Much as I dislike Cath running her own rape kit rather than going to the crime lab for it, it is totally in her character. When she wanted to find out if Sam was her father, she didn't go about it in a professional matter. She went about it in a personal matter.

Sometimes, when stressed, Catherine doesn't make right choices. This one may come back to bite her, it may not, but it makes perfect sense for her to want to know, even if it can't help her in court. Catherine has an ache for the truth when it comes to her life since so much of it was filled with lies. After all she has been through, she wants the facts, which might be part of what led her to enjoy a life as a CSI so much.

In short, I don't think Cath has any intentions of giving her evidence over to the lab (because it won't be admissable in court, anyways) or attempting to use it later. It's just for her, in my opinion.
 
^Yeah that's true, that is totally her character. I wasnt even surprised she did it because i actually expected that from her. But it was really sad though.
 
K-- new person posting... although the thing with sam was mentioned, and the guys gay lover being the man that killed him -- no one mentioned why. my thoery is that sam was responsible for something (either the pressure from the new casino) or sam wanted to get something or was using the guy. Remember -- they were there bc of sams new casino -- so sam has to be part of :)
 
^I don't know, maybe, maybe not. It just happens that Sam attracts trouble so yeah. And Yes it is def. Cath's character, when she was doing her own rape kit, I think that she wasn't thinking straight. And I think that when she is thinking straight, she's NOT going to process it.
 
^^Maybe it's true that Sam is not an angel...And that his relationship with Catherine is bit twisted...

But i like him. well, i like them together.

I'd be sorry if he really died at least. I'm sure the ambulance is for Sam. I remember someone saying Sam could die in Catherine's arms...And I can actually imagine the scene, with Catherine screaming for an ambulance. That's DEFINITELY something Catherine would do 4 a person she loves
 
^ yep deff. possibility. So the ambulance is for either sam or lindsay. I believe it could be for either.. but I still have a feeling its lindsay. Not saying it's not Sam.. Just to clear that up. I just saw the setting. Unless Sam is in on the kidnapping of Lindsay and got shot on the scene linds was found at. IDK. theory's theory's theory's we'll never know untill 9 tonight. =*[
 
I personally feel that Catherine will process the evidence she collected for one simple reason. The not knowing what happened to her will really bother her, and she is going to want a confirmation of some sort....even if deep down she knows...she's going to want to know without doubt. What botheres me about this is...what if her attacker used a condom?!?!?!?!? Does that mean...she could go on...without ever knowing what really happened to her?!?!?!

I really hate that the writers made Catherine get raped. Just really bothers me...I don't think she will ever be the same again.

I also don't see how the writers could just drop this storyline. This type of crime happens too often in real life for them to just ignore it. I think it will kind of be a big deal...maybe not for long, but I just don't see how they could make something so detrimental happen to her, and then...act like it never happened to her.

I saw the episode being unspoiled, and I can honestly say after seeing that...I had a hard time sleeping. I heard Marg saying how the incident left Catherine feeling Raw...and boy did she hit the nail on the head with her acting capabilities.

Just a thought...obviously Catherine did not drive anywhere. So how does she get away from the hotel? Walk? I wonder if maybe her vehichle might be noticed at the bar after everyone else has left...and her car is alone in the parking lot.

I just hope someone is there for her. I can see Warrick being there for her. He seems always to be concerned for her well being. Just some thoughts.
 
^ I think she might be able to get over it.. .. well what I mean is that she will get on with her life and not dwell on the past. .

And yeah having Cath get raped is a little extreme.. pretty soon this will be a soap.. Which I wouldn't mind but really this is just like drama and mystery.

CSI shouldn't TRY to compete with Grey's. The more they try.. the more they're not like themselfs.

Yeah just like in that one with the guy that attack's Cath. I agree Warrick is always there for her. And with Linds involved.. he's going to be pissed. =]

Well I hope that everything works out good. And I hope that they catch Cath's rapist, and find linds, and get over sam's death. If anyone saw the vid on youtube for "CSI rocks" shes dancing with the team. So either she didn't tell them and is trying to act normal or she DOES get on with her life. =]
 
^ The dancing scene from the "CSI Rocks" ad is actually from a behind-the-scenes clip (see my signature banner) they made while filming Grave Danger last year, not from season 7. Just FYI. :)
