CSI: NY Season 5 Spoiler Discussion--Drama in Alphabet City!

I think it will probably be Danny. There's some moment in the finale where Lindsay is worrying about him...and as we all saw in "Point of No Return," Danny really does put himself in danger.

Not to mention, Danny being in danger will affect everyone, especially Flack. I could see it really causing Flack to spring into action. He's already lost his girlfriend--he's not going to lose his best friend, too.

Color me jaded, but I think they're going to make some crazy tortured childbirth danger "twist" and make it Lindsay. From what I've read, her going into labor is going to be cliched enough -- although the friend of mine who had her baby last week had a cliche labor, but I digress... -- so why not throw in this additional mess?

Maybe, but I really hope not...unless they're going to kill her off, in which case, bring it on. I think a lot has been foreshadowed with Danny, and I suspect he'll do something really stupid and pay for it this time.

I'm sure Lindsay will be all ready to bitch him out when he wakes up from the coma, though.

Yeah, I guess we have seen Danny do some particularly stupidly reckless stuff recently. One would think that impending doom/fatherhood would make him value his hide more, but apparently this is not the case.

I agree: she will nag him to death about not being there for the birth of Montana Carmina Anna Claire Messer.

Well, Danny considered Clemenza or whatever, so Forensica wouldn't be too far off. :p

BTW, the talk about 'another CSI' doesn't mean anything. Let's not forget that the episode description for "Snow Day" talked about two of the CSIs being held hostage, and the description for "Charge of This Post" said a CSI was rushed to surgery. Adam and Flack aren't CSIs. (Also, the press releases have been just plain wrong before.)

haha, Clemenza just makes me think of that one "good" demon on Buffy that they called Clem. I can't remember what his full name was. Isn't there a medicine called Clemenza or something similiar? What does it even mean?

I think those releases almost always refer to all characters as "CSIs" because that's in the name of the show. Although, the cbs one for Vegas' finale referred to Langston as "Detective Langston".

"Forensica" would be an awesome name, but she might get teased on the playground, giving daddy Danny a reason to spring into action. Imagining that amuses me.

Anyway, as for the spoiler saying "another CSI," I don't think it necessarily means that multiple CSIs are threatened in the episode. It might just mean that, yet again, a CSI's life is in danger... or that the writers refer to all of the main characters as CSIs. I really hope it's the former, though, because the latter just makes them look stupider than usual.

Then again, using Anna Belknap's name in their summary sets the bar pretty low.

Looks like we were wrong about Angell!

Question: Any scoop on who is going to die on CSI: NY? Is it someone shown in the opening credits? -- Carissa
Ausiello:
Yes. And as exec producer Pam Veasey reveals, in addition to the death "something happens to someone else. There will be a life-changing experience for another character." Veasey declined to say whether that something was good or bad, although she did offer what could be a clue: "We really want to have a hopeful and heroic start to next season. It'll be really positive, fun, and spirited."

Question: I'm happy Lindsay's returning to CSI: NY next month, but do we know for a fact Anna Belknap ever gave birth? I searched high and low on the Interwebs but I can't find any info about it. --Claire
Ausiello:
That's probably because there's no info to be found -- until now! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Anna gave birth to her second child, son George, on Feb. 6. (You're welcome, Google.)

Interesting. That "Yes" could be in answer to the first question, though, since the person did ask if he had any scoop on who is going to die on CSI: NY. I hope they're not going to move Angell to the opening credits just to kill her off. There was another show that did that--maybe Buffy the Vampire Slayer when Tara died? That would be cheap.

I wonder if the "life-changing experience" is that promotion people were speculating Mac might get.

Awww, that's cool. I have a very good friend named George. :D

OMG!!!! I wonder if that is accurate? I would love it if it's not Angell!!!!! Of course now I'm wondering who bites the dust. Hawkes maybe?

I pondered over the question of whether Ausiello's YES was to the first question or the second and if it's for the first, it makes no sense. That would have him saying YES, I have scoop on who's going to die. If so, his answer doesn't reveal anything BUT if he's saying YES, the person who dies is in the opening credits, then that makes more sense but who knows.

If it's not Angell, then I have a new respect for tptb for keeping this such a big secret.
