Ha, latest on the CSINY twitterwagon, can guess having some of the others on may have swayed matters
. Well. To be fair. I suppose it would also be a great thing for him to have/do while on the road with concerts and charity events.
BTW, I saw this on TVGuide.com...
May 26, CBS
Look for another maddening cliff-hanger as Shane Casey (guest star Edward Furlong) strikes again. His targets: Danny and Lindsay. "The season finale will involve a big, big event for Danny and Lindsay," executive producer Pam Veasey says. "It's something that will make [viewers] go, 'Oh my goodness!' That will be their response." Adds cast member Hill Harper about Casey's plans: "This is such a genius way of showing how diabolical he really is. You never know what he's going to do, and that is revealed in a very dangerous way."
"...Maddening" is about right
.
I really do hope Casey's back to his old diabolical, dangerous self. So far he's been anything but unpredictable. If the cliffhanger's to have any hope of a decent way to spend an hour, he's gotta be what drives it. There's no perilous peril w/o it, and nothing to be left hanging about
Anything more on the ‘CSI: NY‘ finale besides Danny, Lindsay and Baby Lucy in peril? – Clarisse
What, like a B-story in which Mac debates which lady friend to take to Papaya King? Make no mistake, the Messers are the main attraction on May 26.

Oh how delightful. :shifty:. Was hoping it would be a focused ep, but more on Casey and less on DL drama. More on the badge and the whole drawn out plan to escape and less on awaiting the grand chase up the lighthouse
.
Also glad there's confirmation that Mac's personal stuff is self-contained in 6.22. At least they're handling that pointedly.
All of this cliffhanger nonsense is a little silly. Didn't we all predict when the baby was born that the writers were going to do a baby-kidnapping episode and we all hoped they wouldn't do it. And now here there they go doing it.
Yep. Not like like we didn't see that a'coming
. Though to be fair again I'm not certain that know for sure Lucy is kidnapped, just that she's included in the Peril of Casey's vengeance.
I seriously doubt that anything (death, major injury) is going to happen to Danny because he had his fair share of attention for injury this season.
Hmm. Ya know, it could actually be an interesting bookend to the season, to have had him start off gravely injured and then end up in danger again. I doubt the show will push that (or would follow it up for more than four eps in S7 if they did, given the 10% thing :lol
but ya never know. I suppose I'm seeking out anything that offeres a wee glimmer of interest with regards to a DL cliffhanger at all
.
As for Lucy. Hope the show doesn't go there, at least not in a permanent way. I'd hope the fact Lucy is included at all means things could become more complicated for and between Danny and Lindsay next season after the dust has settled, but somehow I also think the show will continue to present DL as the Uber-united front couple with no issues at all.
Something else that strikes me. They're both equally culpable to a point with the badge business. Lindsay never gets called out on anything. (Even Flack didn't include her in his nose-outta-joint convo with Danny, and Stella never said a word. We'll see how it plays out with Mac). I'm still thinking that DL will be portrayed as sympathetic with no liability issues for running about the city for several months with no police ID and a legit badge floating about to be abused by whomever. I digress. My point. Is that Danny has been seriously waning as a character. And I'd hate to see him absorbed into Lindsay's realm of rarely being held to account. I fear and dread this for S7 as much as a cliffhanger devoted to the loving Messer couple at all
.
I see everyone is in the new episode tonight and It seems to me Danny and Hawkes have switched roles as far as screen time. Except for the beginning of the season Hawkes is featured abit more prominant this season or am I imagining this? I guess it really stuck out to me when I saw Danny coming through the door with Lindsey(of course) and Adam in the promo.
I hadn't noticed, really. So much as I didn't think Danny was being glossed over, only that Hawkes has finally been brought up to the same level of screentime and interaction as everyone else. The ones I'd noticed a dearth of this season were Sid and Adam, and while Lindsay was noticeably around less, when she was it was certainly not subtle, and so for me her presence felt largely the same .
Your right Lori K Hawkes was everywhere this year and personaly I think it was too much it's not that I don't like him but come on
he is praticly on all scene outside with the body. I can anderstand at the begining of the season Danny was in the wheelchair
but now ???? and tonight episode he is still there
While I did expect more out of the injury storyline for Danny, I didn't think that Hawkes was at all overdone with only two specific episodes devoted to him in particular. I liked how he was used more in other eps that weren't about him. After five years it's about damned time
.
Personally, I think it's better to have (awesome) Hawkes around than having (annoying, stupid, *insert negative word here*) Mac shoved up in my face with his crap.
Personally I think it's better to have AwesomeHawkes around and Mac around (whether you find him challenging or not) than to have a *insert either positive or negative word here* DL cliffhanger served up and highlighted on a platter, after a season six that lulled me into a false sense of post-S5-DL-DLL-oversaturation-detox . DL has gotten far less screentime this season, but the mallets are ever present wherever they go. Just in case we've forgotten that they're together and all. DL is supposed to be a whiz-bang way to close the season? Mebbe if Casey is good. DL is supposed to tide my interest over the summer months? ...right. Well. Don't think so. All just IMO of course
