  Do you realise the looks I am getting because Im having to go to the library to get internet while mum fixes mine?! Everyone keeps looking at me because I am literally doubled over in my chair laughing out loud! lol

You, my dear, have walked into the Criminal Minds thread. We're the most groovy and uh... thing thing thread on Talk CSI. We also have a speciality in ancient French literature and puzzle solving. Woohoo!

Oh, and we're a bunch of sexual deviants, regardless of what Fay is denying she's into this week. And I'm blocking any thoughts of Mandy and the boobahs now, my therapist said I had to in order to prevent me screaming in toy stores. So there.

I keep meaning to read the damn "Collector" book, considering the fuss I went through to get it and WHY I bought it. I still haven't read it yet. *hangs head in shame* Has anyone actually read it?

Im going to read the Collector but I need to wait for the library to get it in! lol it sounds like a good book tho

Hey, I like Owen Wilson, but Gube's hair out-acted him. They evidently need a special Oscar or something for awesome hairdos which contribute to the film itself. Actually, Gube needs another award for his hair on CM. His hair is just generally awesome. Is there a Nobel Prize for hair?
This had me lol to lol In fact, anyone who enters this thread is just gonna turn round and leave again, because we are starting to be very random!!! lol fine with me tho, I need some random-ness over teh Gube whilst thinking thoughts of Hotch and Morgen (not to gether before you start!!!)

I bet you could totally still browse the internet with your remaining smut-hand, too.

Smut-hand.

*falls off chair laughing and is unable to type*
And smut-hand!?! Random-ness to the highest degree!! lol thanks for the laughs tho guys lol

Can I just say-Yay CM on DVD October 31st!!!!!

I know, we're getting terribly random. I blame the Minds Behind, for not giving us a summer special or something, and making us wait all of this time for the sodding conclusion to the flippin' finale. Glad we make you laugh though :p

They should have given us a two-hour finale. :p Either that or they shouldn't have stopped the season. They can work all year round right? ...I mean I'm pretty sure there's no law against 'adult labour'.

But random is good if it keeps us from going insane. (Remember the randomness in the Speed thread? Oyvé) So I say be random and be merry. - As long as it leads to CM some way or another. :p

If randomness is needed to keep Speed threads alive, I say go for it. How else can we preserve the snark? :D With CM, we're really just interested in spreading the word and getting people to at least watch it.

(Someone tell Rory Cochrane to guest on CM. I'd DIE)

They don't even need the whole cast, they could have given us a Shemar special or something. Or Gideon's adventures in boobah land. Or concluded the finale mid-summer and given us a shiny new plot to start off with.

Back to the serious stuff - to the Criminally Minded in the UK - fear not! It's finally been picked up by terrestrial TV. Channel Five, our resident CSI channel, has bought the rights to show CM and it'll start showing on September 7th. That's the first series, people, a whole two weeks before the US gets the second series. Congrats UK TV, you slowpokes! But at least we get to see it again, and hopefully it'll pick up more fans.

Congrats to the UK! *flails spastically* :D

I've been trying to get more people to watch the show, but it's hard enough to get them to watch CSI, let alone a great show like Criminal Minds. They think it's all the same, which it's not. This show has a lot more depth, or angles if you will, into the 'criminal's mind' hense the title of the show.

They've had extremely interesting storylines, and the cases never fail to interest me until the last second of the show. (That of course being when the screen goes black and the credits start to roll) So I truly believe this show deserves more attention than it's getting. :)

I have the same problem with regards to getting people to watch the stuff I like. I got my parents watching Bones and CSI. My mother will watch CM but she doesn't really follow it as such.

I think what I like most about this show is the characters. They're not especially original in regards to stereotypes, but they're done so well. They're like this wonderfully dysfunctional little family.

Oh so true. But that's what makes them so great to watch onscreen. :D They've all got their little quirks, so they're not so flat as to completely bore the audience.

The best thing is - you know fine well that if they weren't working together they'd totally never socialise. Morgan and Reid as friends outside the BAU? Please. You've got this fabulously nerdy, sweater-vest wearing anti-social skinny boy facing off against macho girl-lovin' jock boy. It's awesome :D

It reminsa a lot of another program that I watched some time ago during late-spring entitled UNSUB. Too bad that it didn't last.

Wow, lots of activity in here! :D Glad to see we have so many fans posting. :D

Excellent point about Reid and Morgan not being friends if not for working together, Lyn.

This one? I've found a couple of pages on it, it seems to feature Richard Kind. I'm ever so slightly scared of him, I have to admit. *lol* Seems there were only eight episodes, but it definately is a precursor to CM.

I really like this show. I've gotten hooked on it.
I have a question about a recent rerun. I think it was the episode that was on Aug. 16th. There was a quote that Giddeon mentioned and I think he said it was written by Harriett Beecher Stowe. Is that right? And how can I find the quote? The episode was about the killings/murders in a small town and the town had not seen anything like that happen in a very long time. (I hope I'm not confusing anyone with my question, lol.)

I think this is the quote you're looking for (it's from 'Blood Hungry'); "The bitterest tears shed
over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone."

ETA: Here's a transcript site that has the first season up- Shadow Anthology

The quotes they have are one of my favorite things about CM. I hope they keep doing that in season 2. ;)

Here are some mild spoilers for the second season premiere from the futon critic. This page also has a guest cast listed, including the UNSUB and his name. Check it out if you're interested. I've quoted the main spoiler bit here:

"The team continues to unravel the clues and riddles of a psychopath in order to save his most recent victim, on the second season premiere of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Sept. 20 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Gloria Muzio directed the episode from a story by Edward Allen Bernero, one of the series' executive producers...Instead of focusing on the personal aspects of the case, Gideon tells the team to profile the killer as they would in any other investigation. While the team splits up to hunt down the killer, Dr. Reid stays behind to work on the clues -- and uncovers a personal connection that cannot be ignored and could crack the case wide open. Meanwhile, one of the team fights for their life."

Sounds exciting! :D
