CSI:NY Wherever love takes us (Stella centered fic.)

why not marry Mac? You're mean lol

Patience... All about Patience...

Well, in my beloved habit of leaving you hanging, enjoy.

Chapter 24:

“Stella, you’ve only been gone for a month, but this place is a mess, what would we do if you left for good.” She was speking in the phone with Mac, her vacation in Greece was nearly over, but it had been fantastic.

“We’re on our way to the airport, We’ll be in New York in the morning.” She laughed, she had been on the phone with Mac nearly everyday, he really did miss her, their friendship had been closer ever since the little, incident at the hospital.

“You’d better be, you cant miss your own wedding.” He was actually right, she was getting married 3 days after their arrival.

“I’ll see you when we get there Mac, bye.” She hung up the phone, she could barely wait for her wedding, she loved Jimmy so much, and the fact that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together made her fly.

At the airport in New York:

“Jimmy look, there’s Mac.” She looked at him, it wasn’t only him, “And Lindsay, and Flack.” She was guessing that the others were at the lab. She waved at them, she could use her arm again, she had had it checked in Greece. Everything was fine, the same with her nose. She was as good as new.

They walked towards them, suddenly they heard shots, everything happened so slowly, she pushed Angelina to the ground, and got on the floor next to her, suddenly she realised something was wrong, Jimmy? Where was Jimmy?

She heard another series of shots, she saw Jimmy falling to the gound, in slowmotion, like in a really bad thriller. She got on her knees, she didn’t care if she would be hit next, Jimmy was shot, and he wasn’t breathing, she tried everything, but there was no pulse.

She heard Mac yell, and soon the guy who shot was in custody. She didn’t focus on anything but Jimmy, her Jimmy, the guy she was supposed to marry in 3 days. As the seconds went by and turned to minutes there was still no response.

“Jimmy! Come on Jimmy! Dont leave me!” She didn’t want to give up hope, not yet. Mac came to her side, he wanted to help. Mac took over as she sat by Jimmys side, praying that he would get through this.

“Jimmy, dont die on me!” The tears were streaming down her cheek, “I love you so much Jimmy! Dont leave me like this!”

Angelina was standing, looking terrified at her father. She fell on her knees next to him, “You’re gonna get through this Daddy! I know you are!” She were crying too. She threw her arms around Stella, “He’s gonna be fine right?”

Stella stroked her hair, “I dont know sis.”, she felt how her sister moved closer, she tried to comfort her, but the fact was, she couldn’t, she was way to scared herself.

I know, well another weird twist for ya, I know I'm mean to Stella, like her life haven't been interesting enough already.

Chapter 25:

“Dear Mac.

I know this probably isn’t the best decision i’ve made, but i cant handle the memories, the sorrow, I miss him so much.
I know you would say, that the best thing is to open up, get through it with your friends, but i cant. I cant do this, not this way.
I really appreciate the huge support you’ve given me through this, I know you will always be there for me. And i know that, with everything that happened with Claire back then, you would be the best support for me to have, but i need to go through this on my own.
I know you would say that i’m strong, that i can get through this, but Jimmy was the best that ever happened to me, i wont be able to move on, not the way things are right now.

What I’m trying to say, is that while you’re reading this, I’m probably already sitting in the plane, on my way to Boston.
I’m sorry for leaving like this, I really ment to say goodbye in person, but i couldn’t.

Thanks for everything Mac, you are my best friend, and that will never change. I hope you find a good CSI to take my place.

I’ll miss you.

Forever yours...
Stella.”

He had just gotten to work, the letter was placed neatly on his desk. He hadn’t thought of Stella as the person to run away, but it was hard for her, she had worked her ass off the last week, since the funeral.

He felt several tears run down his cheeks, he felt sorry for Stella, sure he did, but he would miss her so much, he wanted to help her through this, but she wanted to do it on her own, clearly.

When Claire died, he had considered that option himself, but he wasn’t able to pull himself away from his job, his friends, everything. He knew what Stella was going through, but he also knew that it is so much harder to go through it alone.

He sat down on the floor, he felt miserable, for not being able to help her through it, and the thought of him living his life without Stella to be there for him, made him cry even more.

Lindsay walked past the office, he didn’t care if she saw him crying, it didn’t matter. Usually he would have been embarrased but not today.

She came back, went inside, “Mac? What happened?” He handed her the letter and she read it in silence.

She placed her arm around his shoulder, “Do you think she will be able to go through it all alone?” He wiped the tears away, “I honestly dont know.”

Wow this is tragic.

I've only just started reading though.

Was Jimmy Stealla's like... step father? I mean... sounds to me like he was her younger sister's dad... so he was with her mom at some point right? Weird.

Jimmy was Stellas fiancee, Jimmy's daughter Angelina is like Stellas sister.

Well next update for ya:

live with you?”
Chapter 26:

"Once in a lifetime, you are lucky enough to meet someone, so special, that you fall in love instantly, and really wish to spend the rest of your life with him. When you meet a guy like that, dont let him go, and dont take the love for granted.
I haven't always been the most lucky person when it came to love, actually, I've brought my own life, and others' lives in danger in the name of love, more often that i would be ready to admit.
Even though i met the perfect guy, something didn't want us to be together forever, and left me where I am now, alone, in a whole new place, on a new job, with no friends here..."

She looked at the display on her phone, she had Macs number dialled, should she call him? She wouldn’t know what to say, but she missed him, just hearing his voice.

She threw the phone on the table, if she called him, and heard his voice, this would be so much harder than it already was.

She had been living in Boston for a week, she had just moved in to her own place, it was so different from New York. But she needed it.

She hadn’t told anyone where she lived, not even Mac. But there was still quite a lot of focus on her from the press. She just wanted peace.

Just then her phone rang, which wondered her, because she had switched numbers, she didn’t know anyone here.

“Hello?” She heard someone cry, it was a very familiar voice, “Angie! How are you holding up?” Angelina took a deep breath, “I dont know.” They spoke for nearly 30 minutes before Angelina gathered courage to ask: “Can i move to Boston, and live with you?

She missed Angelina so much, and they both had a very hard time, “I think so, but are you sure? I mean, we will need to find you a new coach, book practise hours at the rink, stuff like that.”

Angelina took a deep breath, “Yea, i’m 100% sure.” Jimmy had written in his will, that if anything should happen to him, he wanted Stella to take care of Angelina. And he had left them everything he had, including the apartment, which she got a fair amount of money from selling, but she had decided to spend whatever it took, for Angelina to continue her figure skating.

“Well, when are you coming then?” She was actually happy that Angelina was coming, she missed her. Angelina laughed, “How about Friday?” Stella smiled by herself “I cant wait.”

She thought about how Angelina had done at the nationals, she had gotten the 3rd place, Jimmy had been so proud of her. It was actually good that the nationals were over this time, she would have time to get to know her new coach, and to learn some new jumps for the upcoming season.

Chapter 27:

She had gone with Angelina to the rink, they had been living in Boston for nearly 3 months now, Angie was skating to the song by Ronan Keating, the way you make me feel, one of her dads favourites.

She thought of the day she met Jimmy, at the rink, watching Angelina skate, just like now. She missed him so much. She felt a tear fall down her cheek, she had tried forget him, to move on and leave her past behind but she couldn’t, he always came to her mind, they should’ve been married now, and be happy. Her, Jimmy and Angelina.

What the hell had she been thinking? She hated Boston, everything about it, she was working in a shoe-store, she missed Home, New York city. She missed everything, the excitement by working at the crimelab, she missed having friends around every day, she missed being called in the middle of the night, having to go to work.

She missed Mac, she missed Mac like hell, she hadn’t spoken to him since she left, the last he had heard from her, was the letter. Wonder what he was doing, She imagined him rushing around at the lab, giving the new CSI a hard time.

He was probably at a weird crime scene, in some typical New York apartment. She missed it all so much, she really really wanted to go back. Maybe she should? Angelina hated it here too, she hated her new coach, her new school, her new classmates.

But Stella knew, that she wouldn’t be able to go back, and continue from where she left off. She wouldn’t be able to work at the lab, the team was probably offended that she just left. And Mac was most likely hurt, that she left without saying goodbye, leaving him nothing but a letter.

She wiped a tear while watching Angelina land a double toeloop. Or at least, that was what she thought it was called, Angelina had tried to tell her about it, but she found it hard to find a difference between the jumps.

The fact was, that as long as she decided to stay in Boston, she would be alone, all alone.

Suddenly someone placed an arm around her shoulders, she felt a familiar scent fill her nose...

Chapter 28:

She took a deep breath, before she turned her head and looked at whoever was sitting next to her, It was Mac, it really was, he was real. She threw her arms around his neck, she felt how the tears once again was going strong down her cheeks. She couldn’t believe that he was actually there, after 3 months, with no contact at all, he was there.

“Mac? I’m so sorry for leaving like that, i’ve missed you so much!” She felt how Mac held his arms around her, “Stella. You would never know how much i’ve missed you!”

She felt the tears come back, they were straming down her cheeks, as they sat there, they sat there, holding each other, with no idea on how to let go, for 5-7 minutes.

That Night:

“Thanks for letting me stay Stella.” Mac smiled, she were so happy to see him again, she had missed him so much. “No Mac, thank you for coming.” Mac was heading back to New York in the morning, the lab was busier than ever, he hadn’t been able to find a new CSI.

“I dont know how i could just cut off all contact.” She hugged Mac again, “I’m glad you’re here, goodnight Mac.” She went to her bedroom, Mac was sleeping on the couch.

Yea, he is, well here comes next updat :d last tonight.

Chapter 29:

It had been a week since Mac visited, she still missed him, alot. His visit had made her realise that Boston wasn’t a place for her, she belonged in New York.

“Hey Mac.” She had called him 2 times since the visit, she was glad to have contact with him again.
“I’ve thought things through, this whole thing was a huge mistake.” She took a deep breath, “We’re coming back, back to New York.”

She heard Mac laugh, “You are?” She smiled to her self, “Yes, we are. Can we stay with you until we find out own place? It wont be for long.” Mac took a deep breath, “Of course you can, so when are you coming back?” She looked at Angelina, she smiled as Stella continued, “Tonight.”

“I can hardly wait,”...

The next morning:

“Ready to go back to the lab?” Mac smiled, “Just as you know, i haven’t told the others that you are back.” Stella smiled, “You kidding me? I’ve been looking forward to this since you told me i could have my old job back!”

Mac laughed, “I thought so, they all miss you.” She looked at him, “I’m so nervous.” He placed his hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry Stella. You know them.”

At the lab:

She was sitting on Macs desk, her nerves were killing her, she had abandoned her friends, career, everything, now she was back, hoping for a second chance.

“Stella, don’t worry. I’m sure they’ll be glad to see you.” Mac smiled, easy for him, he didn’t have the feeling to have bailed on everybody he cared about.

She turned around to look out the door, then she saw them, every one of her friends, coming walking down the hallway towards the office, carrying Balloons and flowers.

“Welcome back Stella!” They were all smiling as they went into the office, she turned to Mac, “I thought you said no one knew?” He laughed, “surprise.

Sid handed her the flowers, “Its great to have you back Stella.” She hugged him, “It’s great to be back.” She felt a tear run down her cheek, for the first time in 3 months she felt really appreciated.

“Come here!” Flack hugged her, and so did the rest of the team.. After all the hugs and greetings, she just felt so happy. “ Hey Stella,” Mac smiled, he handed her, her badge and her gun. She could barely wait to get to work.
