B-but, flashy technology is HIP!
Are we thinking dolls like in "Sex, Lies and Silicone", or dolls like in "City of the Dolls"? (Although the guy in "City of the Dolls" was a doll doctor, not a doll maker. And the guy in "Down the Rabbit Hole" made a doll of himself for the victim.)GregNickRyanFan said:
Faylinn, I think maybe I was thinking of the doll maker. Wasn't there an ep with a doll maker?
I just came across this article. Here's an excerpt:
Imagine if you were trying to solve a crime and the man who could blow the case wide open couldn't speak.
Not a word.
Sounds like an episode of "CSI" or something, right?
Well, yes and no.
On Wednesday night, "CSI: NY" will broadcast an episode that includes such a man. He communicates with the outside world by blinking at a computer screen to spell out words and sentences.
...
Fredlund is the founder of Voice for Joanie, a nonprofit organization that makes computer-assisted speech machines available for free. In fact, she was a consultant for Wednesday night's "CSI" episode.
"It started out with an e-mail from 'CSI' about two months ago," she said. "They saw my Web site (www.VoiceForJoanie.org) and wanted to know more about my work.
"We spoke on the telephone probably five or six times. I remember they asked, 'What if we needed to get information from this man?' They wanted to make sure everything they did was accurate."
I'm not liking how NY is becoming the 'Technology' show. Can't we just stick to crime solving with good ol' forensic techniques? And not using a computer for every single scene?
I definitely agree that this is an interesting inclusion of technology - versus the random databases they have for everything or the convenient piece of equipment that can precisely figure out exactly what they need to know about some rare piece of evidence.
Oh, Flack/Angell and wow she cuffed him to the bed.
Heads up a longer sneak peak at tomorows ep

Hmm, I still can't really get over the whole 'they've put them together because they look good' thing with these two. I like them, but there's just something missing, the scene doesn't quite sizzle as I'd like it to (or as I think it should do).
Maybe it's partly because I know what's coming up in the finale, and it seems a little too engineered to make sure people are attached to Angell before it all goes pear shaped.
Aside from that, Flack's apartment is dull, dull, dull. Obviously Angell is too busy cuffing him to the bed to notice but he could certainly do with a little something to brighten the place up.
I was wondering what you were talking about when you mentioned Angell cuffing Flack to the bed, Top. I haven't watched the clip - I'll probably wait until the episode airs to see what's going on.
