CSI:NY The story of a true hero.

I hope this will be fixing enough for you :p

Chapter 23:

“What?!?” Lindsay’s voice was loud and frustrated, Danny looked at her with chock in his eyes, knowing that Lindsay wouldn’t react like that if it wasn’t serious.

“We’ll be there as soon as possible!” Lindsay looked at Danny, he wrapped his arms around her.

“Mac and Stella, they were… it’s… Stella is at the hospital… She’s shot, Mac doesn’t know how serious it is.” Lindsay took a deep breath, still having tears running down her face.

“What happened?” Danny felt the anxiety take over as Lindsay looked at him.

“They were going to the new theme park, on their way they stopped for pizza, they were just about to get dessert as Mac heard shots, Stella was shot, just like everyone else in the restaurant, except Mac, for what ever reason, he wasn’t shot.”

“Oh my god, we will have to book a flight immediately, I’ll do that, you, go talk to your mom.” Danny rushed out the room, knowing that he would probably have to book 3 tickets as Lindsay’s mom, Annabella, would probably insist on going with them.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“She’s been in and out of surgery all night, they don’t know anything for sure yet. Sorry Linds, I should have taken better care of her.” Lindsay noticed the tears running down Macs face, she decided to sit down next to him, held her arm around him.

“It’s not your fault Mac, you know that.” No more words needed to be said, because Lindsay knew that Mac wouldn’t realise that it wasn’t his fault, not yet.

He would feel the exact same way she did, when Stella was hit by a car, even though she didn’t know that she was going to die from it.

“Excuse me? Are you the family of Stella Monroe Messer?” The doctor looked at them, with a smile on her face.

As Danny and Lindsay nodded, she started, “She’s gonna be just fine, she’s a though one, but honestly, I don’t know how on earth she made it. If I were religious I would say that it was god really wants this little girl to live.” The doctor smiled.

“Not god… Stella.” Lindsay mumbled, only loud enough for Danny to hear it. They both looked up, like they were looking towards heaven, knowing that if there were anything divine about their daughters survival, Stella was involved.

“Well, you can go see her now, but she’s not awake yet.” The doctor nodded down the hallway, as a sign for them, that she was in that direction.

“Here you go. Brought some coffee for all of ya.” Lindsay’s mother smiled, even though Lindsay could easily see the worries through her mothers eyes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Hey Kiddo.” Mac stroked the little girls hair, still waiting for her to wake up.

“Detective.” Annabella looked at him, smiled. “How are you doing?”

“I’m alright, a little shaken up though.” He smiled, as he once again looked at Stella.

“It must’ve been hard to face the risk of losing this Stella as well.” Annabella regretted her words immediately. “Sorry detective, It wasn’t… I’m very straight forward, but I guess you’ve noticed that.”

Mac smiled, “It’s Mac, and I kinda got the feeling that you were very… honest..” They laughed, Mac hadn’t met Annabella before, but Lindsay had told him that she could be a challenge.

*clearing my throat* I started to think you have a issue to all the Stellas related Mac.

No worries, I wouldn't kill my little star of the fic would i? I think I've killed Stella's enough... Here comes the next update.. I know it's short, but I'm headed to town, so i dont have time to make it longer.. :D

Chapter 24:

“How’s the little angel?” Adam smiled, “Look what we brought for you…” He gave Stella a cute teddy bear, or, it wasn’t a bear, more like a mouse or something.

“Thanks you.” Stella hugged him carefully, she was still experiencing a little pain.

“Hi Stella, you remember me, My name is Rebecca.” Rebecca smiled, so did Stella, even though the little girl was a little dazed and confused, she seemed to remember her.

“Becca!” She laughed, happy as always.

Stella hugged Rebecca too before she started playing with her gift.

“how about you Mac, how are you holding up?” Rebecca looked at him, he smiled, “I’m alright.” Even thought he was still pretty shaken up, he decided to keep that a secret.

“Still chocked huh? Must’ve been terrible, seeing someone shoot an innocent 3-year old girl, in cold blood.” Rebecca smiled, she had an ability, just like his Stella had had, to see right through people, when they weren’t exactly honest.

“A little, but I’m glad she’s alright.” Mac smiled, looked at Stella and Adam, who were, as usually, goofing around.

“Mac?” Stella giggled, “We’s not going to themepark?” She looked at him, with a slightly disappointed look in her eyes.

“Not today, but I promise you, we will as soon as you are fit for fight okay?” He smiled, so did Stella, “Adam and Becca go too?”

“Sure Stella, if they want to.” He stroked the little girls hair, he loved that little girl very much.

Here's a new update for ya.

Chapter 25:

“You’re all healed up now Stella.” The doctor smiled, “you are going to have a little battle scar, but every police officer has that right?”

Stella laughed loud and looked at Danny, “I’m has a real police scar!”

“Yes you do Honey.” Danny picked his daughter up, she was so fantastic.

”I’m be police like yous and Mommy and Mac and Don.” She giggled, still smiling form one ear to another.

“When you grow up you can sweetie.” Danny smiled as he thanked doctor Green and carried his daughter down the ward, even though she was old enough to walk herself.

Looking down the hallway to the waiting room, he saw Lindsay stand and wait for them.

“hey Honey, how did it go?” Danny asked her, smiling, before he kissed her, Lindsay smiled just as much as the rest of them.

“You know what Stella? You are going to be a big-sister!” Lindsay laughed as Stella jumped out of her dads arms and ran around a little in joy, jumping and giggling, before she spotted her doctor not far from there.

“Doctor! Yous know what?” Stella giggled, as the doctor shook her head Stella smiled, “I’m be a big sister!”

“You do? That is wonderful, congratulations.” She said before she smiled and went further down the hallway to see her other patients.

“Mommy! Nows I can go to themepark with Mac?” Stella smiled, so did Lindsay, “Why don’t we call him when we come home?”

Of course she is, those two are inseparable.

Oh my, you guys caught up with me, this is the last finished chapter i have on my computer, i guess i know what I'm going to spend my sunday doing :D

Chapter 26:

“Are you ready Bec?” Adam smiled as Rebecca yelled from the bedroom, “Almost.”

“Okay, hurry, coz I don’t think Stella can wait.” They were going to the themepark with her and Mac, Stella hadn’t spoken about anything else, according to Danny.

“Okay, okay, just wait a second.” Rebecca giggled, before she stepped out from her bedroom.

“Too much?” She asked with a shy look on her face, wearing a cute and charming summer dress.

“No, no not at all. You look great.” Adam smiled, felt the heat go to his cheeks as Rebecca kissed him, even though they had been together for a couple of months, this was still very new to him.

“Adam, you’re blushing…” She giggled before she took his hand and they left her apartment in a hurry, Stella would probably be killing Mac right now.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“They be here soon?” Stella asked, looking at Mac with an impatient look.

“Stella, calm down sweetie, they’ll be here anytime.” Mac had his hands full, standing at the parking lot with Stella, waiting for Adam and Rebecca.

“But I’m not wait!” She stamped in the ground, Mac picked up the little girl and started tickling her.

“Noo! Macs, you…” Stella giggled, “Yous… too.. Strong…” Still giggling, Stella spotted Adam and Rebecca headed towards them.

“Adam…Becca!” She laughed, as Mac stopped tickling her and put her down.

The little girl sprinted to them as fast as her legs could carry her, “Adam!” She laughed as he lifted her up and hugged her.

“Hey there Princess, What’s up?” Adam smiled, Stella had a huge grin on her face, “I’m soon be big sister!”

“You are? congrats.” Adam smiled, so did Mac, he didn’t exactly know that but, well now he did.

“Well, are you ready to go Stel?” Rebecca smiled, Mac guessed that she already knew what the answer would be.

“Yea!” Stella laughed as they walked towards the entrance.

Of course little Stella wants to be a police officer when she grows up, like Stella.. :D

Okay, I'm going to go a little past the borders of what i would call reality in the next storyline, but i hope you will be fine with it:D

Chapter 27:

As Lindsay entered the kindergarten she heard her daughter scream, a loud, terrified scream, reacting by instinct Lindsay rushed to the playroom, seeing one of the boys chasing her with a plastic gun.

“Bobby! Quit that!” The pedagogue looked at the little boy who instantly left the room, hysterical because he couldn’t tease Stella.

Stella started crying, she hadn’t seen that Lindsay was there.

“Honey, come here.” Lindsay looked at Stella, the little girl rushed to her and cuddled close to her chest.

“Ssch baby, it’s okay, it was just a toy, it wasn’t real.” She whispered, kissing her daughters hair, still holding her tight.

“I’m sorry about that Miss Monroe, we’ve already told the parents not to let their kids bring toy weapons to the kindergarten, just for a while, until Stella feels a little more safe again.” The pedagogue had an apologising look on her face.

“That’s okay, it has been 3 months, I honestly thought she would be a little more prepared, but she’s just a little girl.” Lindsay lifted her daughter, still stroking her hair, trying to comfort her.

“Well, have a nice weekend.” The pedagogue smiled, before she turned to look after the rest of the kids.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opening the door the empty apartment, Mac dropped his keys on the table, closed the door behind him, before he went to take a shower.

Stripping out of his clothes and walking into the shower, feeling the spray hit his face, he allowed the tears to stream down his cheeks again.

Feeling all hope leave his heart, he slammed his fist against the wall, sometimes, he had no idea why he even kept on fighting, the pain always caught up with him, Stella was a person he would never get over losing, she was the best friend he had ever had, he would never find a friend like her ever again.

Mac still blamed himself, for not telling Stella about his feelings before, for not kissing her for the first time, one of the days where they shared a real Mac and Stella moment.

Knowing that no matter how much he cried, no matter how much he prayed, she would never return to him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mac felt a warm, gentle stroke on his cheek, the minute he opened his eyes, he knew that what he saw, wasn’t reality, a dream, nothing more.

“4 years soon huh?” Stella smiled, “It’s been so long Mac.”

He sat up, held his arms around her, she felt so warm, so soft, and real, but he knew she wasn’t.

“I miss you Stella.” He looked her in the eyes, there was something about them, an honesty, something so pure, that it planted doubt in his mind, was this real in some way?

“I miss you too Mac, every single day, I watch you live your life, how you and little Stella are getting along, how my sister and Adam are happy, planning on haven their own family, Danny and Lindsay, with their soon growing family.” She smiled, there was something about her smile, that told him that she was perfectly aware that he didn’t know about Adam and Rebecca.

“Stella needs you know Mac, she’s going through a harder time than you think. Dont let her go through it on her own..."
