CSI:NY Wherever love takes us (Stella centered fic.)

Chapter 37:

“Are you sure you should go to school Honey? You look really sick.” Stella looked at Angie, the poor girl had been throwing up all morning.

“I have practise this afternoon, I have to go.” Angelina looked at her with a sad look on her face.

”I know this is usually against my rules, but stay home, if you feel better this afernoon, I’ll drive you to the rink okay?” Stella smiled, and added in a joking tone: “I have a day off you know, so I’ll be home to make sure you stay in your bed.”

They laughed, “Thanks mom.”

“Well off to bed you go then.” Stella hugged her daughter, “I’ll be up with hot chocolate at 11, sleep tight.”

“You’re fantastic, mom.” Angelina smiled before she went off to bed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Is Angelina doing better?” Macs voice was a little distant in the phone.

“Yea, I dropped her of at the rink 2 hours ago, she insisted on going to practise, her skating career means so much to her.”

”That’s good. How long has she been sick like this?”

“Since, I don’t know, 2 weeks after she walked in on us, which she haven’t been able to let me forget yet…” She laughed, so did Mac.

“So basically, it started a week ago.” Mac loved teasing Stella, when something she said or did, could be done easier.

“You just cant help it huh?” If she’d been at the lab, she would’ve punched him.

“Sorry…” Mac seemed to try hard to contain his laughter. “Well, I gotta go Honey, Flack is standing in the door with a rather impatient look on his face.”

“See you tonight Mac, I love you.”

“I love you too”

Stella hung up the phone, and not more than 2 seconds later she heard the door close..

”Mom! I’m home.” Angelina dropped her skates in the entrance and went to the living room where Stella was sitting, still holding the phone.

“Hey, how was practise?”

“It was okay, my coach wants me to practise extra hard this season, she’s babbling about making me achieve to get to the Olympics in 2 years.” Angelina hugged her mom, she had a proud look on her face.

“Wow, that’s fantastic for you honey, I hope you succeed.”

Well, here's next update, then lets see if our thoughts are the same place this time Natty.. :D

Chapter 38:

“I don’t know Mac, she’s been acting so strange, she barely speaks to me, I know teenage girls has to tear them selves loose, but she’s 15, shouldn’t that have already happened?” Stella knew she sounded so pathetic, but Angelina had been so distant.

“She’s probably just going through a rough time.” Mac hugged her, “I have to go Honey, I’ll see you at the lab in the morning okay?”

“Okay Mac, see you then.” Stella kissed him goodbye before he left her alone to her thoughts.

Stella hadn’t been sitting alone for long, before she heard Angelina from the bathroom.

“Mom?!” She sounded confused, and scared.

Stella got up immediately and went to the bathroom door, “What is it Honey?”

“Could you come in here for a second?”

Stella opened the door and found her daughter sitting on the floor crying.

“What’s wrong?”

”I… It’s…” Angelina handed her something, Stella didn’t see what it was at first, before she realised that it was a pregnancy test, a positive pregnancy test.

“Angie…” Stella placed her arms around Angelina, “Come here.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Mom, I don’t know what to do?” Angelina looked at her, she hadn’t touched her breakfast.

“I cant make that decision for you Honey, just remember, I’m not mad at you, and no matter what you choose, I’ll be right here with you okay?” Stella stroked Angie’s cheek.

“Thanks mom.”

“Does Michael know?” Stella knew, that telling a 16 year old boy that he might be going to be a father wasn’t easy.

“I’ll tell him today mom.” A tear was running down Angelina’s cheek, being pregnant could at least put a break on her skating career, for at least 2 years, her teenage life would be ended if she was going to be a mother.

“Take your time honey, and don’t make you decision because of him okay?” Stella wiped the tear of Angelina’s cheek, the poor girl seemed so fragile.

Stella knew, that even though most parents would be mad at their teenage daughters if they came home telling them that they were pregnant, but as much as that was true, Stella knew that Angie needed her support, not her judgement.

Chapter 39:

“Look mom, that’s my baby.” Angelina cried, they were at the doctors for a scan.

“It sure is Honey.” It had been a week since Angelina had told Michael about the baby, he had cut off all contact, as they had expected.

“I cant give it away, that little wonder deserves a chance to live, and we have the room, and dad left me money too, I can afford taking care of a baby.” Angelina smiled in pride, “That’s my baby mom!”

Stella held her hand on Angelina’s shoulder, feeling a tear run down her cheek, she wasn’t sure if it was pride, or just happiness, that Angelina had made such an adult decision.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“She’s… what Is she?” Mac looked at Stella with a surprised, almost chocked look on his face.

“Exactly my thought when she told me. But she’s actually pretty happy about it now.” She smiled, so did Mac.

“And how about you, you do realise that you are a going to be a grandmother then right?” He laughing teasingly.

“I am? God, I feel old.” She punched Mac, “Of course I know that, what did you think?”

“Sorry Stella.”

Stella felt a tear run down her cheek, she was so proud that Angie could take such a decision, but she knew that it would take much from herself too, because Angelina wasn’t prepared to be a full time mom.

“Aww, Stella… You’re so cute when you do that.” Mac smiled.

“When I do what?”

“Cry.” He kissed her cheek, “She’ll do just fine, she’ll always have you there, to support her through hard times.”

“I know.”

Chapter 40:

Stella laughed as she finally managed to push Mac out of the bed and land on top of him on the floor.

”Gotcha.” She had been trying to wake him up all morning, he just slept on, but this time she got him.

“So mean.” He mumbled before he rolled over and ended up sitting on top of her, holding her to the floor.

Why don’t I ever learn? Stella thought to her self, she knew that Mac was about 10 times as strong as her.

Fighting to push Mac off her, she laughed so hard that she could barely breathe.

“Could you two possibly quiet down a bit? I’m trying to sleep.” Angelina laughed from her room, being 8 months pregnant, Angelina still had the energy to tease them every time she got the chance.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

“You’ll do just fine Honey, don’t worry.” Stella stroked Angie’s hair, the last 30 minutes, Angie had been having doubts that she would be a good mom.

“But Mom, I’m only 16, how could I take care of this little girl.” Angie looked at the little girl she was holding, a healthy little girl to make everything even better.

“I know you can do it, when things get a little out of hand, I’ll be right there to help you.” Stella looked at Angie, before she looked at her little granddaughter.

“I know mom, I know.” Angelina smiled when she looked towards the door.

“Hey sweetie, how is our great-granddaughter doing?” Angela and Jim was standing in the door, smiling.

“She’s finally gotten a little tired.” Angelina hugged her grandmother as good as she could without waking up the little girl.

“I am so proud of you.” Jim smiled as he also hugged Angelina, carefully.

“Thanks.” Angelina looked at her daughter that was now awake and smiling.

Stella stroked the little girls cheek, making her grab Stellas finger and hold on tight.

“Have you thought of a name yet?” Angela smiled, looked from Angelina, to the little girl, and back to Angelina.

“Yea, Vanessa.” Angelina smiled proudly, “Vanessa Bonasera Sanders.”

Angelina looked at Stella, who guessed that she probably had a pretty goofy look on her face, Angelina hadn’t told her that the little girl would be named Bonasera.

“Bonasera?” Stella looked away for a second.

“Yea, because you’ve always been there for me, ever since dad met you, and especially now, after he’s gone, and you’ve been my parent. I’m so grateful for that.” Stella felt a tear run down her cheek by Angelina’s words.

“I… I’ve run out of words Honey.” Stella managed to say that, without her voice shivering because of the tears.

Mel.. You are going to love me for this :D

Chapter 41:

“Ssch Sweetie.” Stella rocked Vanessa carefully in her arms, she had just fed the girl, and was about to put her back to bed.

Obviously, Vanessa was bottle-fed, even though Angelina was the most responsible teenage-mom Stella had ever imagined, she didn’t like the idea of breast feeding her daughter, which was understandable.

Stella yawned, at 2:30 am, she was way more tired than the little girl, but she didn’t really mind, she liked taking care of the girl.

Because Angie after all still only was 16, they were taking shifts in looking after the girl at nights, Stella had taken vacation, so that she could help Angie through the first time of her motherhood.

“Hey Honey.” Mac whispered, he was standing in the bedroom door, just home from work. He had been living there for almost 2 months now.

Sometimes even he got up in the middle of the night to look after the girl, he was part of her family too somehow. They were a weird, and alternate family, but still a family, and a happy one.

“I’ll be back in 2 minutes, I just need to put Vanessa back to bed.” Stella kissed Mac before she went towards the nursery that was perfectly placed, right between their bedroom and Angelina’s room.

“Sleep tight love.” Stella tugged the little girl in before she went back to her own bedroom.

“I know this isn’t the most romantic moment we’ve ever shared, but no matter how much I plan, and how many times I think it through, I couldn’t think of any better way to do this.” Mac started, before her got down on one knee right in front of her.

“Stella, I love you… More than anything in the whole world, and being with you, has made my life perfect, and I want to live the rest of my life with you.” He took a deep breath, before he looked her in the eyes, his eyes must have taken all her attention, because suddenly he was holding a beautiful ring.

“Stella Bonasera… Will you marry me?” He looked at her, she felt her heart jump up and down like it had never done before.

The tears started to run silently down her cheeks, once again, she was surprised by the phenomena called tears of joy.

“I thought you’d never ask.” She smiled, “Yes, Mac Taylor, I will marry you, and be forever yours.”

Mac slid the ring on her finger, before he kissed her, romantically, a perfect way to start their perfect engagement.
