CSI:NY The story of a true hero.

Exactly, they have a magic relationship those to, well here's the next update.

Chapter 11:

Mac held his Stellas hand tight, letting her know every second, that he wouldn’t leave her.

It was December 24th, Christmas eve, they should’ve been at Danny and Lindsay’s, having a good time, instead they were there, Mac sitting in his chair next to her, holding her hand, feeling the tears run down his cheek, each and every one reminding him, that his Stella would be gone soon.

Looking at her chest moving up and down peacefully, while she was smiling in her sleep, Mac thought about the day, Danny had called him, and told him that Stella had been hit by a car.

It wasn’t until he looked Stella in the eyes, and she told him, that she was dying, that he realised that it was true, that she was leaving him alone in a cold and mean world.

“Hey Mac, how is she doing?” Danny came walking in, wheeling Lindsay in front of him, Lindsay was holding a little baby.

“Sleeping, when was that little miracle born?” He looked at the little baby. Lindsay smiled, “She was born an hour ago.”

Mac looked at Stella, carefully kissed her hand. “Stella? Honey, wake up?” He smiled as she looked him in the eyes.

She sat up slowly, she was so pale, looking so fragile and scared.

“Aww, you had your baby?” Stella smiled, Lindsay handed her the little girl, Stella held her close to her chest.

“Stella, We’ve been wanting to ask you something..” Danny started, but Lindsay took over, “We want our little daughter to have a name she can be proud of, so, we wanted to name her Stella, if you wont mind.”

Mac saw how a tear was running down Stellas cheek, “I’d be honoured to have your daughter named after me.” Stella stroked the little girls cheek before she handed her back to Lindsay.

“Welcome to the world, Stella Monroe Messer.” Lindsay looked at her daughter, Mac felt a tear running down his cheek, both because he was touched by the fact that they would name their daughter after his Stella.

But mostly because Danny and Lindsay had their Stella, and she wasn’t going anywhere, but he would soon have to say goodbye to his Stella.

Stella noticed that he was sad, “Mac… I know this is hard…” She kissed him passionately on his lips, making him feel a little better, but as soon as the kiss ended, he was feeling all alone and empty again.

”I love you Stella, more than anything in the whole world.” Mac looked her in the eyes, he didn’t care that Danny and Lindsay were still there.

“I love you too Mac, and I’m sorry that we’ll never get to build a life together, it hurts so much, when I think about the fact that we’re not going to have a family.” Stella had a sad, but dreaming look in her eyes.

Okay, next part, i warn you, do not read this in public places, and do not kill me for writing it, thanks..

Chapter 12:

Mac stroked Stellas cheek, felt the warmth, kissed her forehead, before he once again sat down next to her just holding her hand, watching her chest move up and down.

He thought about everything they had been through as friends, how she time after time saved his life, and was there for him through every hard moment he had ever had.

How she had needed his support after Frankie tried to kill her, through the time, she feared she was HIV positive, through everything, just the two of them, best friends for better and for worse.

“I love you Stella Bonasera, and through the rest of my life, I’ll miss you, think about you, never forget what a true friend you were to me…” He whispered, looking at Stellas chest that was now moving slower and slower, then not at all.

“If there’s a god somewhere up there, please, please take good care of my Stella for me.” Mac felt the tears run down his cheeks, he felt how his heart was filling with pain, sorrow, darkness.

He kissed Stellas hand, knowing that she wouldn’t feel it, she wouldn’t feel his presence, she wouldn’t feel anything, not anymore.

He called for a nurse, to tell them, that… that his Stella had passed away in her sleep.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walking down the hallway that seemed never ending, Mac finally reached the room, where Lindsay was staying over night.

“Lindsay?” Mac knocked carefully at the door, “Are you awake?” It was quiet for a few seconds until he heard Lindsay yawned.

“I am now Mac…” There was nothing judgemental over her voice, only the fear he knew she would feel right now.

“She’s gone… She passed away in her sleep about an hour ago.” Mac looked at Lindsay, he saw a tear run down her cheek.

He went to her bed, hugged her, feeling her hold her arms around him, made Mac feel a little better, but his best friend, and the woman he truly loved was gone, gone forever, never to return.

“No, please Mac, tell me she isn’t gone.” Mac felt Lindsay shiver, Stella and Lindsay were so close, and he guessed that Lindsay was still feeling guilt, because Stella saved her and the baby.

“Sorry Lindsay, I…” He was about to continued, but he had no idea what he could possibly say, his heart was empty, except from the pain he was feeling.

I know, I've been crying off the hook when writing that chapter, rewriting, changing editing. Well, next update, from me, i really hope i can keep this fic going I have so many ideas..

For all of you who really adore Adam, like i do :D..

Chapter 13:

Adam was sitting in the already creepy hospital morgue, guarding one of the persons he cared about the most, he felt the sorrow fill his heart, he had loved her, not the way Mac did, but Stella was, well, she had been there for him, every time he needed her, she was his big-sister in the department.

He stroked her cheek, just to touch her soft angelic skin one more time, saying goodbye to a loved one, was never easy, but he had never imagined that he would have to say goodbye to Stella.

“Hey Stella, I know you cant hear me anymore, and believe me, I regret deeply that I didn’t come by the hospital to say goodbye before it was too late, but I just couldn’t… I wouldn’t let myself accept that… that this was happening.” He took a deep breath, felt a tear run over his nose.

“I know you’ll be there to watch over us, like an angel, sitting on a white cloud, protecting us the best you can, like you’ve always been…” Adam wiped a tear of his cheek, “…As much as it hurts, to see you lie there, knowing that I wont hear our laughter when I do my silly dance at the lab, or see you roll your eyes at me, when I’m not making sense… I knew that when it came to this, you would ultimately choose a loved ones life, over your own. Because that’s who you are, you are a hero, a guarding angel over us all Stella.”

Crying even more, Adam took Stella’s lifeless hand, held it tight, “You’re my hero Stella, know that. Because what ever happens, you will always be remembered as a true hero.”

Adam placed Stella’s hand carefully back on the table, but as he got up and turned to leave, he saw Flack stand in the door, the tears were streaming down his cheeks too.

“That was so sweet.” Flack smiled, Adam felt that he blushed a little bit, but he pulled himself together and looked Flack in the eyes.

“I miss her so much already, you know?” Adam took a deep breath, Flack padded his shoulder, “I know Adam, she was a very special person. Things will never ever be the same without her.”

“It wont, she’s unique, I don’t know anyone else, that would through her- or himself out in front of a car to save someone else’s life just like that.” Adam smiled, Stella was a hero. “Not knowing that there’s no way the car could avoid him or her.”

“You know Adam, I think what was most important to Stella in that moment, was the baby, she has her entire life on front of her now, thanks to Stella.” Flack smiled, Adam nodded.

“I’ll give you some space, I assume you’re here to say goodbye as well?” Adam sobbed at the word goodbye.

Flack nodded, “I loved her you know, she was one of my best friends.”

Maybe i should post one last update tonight? Ah alright, i cant help myself anyways, i love posting :D

Here you go... (this is one of my personal favorite chapters i've written so far, and I'm way past chapter 25 in ms word.)

Chapter 14:

“WHY?” Mac looked at the dark sky, filled with shiny stars, stars that he usually loved watching, but tonight, they were just another painful reminder of what he’d lost.

“WHY DID YOU TAKE HER AWAY FROM ME?!” Mac yelled, waving his arms threatening at the sky.

He looked down, the building he lived in was actually pretty high, especially watching from the roof.

“WHY HER?!” He continued his yelling, the higher he yelled, the better he felt, knowing that the comfort from yelling was only temporary, he kept yelling, he couldn’t stop, it wasn’t fair.

“SHE’S NEVER HURT ANYONE! ALL SHE DID WAS SAVING A FRIEND AND A BABY!” Mac knew that all his questions wouldn’t be answered, but he felt empty, and hopeless without her.

“WHYY?” He felt the tears strangle his voice, he just couldn’t yell anymore, he just gave in, dumped himself on the cold roof, feeling the cold win surround him, he didn’t care, he was just laying there, feeling the faith disappear, faith in god, faith in science, faith in life.

Mac closed his eyes, but all he saw was Stella’s face, her smile, her green eyes, and her gorgeous brown curls waving in the wind.

He wished, that when he opened his eyes, she would be sitting next to him, that it would all just be a bad dream, but he knew that it was true, that it was no dream, his Stella were gone.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Mac…” He heard Danny’s voice, but ignored it.

“Come on Mac, you cant stay out here, you’ll get ill.” Danny sat down next to him, just looked at him, waiting for him to come to his senses.

“I just need to be alone Danny, that’s all.” Mac knew his voice wasn’t exactly convincing, but he didn’t care, all he wanted, was to be left alone.

“No, Mac, you lost Stella less than 4 hours ago, you definitely don’t need to be alone, you need to be everything but alone.” Danny sounded just as sad as everyone else Mac had spoken to, but they all missed her already.

“I cant go on without her Danny… When Claire died, she was there for me…” Mac took a deep breath, “Now she’s gone too.”

“I know this is horribly hard Mac, trust me, I miss her too, but neither I, Lindsay or any other of your friends, will let you go through this alone.”

My heart's gone with Stella. :( Poor Mac! Although Danny and the others will be there for him, he would never be the same. :(

Just to avoid confusing anyone, this is a whole year later ( the story about Mac dealing with his feelings is the same as with Claire, he simply doesn't deal with them, it has to come later on, as in the start of the show, he hadn't dealt with it yet, and it had been three years..)

Chapter 15:

“You see Kiddo? This is were a real hero is laying.” Mac smiled at the little girl he was holding, she pointed at the grave.

“Tella!” Mac laughed quietly at the little girls attempt to say the name.

“That’s right, this is were Stella Bonasera is laying, she’s a true hero.” Mac felt a tear run down his cheek, it was now a whole year since he had said goodbye to his Stella Bonasera.

“I miss you love, I really do.” Mac placed the bouquet of red roses, that he had bought for Stella, on the grave before he turned away.

Wiped a tear of his cheek with his free hand, “What do you say we go home to me and get ready for Christmas eve? I’m sure your mommy and daddy will be there soon.” Mac hugged his little princess before he placed her in the stroller again.

They were headed to his place, to prepare a real Christmas dinner for the 4 of them, Danny and Lindsay had decided to celebrate Christmas with him, in stead of flying to Montana as they had planned, but Lindsay had made a promise to his Stella before she died; That she would be there for him, and that she wouldn’t let him be alone.

It still made him feel a little better thinking about how Stella made sure that he wouldn’t be alone after he had passed away.

It wasn’t only his life Stella had thought about before she passed away, she had left all her savings for Stella Monroe Messer, so that she could have a bright future.

There was a little more than 25.000$, how on earth Stella could’ve saved up that incredible amount of money was a true mystery to him, but he was glad that little Stella would have those money to secure her life for her.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mac looked at the picture of Stella he had hanging on his entrance wall right above her badge, that she had written in her will that he should have, like a badge of honour, she had already fixed it with the chief, that he would be allowed to have it, before she died.

“Stella? What are you up to?” Mac laughed as he heard a quiet giggling from the living room. He walked laughing to the living room to see Stella chew happily on a piece of candy from the plate on the table he had set ready for Christmas eve.

“You really do remind me of Stella, you know?” He smiled, “Well okay then, it is your birthday after all,”

Mac went back to the bedroom to fetch the little girls birthday present, most people would’ve combined birthday and Christmas present, but he felt that the little girl deserved both a birthday present and a Christmas present.

He opened his closet and grabbed the neatly wrapped present from the top shelf, and headed back to the living room.

“Honey? This one is for you.” Mac smiled as he watched the little girl rip the paper off the gift.

Before Mac could see the girls reaction to the huge teddy bear he had bought her, he heard the doorbell.

He went to open, and was met by a smiling Danny, and a Lindsay who was all hidden behind presents.

“Merry Christmas Mac, thanks for looking after Stella while we were finishing our last-minute shopping.” Danny lifted his daughter, that had greeted them the minute she heard their voices, high over his head.

“Always a pleasure to look after that little girl.” Mac smiled and showed his guests inside…

It feels strange when Danny thanked Mac for taking care of 'his Stella'. :) I mean, we all know that Stella was Mac's woman. But this Stella is Danny's daughter.

I know it is a little weird writing it as well, but you'll see that Stella Bonasera is mainly referred to as his Stella (when it's Mac) Or otherwise you will see that it is like "When Stella was alive" or "Stella used to say/do"

New little Stella will be referred to as Stella, or sometimes little Stella :D

Chapter 16:

“Hey Don, what’ve we got?” Mac looked from Don to the vic, before he looked at Don again.

“Female victim, mid thirties, tied up, several knife wounds both to the chest and stomach.” Don looked at the vic, while trying to count how many stab wounds.

“Who discovered the body?” Saying those exact words, made Mac think of the day in that high-school science lab where him and Stella had asked that exact question synchronic, she had been so beautiful when she turned around that quickly, her curls waving around her head.

“Her best friend, he came to check up on her, because she hadn’t been at work, he found her like this.” Don looked at Mac with a look saying he knew what he was thinking.

And he probably was, the first thought that came to his mind, was finding Stella, after Frankie had tried to kill her.

“Candlelight dinner, roses, my first guess would be a boyfriend.” Mac felt his heart sting again, as he had done so many times before, thinking about how much his Stella had needed him after the Frankie-case, and again before she died, and how much he needed her now, a whole year later…

“Where’s her best friend?” Mac looked around, Don pointed at a crying young man, sitting on the floor in the hallway just outside the apartment.

“Robbie Smith… He’s very upset.”

“I’ll go talk to him.” He turned around and went to the hallway and simply sat down on the floor next to him.

“Hi, my name is det. Mac Taylor, I need to talk to you about Diana…” Mac started, Robbie looked at him.

“She’s just the kind of person that makes every day worth living.” He started, but broke down to tears immediately.

“It’s okay..” Mac placed his hand on Robbies shoulder, “I know what you’re going through.”

Robbie looked up, “I doubt it, Diana was really special, unique, she was a friend I don’t think I can live without.”

Mac smiled, compassionately, a smile he had used a lot. “The kind of person that’s always there for you when you need a friend, a person you can joke with, and knows that she only has to call you, if she needs you. The kind of person that makes you want to get up in the morning and go to work, a person that puts your friendship in front of everything else. And when you are having a hard time, she doesn’t have to do anything but smile, then you know that you’ll always have a friend right beside you…”

Mac looked at Robbie knowing that he had his full attention, Robbie had a surprised look on his face, “Exactly, do you have that kind of friend?”

Mac took a deep breath, “I had… A little more than a year ago, she threw herself out in front of a car, to save one of our friends, who was 7 months pregnant at the time. She was hit by the car, damaged her heart… She died from a weak heart 1½ month later…”

Mac felt a tear in the corner of his eye, “Even now that she’s gone, I have a feeling that she’s still around somehow, watching me and our friends.” He smiled, “But as I said, I know what you’re going through.”
