Adrien Brody

^ I remember reading that in high school. My teacher, a native a Spain, said that her brother was actually at the arena that day and witnessed it.

OH, Hummer, I know you are good at making banners...;) Could I beseech you to make a banner for me, with the pic which Hormiga has put up...from Manolete? Give the pic some extras to stess the mood, it's the firt time I saw him like that...would you?

I'd be glad to make the banner for you. I'll get to work on it and post it here or PM you when I get it ready. Whichever you like.

BTW, about the caps previous... :D It's a movie named The Last Time I commit suicide. Have you watched? Brody just has several scenes in that movie, but the way he talked is that humor. I guess it might cost the writers inspiration...

Thanks for telling me which movie it is. I haven't seen that one yet in it's entirety - I caught the ending on TV once I think - but I'll have to see it.

I just need to post in here to vent my enthusiasm.

Yaaaayyyyyy *does happy dance* I'm finally going to watch 'King Kong' tomorrow, I can't wait to see Adrien in this film. I'm so excited. It will bring the total of Adrien films I've seen to 3 (it's crap I know :(), but I'll also be watching ‘The Pianist’ very soon.

Big up the Adrien love, the guy is such a great actor, truly amazing. :)

Awesome news, Tink! :D Hey, don't worry about the amount you've seen. Looks to me like you're steadily uping your number. Pianist definately being Brody acting his best.

Concerning King Kong, I know a lot of people complain about the length of the movie (little over three hours) but to me it just means more screentime for Adrien. The shirtless scene being a fav of mine. Hope you post all your thoughts on it.

I don't what Brody would show for us, but Manolete is really a brave and famouse fighter in Spanish. Have you watched the movie Cladiator, Hormiga? If you liek that movie, I guess you would like the Manolete... Though life differs for everyone, but for these fighters, no matter at arena or not, what they fight is the same: honour, honor of life... I remember someone onece said:

For a mirace, he sacrisfied his live.

Maybe it is the right principle for all those fighters, who would fight as risk of their life--a way of living.  Hope my word won't destroy your mood to watch that movie...I mean if you would think about watching it, Manolete.

And, Hummer, you are that generous to make one banner for me! *in earnest* Considering about other Brody fans, I think you could put up the banner here, in your post...so that everyone could keep it if they like...of course, I mean if you would like to share it hither.

Thinkbell, I'm glad to hear you will watch Kingkong... Your time with Brody would shoe you the word "worth"...though I agree that the time is a bit long for the whole story... The role for Brody is suitable...a scriptwriter...sometimes I thought where all his innocent expressions come from?... The inspiration may come with writting... You know when you write, it is your heart who is talking... Whatever, hope you enjoy that movie...Oh, and don't forget to share your views about Kingkong hither, with us.

Now, I'm planning for next week...becoz those stores far away...  :D

I disagree with you, bullfighters torture and kill bulls for people's amusement and I can't believe there are people so cruel in my own country that find that disgusting thing "amusing".
So I can't see your point about Manolete's "heroicity".
Bullfighting is something I feel ashame about.

Alright then, I'll post it here for all of you guys to stare at ;) and do whatever. Also, I want to remind everyone that if they have any graphics needs - either AB related or not - feel free to ask me here (if it's related, of course) or PM me. :)

Also, I'll PM you, and whoever wishes, the diet coke commercial as soon as I get home from work. :)

I understand your feeling, Hormiga, indeed...though it makes me feel we are taking two path seperately... Talking about torture in bullfight, first bid which position you lay, the participant or the spectator? As a spectator, I see no entertainment in bullfight, regarding killing (no matter bull or people) as amusing. Only sick people would hold that notion. But as a participant, a volunteer, things differ. You take it as kinda honor, pursuing through your life, as far as it stays legitimate.

BTW, Hormiga, are you the younger in your family?

Hey, Hummer, I'm waiting for both...you know what I mean...

lantiscod here is the banner. I made it according to the banner rule size for this site, so if you need it any larger - for another board perhaps - let me know:

As for the commercial I'm sending you the site now. :)

You are that nice, Hummer! Thank you so much! :D

The name speaks first...

That's what your banner first impressed me!   I like this banner, indeed! Oh, you may noticed I have used another avvy, which means I've been ready for the banner for one day...and it does suits my avvy...I mean the keynote...   Besides, yes, I may haunt in other websites sometime...but as its mood differs, I have to use other banner/avvy...suits their taste...anyway, thank you so much!

lantiscod love ur new AB banner, again one delightful Hummer`s art work :D i still have to try find some free time and to watch AB`s movie Liberty Heights (1999) :( have hear that it`s good comedy ;)

btw did u have hear Josh Groban songs ?! if so u can come with Hummer and me in his thread. :p

Hi, sandleissocute :)!

Adrien Brody is the thirty-three-year-old actor who won Best Actor at the Academy Awards for Roman Polanki's 2002 film 'Pianist' and has also starred in other films such as: 'King Kong', 'The Village', 'The Jacket', 'Oxygen', etc.

His profile here, at imdb.com , may help you a bit. I know there are a lot of people who are unaware of who he is and it is sad sometimes. If you've ever seen any of his roles you - more than likely - agree with this.

sandleissocute nice to see u in AB thread. hope u will have chance to see some AB`s movies. believe me u will like him a lot like actor :D

Hummer thanks for share with us this info for hollywoodland movie that will be in theaters september 8. i with big impatient will wait to see it :)

First, leave you guys, Hummer and Pusher the welcome work...of course I am standing aside, just watching, and liberating my smiles...to illume the whole room... (enjoying watching your hugs)

Second, I think I guessed who Josh Groban is, Pusher ...the guy in Hummer's avvy?! I think haven't listend his music before, but checked his info in IMBD...and seen some of his photoes... WOW~ Cute boy, kinda like AB, but a bit mature! (I mean the appreance)... Err, are his parents or grandparents Hellene? (Just thought of this at my first sight...:D well, if I'm wrong, do correct me) btw, Pusher, did I tell you that I like instruments bit more than human voice? Have to claim I pay no discrimination on human voice, just a bit more like to instruments...you understand, right?! :D  But will try to listen to his if I could find one at my sister's...

Third, I have experienced the totally meaning of the word "upset"... I went to three shops bfor AB's movie, but all that they have are just what I already have! :--: And I was that excited when the keeper told me they have AB's movies, and many... :--:

Fourth, glad to know that Hollywoodland will be on theatre in Sep....it mean I could get it one month's later...one month?...don't you think it's tooooo long?

Sorry for the wait on this, I was supposed to see it last Sunday, but something came up, so I only managed to watch it yesterday.

Anyway, how gorgeous was Adrien in this film? I really couldn't wait for his first scene, I was sitting on the edge of my seat. I really loved his character, I loved the scene when he was trying to get off the boat.

Adrien is one of the best young actors of our time and I think it really shows in this film. I loved The Jacket, but for me (out of the 3 AB films I've seen!) 'King Kong' is my favourite AB film (this may change after I watch the Pianist ;)).

*huggles* Hummer! I agree with you 100% in regards to the length of the film. Yes, it was 2 hours and 50 minutes long, but at no point during the film did I think "God, this is going on forever". Looking back the scenes on Skull Island were quite long, but to be honest, I really enjoyed those scenes. As you mentioned, it means a lot more AB time, which is fine by me. ;)

lantiscod & Pusher you two are welcome for the Hollywoodland info. It's really going to be an awesome movie and I couldn't be happier about all the buzz.

And lantiscod I hope you find more movies.

*huggles back*Tink I'm so glad you liked it and it’s so good to have someone who finally agrees with me on the length! It's one of my fav of his also.
Adrien is indeed gorgeous in this movie; I love the cute little way he had his hair combed. I was a little upset, as you might've been, when they:

left Jack, Adrien's character, on the table after he was knocked out by the natives. Ann was off somewhere doing nothing. I would've been right there with him! Of course, what else can you expect from a dame who falls for apes? ;) Still, Naomi performed brilliantly.

Oh, did you get the two disk feature? I found the second disk rather insightful; AB actually doing his own stunt driving. There were even rumors that he broke his wrist in one scene.

And concerning The Pianist you’ll find that AB wears the same suit that he wore in the first scene of King Kong. The reason being, that the two films had the same wardrobe providers. Also, AB lost 30 lbs. and sold his car, moved out of his apartment, and stayed in a hotel room for several weeks, away from family and friends (the result being his girlfriend leaving him), in preparation for this role. Just some history on it. :)
