and don't want to see either of them with anyone else, but because this is too much like a freaking prime-time soap.

Have to say it wasn't the kind of stuff i was expecting to say with the rumours mainly because i was expecting what we already know.

But danny in trouble on his own is expected, he always does but it makes more sense with Rikki now... and Lindsay coming to his rescue, very very very interesting and could be a good way to take it.

Lindsay's male interest, as much as i like DL and want then together, its nice to see she has a life outside of work or can have a life because so far all we've seen from her is lab/danny and thats it.

I'm still hoping we get some kind of decent closure at least but i'm happy they aren't gonna assume its perfect from the start and maybe its a chance for the bantering to come back.

Caustiosly optimistic about there relationship as a whole, i'll be happy if they can banter and the rescue sounds interesting.

I'm feeling a little more optimistic too...don't know why but the fact that PV says that Danny is still a man in Lindsay life and the fact that both Rikki and the guy Lindsay takes an interest in will be gone after a couple sounds promising.

I doubt TPTB already know how to end the new season so this will all probably take place in the first two or three quarters of the season, which still leaves time to have D/L back together in a believable way by the end of the season :cool:

And since we're passed the 900th post we can start talking about thread titles again. I would like to suggest one that Lindsay asked Danny, but it could also be one that we could ask our beloved couple :wtf:
