CaRWash RP

Ryan puts his head down trying to hide his grin. He could tell she was embarrassed by the way her face matches the blood from the crime scene.
He feels a hand on his shoulder," Mr. Wolfe did everything go ok at the crime scene with Natalia today?"
Ryan turns around," yeah H, we had a small situation but...."
H cuts him off," what happen to your face?"
His eyes get huge," What sir?" He realizes his face is a mess," I um...just a misunderstanding, it's no big deal."
H takes off his sunglasses to have a better look," it's no big deal? Well it sure does look like a big deal to me. Who did you have this misunderstanding with?"
Ryan puts his head down," I'm sorry sir but I really don't want to talk about this. It's not work related and what happen won't affect my job performance. It's done, it's over and everything is ok."
H knew he was hiding something, protecting someone, but he could see he wasn't about to give the person up. “Ok Mr. Wolfe, just make sure it doesn't cause any problems here."

Ryan lets out a sigh of relief. He thought for sure he would have demanded to know the whole story.
H puts his glasses back on," oh have you and Natalia got the evidence from the autopsies done yet?
Ryan shakes his head," no sir, not yet."
H grins," what are you waiting for then?"
“I’m on it." He says with a smile, then heads off to find Boa again.

The next day came all too quickly for Eric as he wandered back into the crime lab that morning. His head hurt from drinking too much tequila and he was still pissed with everybody; he had no idea why he'd bothered to come in. He should have pulled a sick day, maybe gone to the beach and get in some diving to clear his head. As he walked to the locker room he could sense people staring at him, obviously word had got out about his altercation with Ryan.

Natalia walked past him with her head down. Things between them hadn't been at all good after they split up and he sensed that yesterday had just made them worse. He spotted Wolfe over in the corner, shooting him daggers. He stared back just as intensly until he was out of sight. Frankly he couldn't care what any of them thought of him. There was only one person whose opinion mattered to him, and she was still nowhere to be seen. Was she trying to avoid him?

Ryan gets to her lab and looks inside at Boa, seeing her staring into space, deep in thought. “Knock, knock. Hey are you up for your first autopsy?” She looks up at him with a look of pure fear. He grins,” your in luck, it’s going to be a double one, double the fun.” He thinks in his head,” double the fun for me.”

Natalia was sitting in her office, daydreaming. Daydreaming about Ryan. Not in the mushy-gooshy way but in the way that she wants him so bad because she can'r have him. For now atleast. Did that mean she would have to play hard to get?

Ryan nocked on the door and told her she had an autopsy she had to go too, a double autopsy. Natalia tried to act tough but he saw right through her. "Oh, thats today? I haven't really being thinking too much about it." She stood up trying her best to seem like she was fine. But her best wasn't too good. When she got up she felt lighthead and had to grab onto the chairs handle for support. "A double huh? The more the merrier." She smirked and followed behind him to the morgue.

In the morgue they are greeted by ALexx. She gives Ryan a worried look as she sees the damage done to his face, then she looks down at her watch,” glad to see you know how to tell time honey.” She has already started on the autopsies, one down one to go. He raises his brow,” sorry Alexx, but you know what my life has been like, can you cut me some slack?” She smiles,” you know I’ll cut you all the slack you need baby boy.” Ryan looks at the body on the table,” did you find anything?” She points,” I’m done with that one. I bagged everything I found.” Ryan looks at Boa,” I’m going to go look at the evidence over there, um you stay here with Alexx and observe this. Keep your eyes opens.”

When Natalia got to the morgue she was happy to know Alexx already autopsied a body. Okay, just one body. Thats it. And Ryan will be right there. Then Ryan tells her he's going to be looking at the evidence will she has to look at the dead body having its insides taken out. He tells her to keep her eyes open. "Don't worry, I wouldn't miss this for the world." She rolled her eyes and Alexx gave her a challenging look. She also said they're was bucket to her right if she needed it. "Thanks Alexx." She mumbed. "Well lets get this started!" Alexx seemed amused and she could have sworn she saw Ryan laugh. Alexx grabbed her scalple and began cutting the body open in a Y shape. Natalia felt a lump in her throught. This isn't too bad.. Now she was lying to herself. She watched as Alexx pulled out an electric saw, the ones used on bodies. "Natalia, you might want to step back." She smiled and pulled on a clear mask. Alexx cut through the skin, while Natalia closed her eyes. She didn't care about what Ryan said. She just about lost it when Alexx peeled back the skin and told her to look inside. "Now, look at this man's heart. He definatly had a heart condision." Alexx was feeling all around the mans heart, and then pulled it out. There is no way im look- Her thoughts got cut off as she saw Alexx holding the mans heart. "Baby, are you ok?" Natalia just stood there, and then ran for the bucket. After she was done losing her lunch she started shaking. "I-I can't do this." She shook her head.

Ryan walks over to her putting his hand on her back," Natalia you can do this, just set your mind to it. You have your stomach emptied, now go back over there and finish." He focused on her chin then touched his own," um you might want to get that vomit off your face first." He turns around walking back to his own body ," see I can be supportive."

Natalia was bent over when Ryan put his hand on her back. How embarrassing. She wipes her chin, stands up and walks over to the table. "You ready?" Alexx asked her. "Yeah." She mummbled. The entire time Alexx did the autposy she felt like she was going to hurl...Again. When it was done she ran out of the morgue with the bullets retreived from the bodies and right into the washroom. She didn't want to talk to anyone.

Natalia bolted out with the evidence and Ryan looks at Alexx with a playful look," well that was fun." He crosses his arms," well I'm done too. I'm going to get this evidence to trace. Thanks Alexx." She winks at him," you got honey. We need to finish our talk someday." Ryan rolls his eyes around," someday we will, but right now I have to get this done."

(Okay just to let everyone know after much deliberation, I will be taking over the role of Calleigh until Dutchie is back on. We tried to carry on without her but it's just to hard doing a Carwash RP without one of the main characters. Just to clarify, I'm not trying to steal Dutchie's part of anything, she will be resuming the role whenever she's back on. I'm not trying to step on anybody's toes ;).)

Calleigh bustled around the lab in a hurry. She had been so busy since her altercation with Delko. She knew she should try to speak to him; his attitude was totally out of character but with 9 open cases she just didn't have the time. Plus, dealing with emotions wasn't exactly her favourite thing. But she wanted to be a good friend, she knew they had drifted apart alot recently and that hurt. She made a mental note that she would have to talk to him soon, even if it meant she was a few minutes late for whatever Josh had planned for them tonight.

"Hey, have you got the results from that substance on Torrie Kellerman's skirt?" she asked the flustered lab tech as she walked into the Trace lab. "Yeah, sure. They're around here somewhere," The flustered tech sifted through piles of paper on her desk, clearly the printer was playing up again. Finally locating them she let out a satisfied sigh and handed them to Calleigh. "Excellent," the blonde murmured, noticing Ryan enter the opposite door to her. "Hey Ryan."

"Hey." he relpied half-heartedly. Calleigh's head shot up, she could tell by the tone of his voice that something wasn't right. It didn't take long for her to register the countless cuts and bruises that adorned his face. "Oh my god, what the hell happened to you?"

The new day started out better then yesterday. He wasn't throwing up anymore, but then again he hadn't seen Calleigh all day yesterday. They may have been working on the same case, but thankfully it didn't force him to work with her, like he thought he was going to have to. He was still really fuming over his fight with Delko. He just couldn't figure out what his problem was. In the last year they had been getting along, even joking around with each other and having some fun at work. Why all of a sudden was he now his number one enemy? All night he played back the day in his head, no the last few weeks in his head trying to figure out what happened between them, because some how he missed it. He knew Delko was having a hard time dealing with his sister’s death, and he wasn't getting any help for it. But Ryan showed him sympathy, and offered to be there for him. He thought everything was fine between them, but yesterday proved he was very mistaken. As he got to work he prayed for an easier day, oh wait him and Delko had court today and never prepared for it. Yeah, today was going to be just as wonderful. As he walks into the lab and looks up his day gets even worse. Calleigh is right in front of him asking what happen to his face.
He licks his swore swelled lip,” hey Cal how is it going? My face, oh I just had a little scuffle, no big deal.” He sees she’s about to say something else so he stops her,” how’s your part of the case going? Any leads, good evidence? How about all the suspects, their same as ours…” She cuts him off.

"Stop trying to change the subject, it's not going to work." Calleigh's face was contorted with worry. "Tell me the truth Ryan. What happened to you?" Just as he was about to relpy, Eric came into the lab, slamming the door out of his way aggresively. "My results. Where are they?" he demanded.

Calleigh's diverted her eyes from Ryan and towards Eric. She couldn't possibly fail to notice his face was just as bruised and battered as Wolfe's. She observed things for a living, and it didn't take her long to put two and two together. What were the odds that both of her coworkers had ended up in serious fights with other people the same day, and it wasn't like she couldn't feel the tension resonating between them. She couldn't believe that they had let it go this far.

Delko could see Calleigh silently figuring out what had happened. Both he and Ryan started to try and explain, but it quickly descended into another arguement. Calleigh was fed up of being put in the middle of their constant fights, and this was a step too far. She slammed her fist down on the table, and the room fell silent. "Somebody tell me what the hell is going on right now! she screamed furiously. The two CSI's and the lab tech looked at each other pointedly, wondering who had the guts to be the first one to answer her.

Ryan was going to try to get out of the truth, tell her it was nothing and stick to it, but then Delko came busting through the door with his marks. Ryan looks at him, seeing his battle wounds and feeling joy that he has just as many as he does. But then he realizes Calleigh put it all together and she wasn't happy with either of them. Both try to explain it to her but then it turns into another round, until Calleigh had enough slamming her fist down. Ryan has never seen such fury come out of such a beautiful woman. After a few minutes of silence Ryan finally mustered the courage to speak.

“I’m not sure what his problem is to be honest. I mean you saw him bump into me in the morning.” He looks at Delko,” what the hell was your problem? What did I do to you? I thought we were cool now, but evidently I missed something. Tell me Delko, what did I do to you?”

"Don't play dumb Wolfe," he spat back angrily, "You know damn well what's going on between us." Calleigh looked very taken aback. She'd never really seen this side of Eric. She really wanted to be angry at him, just because he had some serious personal issues to deal with didn't mean he could treat people so badly. But she couldn't stay mad at him the way things stood, partly because she felt so guilty about not being there for him. She couldn't be mad at Ryan either. She'd always felt a little overproctective of him ever since he arrived. Eric has always been a little hard on him. Calleigh was not naive by a long shot, she knew Ryan wasn't as innocent as he may seem, and certainly didn't help sometimes. The one thing she did know was that now was not the time or place that this was going to be sorted out.

"You know what, forget it. I've had enough of both of you and your childish behaviour." She turned swiftly on her heel and all they could do was watch her leave. A big part of Eric felt like going after her, but he was just too upset, angry and emotional to do anything. He looked at Ryan once more, they both looked very guilty. As much as he didn't like Ryan he knew he never wanted to hurt Calleigh in anyway. The group finally dispersed when Horatio popped his head in the door. He surveyed the room with interest.

"Is everything okay in here?" A few mumbled 'yeah's' and nods were all he got in reply. "Good, Eric can I have a word?" Eric skulked off behind his boss until they reached his office. "So Eric," Horatio asked, "What happened to your face?"

"Oh this," he mumbled, running his fingers over his split lip, "It's nothing. I..uh..fell down the stairs." It sounded stupid, but for some reason he couldn't tell Horatio the truth. Eric figured he already knew anyway, otherwise he wouldn't be there. He knew how much Wolfe liked to squeal on him.

"Some stairs, huh?" Horatio looked sceptically, "You weren't the only one. Mr. Wolfe got into a little situation as well."

"Really?"

"Yeah," the supervisor continued, "He doesn't seem to want to share the details with me though." Eric's head shot up in surprise. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about this would you?" Eric's gazed dropped to the floor and he shuffled his feet uncomfortably. Avoiding telling the truth was one thing, but he couldn't flat out lie to his boss. He was very confused about Wolfe. Why hadn't he been willing to fill Horatio in? Luckily, he was saved as the man in question walked through the door.

"You paged me, H?" Ryan asked. "I did indeed. I need you and Eric to go to a murder scene downtown. A young man was found outside of a known drug hotspot, and we believe the murder might have something to do with it. I need you two to investigate." The two nodded silently and headed for the door. Surely they could keep their emotions in check to work one scene together, even if just for the sake of their jobs.

Horatio followed them into the hallway. "Oh and Eric," the pair turned to face him, "Steer clear of any staircases, okay?" A wry smile crossed Horatio's lips and Eric knew exactly what he meant.

"Sure thing, H."

Ryan walks behind Eric all the way to the Hummer. He can't believe he's stuck doing a case with him, didn't he have enough. Damn they needed to hire some new csi's or people needed to quit killing each other. He thinks in his head there’s a better chance of people not killing each other then the city hiring more csi's. He's trying to keep his mind busy to avoid HIM. Once on the car Ryan decides the silence wasn't going to work, they had to learn to communicate for the sake of their jobs. He decides he has to be the bigger man.

He glances over at him,” Listen Delko I’m sorry for whatever I did to piss you off so badly. This is our job, a job that we work 12 to 16 hours a day at, together. We have to learn to get along. I’m not saying I want to be your best buddy or even your friend, but I’m your partner and I want to be able to trust you to back me up. I want to be able to trust you with my life. I need to know that your not going to let someone shoot me, ok.” He gives him a half smile.
