Chapter 30:
”Stella! My coach will kill me if we’re late!” Angie was on her way to practise, the Nationals were only a week away. They had been back in New York for nearly 6 months.
“Just a second Angie.” She was walking around in her own thoughts, she had realised that she had feelings she doubted she would ever be able to admit.
She grabbed her car keys and went to the car.
On their way to the rink Angelina looked at her, “Just tell him what you feel.” Stella turned her head, “What? What makes you think…” Angie was too fast, “Its so obvious for everybody but the two of you.”
Okay, she had to admit, sometimes, the connection between her and Angie was pretty annoying, “Look, I cant okay? I still miss…” Again Angie was fast, “Don’t pull dad into this, I know you miss him, so do I, but he would love to see you happy again. Besides, you need Mac.”
She was just about ready to strangle Angie, as the girl continued, “Bring him to the nationals… Please?” The look in Angelinas eyes made her give in, “Alright I’ll invite him, but as a friend.”
Angelina laughed, “I bet you two end…” That was a little too much, “Thanks Angie!” The rest of the trip was silent.
Chapter 31:
“Hey sleepyheads! Get up! Breakfast’s ready!” Stella heard Angelina laugh from the kitchen, she guessed that the next she would hear from that girl would be I told you so.
“Just a sec!” Stella laughed, as she kissed Mac again, she really didn’t want to get up, but they had to go to work soon, and Angelina had school.
“Is she always this nosey?” Mac smiled as he got up,.
“Yep, That’s Angie at her best.” Stella could hardly stop laughing, she had no idea why this moment was so hilarious, but she was there, with Mac, enough to make the entire team laugh.
“Oh Come on, it’s not like it’s the last time you’ll get to see each other!” Angie Laughed again.
“Angie, I swear, some day I’ll get revenge for all of this!” Stella laughed, some day, Angie would bring boys home, well, that would hopefully still be a while, but her kid ”sister” was actually a teenage girl.
“Yea yea.” Angie could be pretty annoying at times.
Stella got out of bed, and got dressed within half a minute, exactly 2 minutes faster than Mac.
“Goodmorning.” Angie smiled as Stella sat down by the table, she guessed that she was blushing a little bit.
“Good morning to you too Angie.” Stella sent her a threatening look. Angie laughed again, “What are you gonna do? Ground me for saying: Told you so!”
“Be careful young lady, that might just be what I’m going to do.” Stella laughed, Angie was standing behind the kitchen counter laughing.
“I don’t think so.” Angie laughed.
”Oh really?” Stella got up and chased Angie up the stairs, they had bought a nice 2 floor apartment on Manhattan, Jimmy had left them a lot of money after all, but even though Stella was happy that something had happened between her and Mac, she still missed Jimmy.
“Gotcha!” Stella laughed as she picked up her skinny “sister”, threw her over her shoulder and carried her downstairs.
“Stella…” Angie tried to continue, but she was laughing too hard.
Re-entering the kitchen, they were met by Mac, who fell backwards off his chair laughing.
“You girls are crazy.” He laughed even more when he got up and saw Stella put Angie down on the counter
