Carmine Giovinazzo

Oh yeah -- but a little toning down for him might work too. Give Flack space for his own drama. Hahahahhah ...

I sooo want more Flack and Danny friendship scenes.

^Oh, I don't know! I don't think toned down Danny works all that well. He's just not as interesting that way.

I do agree that Flack should have some drama, but I don't think he handles emotional situations the same way Danny does. Flack is much more likely to seem to have a handle on things and then just get pushed so far he loses it. Danny loses it over everything, but I think it would take a lot for Flack to get worked up. I'd love to see it though.

And yes, more of these two working together would be great! Their friendship really is the strongest relationship on the show I think.

I would like to see Danny being the 'support' this time (to Flack maybe). Not being the one 'supported'. I mean, he's pretty loud with his feelings but very seldom he showed concern with it looking like "oh it's nothing; forget about it and go back to work."

I'm sure Carmine's pretty capable of pulling that off.

I second Top...A toned down Dan doesn't cut it for anyone...
As for Flack having his own drama to cope with,i'm all for it...So long as it doesn't steal the show from Dan...
Ah who am i kidding?
Dan is the resident drama queen..Nobody is going to take that title from him that easily...
And yes,the two make the best pair on screen for friendship...Dan has to be supportive of Flack now, given the season two finale...I'm sure he's more than able to pull it off...Let's see what the writers have in store for us...

The Dan and Mac team, however, make the best drama pair...

Danny only has to stand there and that's drama enough hahahahah! He exudes drama lol! Idk if Carmine knows that -- oh do tell him, Top the next time you interview him hahahahah.

Oftentimes, it's Danny who steals the moment -- he can't help but be the center.

Mac and Danny gives me a father-son relationship because for me, Danny's like a lost little boy. And the way he craves attention and recognition from Mac is kinda like how a son looks up to a father and wants to make him proud.

True..Danny does exude drama..He's got that look to him...
Dan unwittingly becomes the centre,i must add...He just acts according to his guts...And that guts gets him that attention he deserves....

They do have that father-son dynamic but its the down to the working methods of the two...Both disapprove of each other's style...Dan puts emotions first, evidence second...Mac,on the other hand, puts evidence first and emotion somewhere along his list of priorities...

Danny's absolutely like a lost little boy, which is why perhaps he's not much of a support to anyone. Danny's emotional and needy, and let's face it, Flack is by far the stronger of the two. If Danny had been hurt in that bombing, Flack never would have left his side, and afterwards, Danny would have complained and whined and carried on for months. Flack is just the more stoic sort.

I think Danny and Mac are definitely opposites, so I'm intrigued to see how their relationship will evolve in the third season. I'd like to see more of the conflict between the two that existed in season one!

^I love a whining Danny. I don't think he whined at Flack yet on the show but he always does with Aiden. He tried with Mac but I guess, one look from Daddy means I have to shut the hell up and haul my ass back to work.

Well, yeah -- he seems to be emotionally needy but maybe he'll be hit in the head, realizing that Flack needs him more now and .... idk -- I'm babbling hahahhaha.

I think Flack is just naturally tougher than Danny is. I don't know that Flack would ever be that needy because that just doesn't seem to be in his nature. Danny definitely whined at Flack in "On the Job," and Flack was so good and patient with him! Mac doesn't really stand for it, though.

^True. I reckon it roots back from their childhoods. Flack might've been raised in a more settled environment while Danny on the other end of the stick. And it's just so nice that they are closest to each other regardless of their differences.

^That's me saying it in the most innocent context hahahah*

^ They're cute--a kind of opposite sides of the track friendship. I love how patient Flack is with Danny at every turn--it's obvious how much he cares for and sympathizes with Danny. I think Flack was raised very differently--even if his father was stern and hard on him, I think his family life was probably relatively stable. Whereas I have a feeling Danny kind of grappled with uncertainty and choas when he was growing up.

^So true. Even my mom says that. She said, "Danny's such a punk. He's lucky that Flack hasn't busted his ass yet." Or something to that effect hahahah.

Opposites attract eh?Innocent till proven guilty chaos....Haha...
Danny the punk...Nice line...Haha...Your mom's got a good sense of humour chaos...

Flack was definitely raised in a stable family situation..No doubt about that..Son of a NYPD legend...I doubt the legend would have allowed his son to go astray...
Danny however has a rough life..Mafia relations and all that...Personally,the fact that he was able to throw all of that away and act the way he is now is really astonishing...

^True. Sadly, they haven't explored the Mafia-relationship of the Messer family apart from Tanglewood.

And as for the Flack family -- er.... next to nothing. I do hope that the writers see the richness in each character's back story and build on it together with the forensics of the show.

^I'd really like the writers to delve into Danny's family first...He's got the most rough character in the team...

Yes..The only thing about Flack that we know is that his pop is a legend in the PD...Nothing else...
The writers have to delve into the backgrounds...I'm all for that..As long as it doesn't become too melodramatic,it'll be hell of an idea!!
